BPM within SOLMAN: Contacts maintenance

Hello!
I am about to set up BPM within SAP Solution Manager (SPS 25).
By doing so I get the problem to add a contacts.
When I go to DSWP --> Solution Landscape Maintenance --> Contacts --> Contacts Maintenance
no contacts can be added or choosed.
Also from tcode solman_directory no Contacts can be added or choosed.
Can some one help to solve this problem?
I need BPM only for the monitoring of aborted jobs.

How do you I change the default e-mail address within a contact in Address Book

My v-card (My Card) information has 3 e-mail addresses. My work e-mail address is the default used whenever I use autofill on a web page. I am trying to change the default e-mail within my contact to my home e-mail address but there is no information that I can find to do this.

Understand. I am in the edit mode for my contact. I see all the contact info. There is no right click or other means to change the DEFAULT address that autofill uses (it also is first to appear if I type my name in an e-mail). For instance for a group e-mail you can change the default addresses of each contact by control-clicking on the group in Address Book. I can't seem to make the default change in my v-card.

Thanks for the reply. I understand my wording was misleading.
What we are doing is taking a single page base PDF file, containing 10 elements for example, and using our own software (with help from iText) adding other page elements on the same page. Most of the time these elements are just text, or the odd image, but sometimes, we may be placing a PDF Logo on the same page. The resulting PDF seems to be a single page, containing 10+ elements of equal hierarchy, with no reference to the source PDF file that was used for the logo. Also looking at the Layers panel, There is no information here.
Are you saying then that there may be references to some of the elements based on the source PDF file?

How do I reorder data within a Contacts card?

I want to reorder the data within individual Contacts cards, e.g., repositioning address A above address B. It ought to be as simple as highlighting a given line and pressing the keyboard's Up or Down arrows, but that doesn't work, and I can't find anything in Apple's documentation or support pages offering an alternative that does work. Nothing on the Web either, except for a third-party app being touted by a company I don't know. I'm running the latest Mavericks on an iMac.

The justify data select the column by clicking the column header (the letter at the top of the column) then open the formatter (top right):

I have done that to no avail. Any ideas?

I had the same issue with the iPhone 6 and tried everything! I now understand that at some point I stored a number for a contact without including the area code and sent a text message. So, to correct the issue, you must literally "erase" all references to the contact, not just the number. Deleting the contact and entering a new one is not enough because the iPhone stores references to that number in multiple places. The steps below worked and are very simple:
1) On the contact screen, delete everything stored for that number. You can't just edit the contact to fix the problem, so write down or record the info somewhere before you complete this step. Choose edit and then select DELETE to eliminate the entire contact which means home, work, cell, email address, etc.
2) Delete the entire string of messages you sent to that number. That's every single message...
3) Now delete the entire string of invalid 2114 messages you received after your text(s) failed.
4) Finaly, remove the contact from FAVORITES if you saved it that way.
5) To validate that all this worked, simply go to the keypad or contact screen and enter the number associated with the contact to verify successful removal. I used the keypad and dialed to confirm. If the contact number still shows up, you need to go back and recheck your steps. Trust me, I had to do this a few times.
Several posts suggested that you should reset and turn off your phone. After following these steps, it was not necessary for me to reset or turn off my device.
is there a much faster way to achieve the same results? Probably, but this was safe for an iPhone novice and may help you avoid inadvertently deleting other contacts or replacing factory settings that you need.

Have you tried "Update DHTML effects in topics"? That might solve some of your problems. Otherwise a simple script that opens every topic, adds a space in the head section and saves the file may help you out.

BPM in SolMan

Hello,
We currently have completed implementation using SolMan and gone-live. From the operational side of things we have set up EWA and Maintenance Optimizer in our SolMan. We are planning to implement Business Process Monitoring (BPM) functionality. Please provide inputs as to,
- Can we use the business processes modelled during our implementation phase. Or have the business processes specifially be re-created for BPM functionality
- Since we have not configured Service desk feauture - can we still implement BPM
-How does BPM relate to the central monitoring functionality in SolMan

Hello Mani,
yes you can re-use your processes from the implementation part but you have to perform one intermediate step.
Within the Solution Directory you have to copy the process from the project to the Operations solution. Only then you can select this business process in the Business Process Monitoring.

