BPM- for 2 scenarios

hi,
I have to convert a edi850 purchase order document into a R/3 system using XI. I have used java mapping and converted the edi file into an XML structure.
now,can i use bpm to integrate or take this xml structure to another scenario and convert into an IDOC so that i can post it into an R/3 system

Usually Application Level Acknowledgement is considered during Sync communication. If you are using RFC, you can make use of Sync communication. So you can handle it without bpm, provided your both sender and receiver are sync interfaces.

you can not dirrectly access the content of the ACK, however the BPM shows different behaviours based on the ACK status. E.g. if the ACK contains a success message the BPM will continue in its normal process, if the ACK contains a permanent error, it will either stop or go through an exception branch (provided such a branch has been defined). The trickiest part is always to find out, when you will get a transient vs. as permanent error ack. BPM Collect Scenario errors at transform stage

The BPM Collect scenario is using a Fork within a Block.
Branch 1 - Loop Receive Append Container Endloop
Branch 2 - Receive step of triggerIdoc
End of Block
Transform step - multiline container of XML documents to one XML document
Send step
BPM Errors at Transform step with JCo mapping not available.
Whilst BPM in Error (Workflow in Error) more messages being received but never processed as the RECEIVE event is "lost" for these messages.
We are looking at redesigning the BPM to reduce the likelihood of this transform error.
In the meantime was looking at ways to Alert the administrator straight away to the error. As we have a workaround to get the process going and to pick up the stranded messages. So have started setting up the ALERT categories as described in How to Guide, for Adapter and Interface. Will this work?
Also in the Transform step there is a box (system exception) but I can't enter anything in. Is there a way to do this if the Alert category doesn't report an error in the BPM. OR do I have to add the Transform step into a Block of its own?
Advice gratefully received if we come up with a working solution will post it out here. Have spent a large amount of time reading posts and blogs on here but have not got a clear picture yet of what is best to do.

This should give you an issue called Parked Messages. The best way to deal with this is to actually define a Local Correlation. In the Block Step properties, you will have an option, Use Correlation --> Give the name of the Correlation . This will make sure that when there is an error, the Correlation become inactiva and a new BPM instance is created.

Not sure if this will work. The issue is that the messages are passed to the IE already and will be in wait step waiting for an active BPM 's receive step How will another interface pick up this message?

This is what is called exception handler. Defined a Exception handler for the Block. Right Click block, insert Exception Branch, give name of the Hanler and then you can select this in the Transformation Step's System Error. This is like Try - Catch of Java.

BPM start scenario

Hi there,
I have a BPM for a Leave request process which is working fine.
For triggering the BPM I would like to have the following scenario:
1. User has a link "Leave request" on our Intranet page (no SAP portal) to trigger the BPM
2. The user is directly forwarded to the first WebDynpro "Fill leave request" of the BPM (without navigating through UWL).
How can I achieve that?
I've successfully started the BPM from WebDynpro, but that doesn't really help.

Hi John, so you mean, I should take out the first Web Dynpro of the BPM (Fill leave request) and trigger the remaining BPM when pushing the submit button?
Sounds ok, but on the other hand I take out an important step of my BPM.
I think it would be better that a BPM always reflects the whole process with all activities included.

STEPS in BPM for synchornous.

Hi,
I have to persist one field using BPM for synchonous.
Assume it as Empid. I am getting it from JMS and am sending to SOAP which is a synchornous interface.
While sending to SOAP, i am stripping it out and sending, along with the response received from SOAP, i need to re-assign the empid and send it to JMS.
As i know this can be achieved thru BPM, what are the steps i need to do, as i have not worked in BPM, it would be good to guide on this scenario.
Please give me the steps like how many send, receive, container, how to attach the data back while sending to JMS etc.,

How to use objects from other SWCs in my BPM Integration Scenario

Dear all,
I am experiencing some difficulties with the following. I have created a BPM Integration Scenario in a SWC. It contains a tranformation step in which a message from that SWC is split and mapped to two IDOCs. These IDOCs are imported in anothern SWC which I use for common objects. I have created Abstract Message Interfaces based on these IDOCs in this "COMMON" SWC, but the probIem is that I cannot use them in my scenario in the other SWC. Even though I have a usage dependency (Installation Time) created to the "COMMON" SWC.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

I have tried to create the Abstract Message Interface in the SWC and reference it to the IDOC structure in the "COMMON" SWC. This results in a reference to an invalid object during activation. Even though the defined usage dependency.
What's the standard solution?

