Bounding Box Overlap Print Issues - Very FRUSTRATED?
Someone with more knowledge than I, please help.
I have created several works in AI. In nearly all of them I've had issues printing to .pdf especially when the bounding boxes for my text elements overlap each other.
The result when printed is an occluding/blocking/masking of the text so that the color is not correct and there is a clear line where the bounding box is overlapping the text elements.
This seems to be happening regardless if the two text boxes are in the same layer or separate layers.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to make this a NON-issue.
Can someone please provide me with an answer. I have a deadline to meet and this is driving me out of my mind.

Any way you could post a screen shot of the problem? Is text getting clipped? Not sure if a bounding box would effect anything related to color. I usually apply a locked holding line around the document ( i.e., if the document is 8.5 x 11", create a holding line [ rectangle ] 8.5 x 11 with no stroke, no fill ). Then, the PDF will technically hold all of the contents without anything getting clipped.

Serial Number Issues - very frustrated!
I am amazed at how Adobe handles their issues. I have been working on this easy process of finding my serial number but it's been over a month now and after providing documentation that I am who I am and a ton of additional information - I swear the next piece they were going to ask was to finger print me. They finally found my order - yeah! They gave me a serial number and closed my case. It didn't work. I have re-opened this case and it was immediately closed stating it was taken care of (thanks which i Mohammed!). They tell you to re-open the case if you are still having issues, which I was...then they close it not even a half hour later stating it's been resolved. WHAT??? NO! I need the correct serial number to fix this!
Without knowing anything about your case, it’s possible that the serial number is for the correct product but for a different licensing type and to fix things you just have to find the correct installer for the product that matches the license type.
What product is the serial number supposedly for and/or what product are you trying to install?
What license type is it: individual, academic, student, teacher, enterprise, government, teams, cloud?
Do you have a chat transcript that you can review again, privately, to help determine what license type the serial number is for?
Don’t post your serial number, here, in its entirety or even most of it, because this is a public forum, but can you give us the first 4 digits (of the 24 digits) because some Adobe products, at least, have the same four digits for each product serial number at least of a specific license type and sometimes for all license types, and that would help validate whether the serial number you’ve been given matches what you’re trying to install. For example, all recent Lightroom serial numbers for the Individual license type start with the four digits 1160. -
Digital Library issues - VERY frustrating
Like many others on here, I am unable to log into my digital library. I can log in the main account just fine, but the library sign in won't work.

I was disappointed to read that you've had trouble accessing your digital library. There's little more frustrating that not being able to access an account easily and I regret that you've encountered roadblocks to downloading your software.
In looking into your situation, I note that you called in yesterday afternoon and that an e-mail message containing troubleshooting and further instructions was sent to you. Were you able to resolve the issue as a result? Also, another Unboxed member provided a solution that worked for him, so you may wish to try the steps he outlined. I have a Canon Pixma MP780 networked from a Windows XP system. I can see and add the printer from my IMAC. When I try to print to the printer the print queue shows that it completed however nothing ever prints. I can find nothing that details this issue. To further complicate things I have downloaded the drivers from the Canon website but the printer still does not show up as an available Canon printer when I try to configure the printer.
Very frustrated...please help.The Canon driver cannot be used when you are sharing the printer from Windows. You can only use it for direct USB connections to the Mac or when connected to an Airport base station.
What you need is the Gutenprint drivers available from Sourceforge. Version 5.1.3 inlcudes the MP780 as a supported device. After installing this software, you will see the Canon PIXMA MP780 - CUPS + Gutenprint v5.1.3 in the Print Using menu. -
Images with transperencies or effects created in InDesign are printing with bounding box
Hey everyone! My first post here, but I have been having fits over an
issue that keeps popping up.
If I give an image a drop shadow or create and overlay, I sometimes get the bounding box showing through on the pdf or the printed copy. What is causing this? I have read about the white box effect and the yucky discolored box effect, but this is a tad bit different. Hope someone can help. Thanks!Thanks Peter! I have been syncing calendar and contacts on my iPhone 5 and Outlook 2007 using iCloud 2.1.3 (my PC is running Vista). All was well until the events I entered on the phone were showing up in Outlook, but not the other way around. I’ve tried the usual recommended steps: deselecting calendar and contacts in the iCloud control panel and then re-selecting, signing out of the panel and back in, and repairing the Outlook installation in control panel. I even uninstalled iCloud on the PC and downloaded it again (same version).
The furthest I’ve gotten is step 2 (and once, step 3) of 7 while performing “Outlook Setup For iCloud.” At that point I get, “Your setup couldn’t be started because of an unexpected error.” After the first attempt at all this, all my calendar events disappeared from Outlook, although they are still in iCloud calendar and on my phone.