I'm trying to setup my Solman Maintenance Optimizer to download SP.
When I read the configuration guide. It says the prerequisite is as below :-
The Maintenance Optimizer contains a lot of scenarios for maintenence procedures. The scenarios have different prerequisites.
Basic Prerequisites
   1.
      You have configured the Maintenance Optimizer in the SAP Solution Manager customizing.
      You must perform the following customizing activities for the Maintenance Optimizer:
            Assign S users for the SAP Support Portal.
            This activity specifies the S users (user ID for the SAP Service Marketplace) assigned to user IDs for the SAP Solution Manager.
            For more information see S Users in the Maintenance Optimizer.
            Enter user for communication with SAP Service and Support systems
2. This activity specifies the RFC connection SAP-OSS and the corresponding RFC user.
3.     You have assigned product versions to the system to be maintained, in the system landscape.
      You have assigned the systems to be maintained to a logical component.

I would like to run tcode "Solman_setup" to activate my Maintenance Optimizer for my new install SOLMAN & ECC6 System.
The reason is I need to download service pack for my ECC6 system.
Now I have some confusion on the "Solman_Setup" prerequisites
Prerequisites
You have installed the SAP Solution Manager and satisfied the following configuration prerequisites:
1)   The license key is installed. -

2)   The profile parameter /ICM_HOST_NAME_FULL or SAPLOCALHOSTFULL is set----

3)   The Transport Management System (TMS) is configured. -

5)   The SAP Solution Manager Java instance is up-to-date. --> not too sure. Can someone explain how this can be checked?

5310 Managing groups within the contact list

I have created several groups. I would like to have a one button option to see a list of the groups without the contacts included. I would like it to be similar a folder tree structure. One would not want to see the folders and files within a folders at the same time. As of now I see the groups mixed in with the contacts.
Is there a one button way to only see a list of your groups with the contacts pruned out on the 5310?

Hi All
I am trying to configure Business process monitoring but i am unable to get "Power user" in input help.
niether "Contacts" tab page on the top branch of "Solution Directory" .
Please suggest
and also I m unable to add Transaction or reports for BPM .
I m running on solution manager 7.0 SP13

From your brief description it is unclear to me what your actual problem is. Under "Contacts" in the Solution Directory you maintain contact persons. These contact persons can then be retrieved in the Business Process Monitoring Setup session and I assign them to Teams.
Did you already check out the Setup Guides under https://service.sap.com/bpm --> Media Library --> Technical Information.

Can multiple ringtones be set within one contact entry?

I'm in the process of updating contacts on my iPhone 4, and am assigning specific ringtones to a few people. I noticed, however, that you can only list one ringtone per contact entry--even though many of my entries have multiple people with different phone numbers (ie: a husband, wife, and kid). I even had to separate my mom and dad in my address book in order to give them each their own ringtone; but I can't list their home phone number in both contact entries, or it just plays the default tone. Is there a way to get around this without having to separate all the "couples?"

I am going to answer my own question here, I have just found out that by going into the gallery and picking a mp3 that I could "use the tone" as a contact ringtone! - Happy Days!

Last Name within the Contact Parent actually reads "Task Name" when editing it

I created a new contact type named New Hire for a workflow I am working on. The contact type was from existing group Core Contact and Calendar Columns. I noticed "Last Name" source is "Item" when all the other contact
fields are "Contact". Then when I open it to change it from Optional to Required, the field actually shows "Task Name" for the Column Name. This is not right. Please let me know how to fix...

- Created a new Contact Type named New Hire
- Last Name is Item and not part of the type “Contact” like the others
- And when I open up Last Name and Edit it, I see “Task Name"

Content types are organized into a hierarchy that allows one content type to inherit its characteristics from another content type. All SharePoint OOTB content type inherits System content type. For detail, you can see that Item content type inherits
System content type, Folder content type inherits Item content type, Document content type inherits Item content type and so on.

As Contact content type inherits Item content type, Contact content type inherit the Title column of Item content type. So Last Name is tied to Title.
For your issue, Last Name should be the Title. Also you can create a separate Title field.

Contacts maintenance/changes

I have a Blackberry 8330 and same is set up and operates based on the corporate enterprise server. My connection to the server is accomplished via Office Outlook Web Access. I operate remotely and am never in the corporate office.
My older Blackberry allowed me to update my phone's contacts database by the Blackberry Desktop software on my home PC. The 8330 will not allow updating from my PC or from the Verizon store PC. It will only allow manipulation via updates to the corporate contacts database.
I use a business card reader and update things as necessary from my home PC. If I go through corporate have to update my database via a internet connection and I have to do so manually. I am being told that this is the only way the system will work but I have some doubts. I need local control. I need to update my contacts from my local PC.
Can anyone offer a solution to my dilemma?