There was a document written by SAP describing exactly this process - XI (BPM) + approve in R/3. Try to find it on SDN... If you're not succesful and want REALLY to have it I have it on my pers NB somewhere, so in this case provide pls yr email adress.

BPM for Weblogic configuration is failed

1, I install BPM for Weblogic.
2, I create a domain for weblogic using config tool and start it.
3, I create a new directory.
However, the configuration is failed.

Configuration is failed - BPM for Weblogic 10.3.1

1, I install BPM for Weblogic.
2, I create a domain for weblogic using config tool and start it.
3, I create a new directory.

I noticed this afternoon that Oracle's refering to Oracle WebLogic 10.3.1 as "Oracle WebLogic 11g".
Know this comes as no surprise to you, but when I tried to install Oracle BPM 10gR3 Enterprise on WebLogic 11g (WebLogic 10.3.1) this afternoon it failed. A friend pointed out to me that Oracle WebLogic 11g does not support the DataDirect JDBC driver. Since Oracle BPM Enterprise 10gR3 uses this driver to connect to both its Engine database and Directory Service databases, he's thinking this might be the cause of our problem.
It would be worth verifying this with Support. Here's what I think they'll point you to. The Oracle BPM 10gR3 release notes(http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/relnotes/release_notes_OracleBPM10gR3.htm#N65589) indicate that the only WebLogic application servers supported are Oracle WebLogic 10.3 (10gR3), Oracle WebLogic 10.0 MP1.
Again, talk to Support, but I don't think there's a workaround. The only thing I think you can do is to uninstall WebLogic 10.3.1 and then install WebLogic 10.3 if you want to install Oracle BPM 10gR3 Enterprise on it.

BPM Collect Scenarios

Hi All,
We have a scneraio to collect IDOCs in BPM for a time frame of 5 minutes.The collection is based on correlation condition for same customer and its in infinite loop and a deadline branch is givenwith timout of 5 minutes.
We have obseved that for the IDOCs that were triggered never came out of the IP for one of the customer.They are stuck in PI
and in message being sent state for 12-13 hours even if timeout is given for 5 minutes
We have processed the same IDOCs in other environment and they got processed.
Could you please tell me what can be the issue ?

Has anybody used Oracle BPM for network management projects with millions of events?
Can Oracle BPM handle it?

Please follow this step may this solve your problem.
please modify any thing in process "ExpenseReporting" for example any transition or any activity to place some where else or any other modification and then save that process. Then clean the project and build and deploy it.
if this also not solve the problem then export that project to and import it again in your workspace (Create new workspace or change the project name in same workspace ) and then again clean, build and deploy the application then test in work space.

The BPM field can be viewed, but it is almost always empty unless you have taken steps to populate it.
You can use a 3rd party tool to perform BPM detection and add it to your iTunes database:

HTTP-RFC(BPM)-FILE Scenario

I have a problem on using the 'http-RFC(BPM)-File scenario'. When i enter values using the Client http adapter, it displays message telling that "BPE_ADDAPTER.SYNCHONOUS_MESSAGE"
The error msg is displayed below:

Hi Vinod,
your process is asynchronous (no sync async bridge). But you send "Quality of Service = Best Effort" (Url paramater qos=BE). You should send "Exactly Once" (EO).

Org Structure - "No attribute found for scenario BBP"

SRM 7.0 Extended Classic Scenario
Hi, On the check tab for the Central Person (SRM 7.0 shows CP instead of BP in org structure) I have the message "No attribute found for scenario BBP". This is SAP message number 5AT103
Transaction BBP_BP_OM_INTEGRATE is not showing or clearing the issue.
I have this issue with one user that I created manually, I dragged him around a lot. Other users I created manually within the same organizational unit are fine.
Also, we replicated part of the R3 4.7 HR Org Structure into SRM and I dragged it into my manually created SRM org structure. All users (error on CP tab, as I mentioned) replicated over, have this error.
I took a manually created user that was OK and dragged him into the replicated part of the org structure and he is still OK.
Please help.

Missing IMG node for Scenario definition

We are currently configuring FIORI PR approval and the IMG node for Scenario Definition under Task Gateway Service is missing. Components installed as well as the IMG screenshot is below. Any thoughts on what would be missing is appreciated.