Downloaded IOS 7 and now I do not have a dictionary in iBook. This is very frustrating. What can be done to fix this issue?
I've got to agree with Allan. It sounds like the hard drive is corrupt at least. It's possible it might be physically failing. Without backups, it's possible your data is already gone. You need a professional to help you.
If you do not have an Apple Store near you or simply don't have the time to spare, there are some things you can try, but you must understand that it's possible these things could make the chances of recovering your data worse than they already are. Perform the instructions to follow at your own risk!
First, you can try repairing your hard drive with Disk Utility. If that works, see if you can start up the machine. If you can, the very first thing you need to do is back up any data you don't want to lose. You may still need to take other steps, as your system may be damaged as well, but getting the data is the important part.
If Disk Utility cannot repair the problems, you can try DiskWarrior. It can repair problems that Disk Utility cannot. However, it also increases the risk of destroying your data if it fails. If it works and you can start up the machine, do the same as I advised for following success with Disk Utility.
If repairs (with either) were successful, but the machine still won't start up, you can try reinstalling the system. Hold down command-R at startup and then just install right on top of the existing system. If all goes well, you'll be able to start up afterwards and can get your data backed up. If all goes badly, it'll further decrease the chances of getting your data back.
If neither can repair the damage, you're in bad shape. You will need a professional to help you, unless you are willing to lose all your data. -
My Verizon wireless service at my house has begun to degrade over the last 6 Month. It has begun to be very frustrating seeing how we switched over from Satellite to Verizon 4GLTE wireless device. How do I contact someone to see what the issue may be. Zip Code 22580.
Out of curiosity how much data per month are you using? Another factor could be if neighbors have all done the same thing as you and the node is being overloaded on home internet use.

And here is where it dead ends. There's no place to enter an alternate name under 40 characters, there's nothing to click on. And this has been happening every time my wife has tried to log in. -
Since downloading IOS8 when I log in to certain websites that are password specific, despite checking the keep logged in box, when I go back to home screen then back to website, I have been logged out and have to log back in-very frustrating-any ideas please?
To see registered devices in My account:
1) Go to Account > My Account
2) Scroll down, and ensure that that you first have an active subscrption (if you do not, you are not logged in to you Ovi Music unlimited account)
3) Below Unlimited downloads subscription box, you should have a Registered devices box.

Bounding box issue - In design CS6
I keep having problems with page content disappearing and then the "unable to set bounding box" alert popping up when I try to remedy.
This is a 600+ page user manual with 100s of screenshots. I have a fair amount of page breaks in the doc, and the issue seems to be related to this (although I am not sure). Can anyone please give me some advice on this? Thank you!TechWriter_ID wrote:

Photo bounding box shows when printed
I'm a new user to the programs and I've edited a photo in photoshop, took the background from around a moth, then placed it on a book cover. When the cover is printed you can see the bounding box(shows darker than the background color) where the background used to be. On screen you don't see any difference. I can't figure out how to get the file not to show the background and whether it is a photoshop change or an InDesign change. Can some one please help in how to make this change? Thanks for helping out a newbie!
It sounds like the bounding box area is almost black and your background is black. The difference between what you see on screen and what prints can be as simple as rgb vs cmyk. Where as the rgb or monitor shows both to be black and cmyk or printer shows a shift in brightness between the two values.
If this sounds like whats happening a simple fix is to use the levels command, you will find three eye droppers the bottom one sets the black level, click on the dropper then onto the area that is suppose to be black. This will force that area or I should say values to be black.
In other words if you had three shades in an image, one thats white, one thats 50 % grey, and one thats black. Using the eye dropper and clicking on the grey shade would tell photoshop to treat anything in the image that is between 50% and 100% black as black and leave the rest of the image alone. -
What happened ? Why can I no longer print PDF on my mac pro???????? Uninstalled reinstalled 3 times very very frustrated
I cant print anything now from my computer to my hp printer. Never had this happen until November or December. Then it seemed to be OK. now today I cant print one thing. not from my gmail, or the Matrix portal I use as a realtor. My office partner is connected to the same printer and his is fine. Mine prints nothing. All I get is a print screen that says loading preview... and the .. keep moving and nothing ever shows up. If I try to to to a PDF (which is the only way we could print anything after some update last fall from the Matrix portal) it just spins ... and nothing happens . WE use to be able to print without having to save everything to a download and that changed. now I cant print anything. I need help fast.... I can't get my work done at all and I'm getting very frustrated.
I uninstalled the adobe reader and re-installed it and nothing helps. We have 2 others printers in our office and it wont let me print to them either or allow me to save it as a PDF so I can print it out that way.;
I need HELP!!! Can't work this way and not sure what happened to cause this problem as things were fine earlier today. -
AE CC 2014.1 - layer selection and bounding box issue.
Upgraded to AE CC 2014.1 yesterday and now the Bounding Box around layers does not appear when hovering the mouse down the layers in the timeline.
When dealing with many overlapping layers, a quick way of finding elements was to hover the mouse down the layers in the timeline which then showed a bounding box around that layer in the composition window.
Am I missing something? Has this been omitted... or is there a preference I can't see... or is this a bug?Hi Tom,

We are looking at all of the feedback being provided. We want to you to voice your opinion. Please be specific as to what problems you are having with the new user interface design.
I also want to note here that the blue color alone is not what is generating feedback. "Blue" is being used as a collective term for the changes, but I fear that such generalization is creating a false impression that simply changing the color will resolve the complaints. There have been many, many small changes of which the highlight color is only one. We need to hear specifically from you which of the changes you dislike, whether it's the blue color specifically, or the brightness/contrast of the blue, or the brightness or design of other parts of the user interface, and in which contexts it causes a problem.
So please let us know what you think, here on the forums in a new thread or one of the existing threads, or send us your feedback privately: adobe.ly/feature_request

I have a png that I've placed on a solid color background and it looks fine on the screen. When I print it, I see the faded ghost of it's bounding box. Basically, it losing at least part of the transparency in the file, but only when it goes to print. This happens whether I print it from illustrator, Indesign, or a pdf. If I open and print it from Photoshop it's fine. Is there some sort of setting that needs to be changed?

Hiding newsstand won't work in 5.1
I used the trick to hide the newsstand before, but I just upgraded to the 4S and tried hiding it again using 5.1, no luck. I tried and tried and could not get it, has anyone been able to manage it?
