Bridge Browser icon missing - even though connected on BES

The Bridge Browser icon has disappeared off my Playbook.
Before you tell me it's OS2 it's not - the Playbook is connected to a BES smartphone, and I've had OS2 since I first got the Playbook and it's only now that the icon has gone.
I've tried a reset, I've tried re-pairing the tablet and the phone. All the other Bridge icons are there and the tablet is fuctioning normally other than this.
Any help is much appreciated.

I have suddenly realised that the Bridge Browser icon has been missing from my PlayBook after the Upgrade to OS2. My service provider data plan supports browsing and I use to do that earlier on OS1. Now a days, since I am mainly using Mifi device...did not use Bridge Browser....BUT suddenly realised that this icon is missing.....
Any idea what I need to do to get that icon back on PlayBook? and also use it....

It's really funny...The OS2 manual says that there will be an icon for Bridge Browser....but in reality...you do not require any separate bridge browser icon...Browser main icon works for both...wifi connection as well as bridge connection....
I am surprised, why RIM has not highlighted this fact in its OS2 manual.....

You should be able to hit the "Agree" button, if you are on an iPhone right now. On a Mac, you should just left click the button where it said "Accept". I hope this helped.
To quit the app store, simply hit these keys:
Than, you should come up with this window:
Select the app store with:
a) The up and down arrow keys
b) Your cursor
Than hit the 'Enter' button twice. This should close the app store. The force quit window is also accesible through the apple logo in the top left corner of the screen. It should say:

I did that too, then I did a migration assistant to a new Mac and ALL of my movies have Source Clip Missing now, even though the original clips are still in the iPhoto Videos. I can stand to re edit one or two projects, but not ALL.

Reader doesn’t create pdf files. You can use Acrobat (ask in that forum) to create pdfs. You can subscribe to the Adobe PDF Pack which has a create pdf functionality (please ask in that forum), or you can use a third party utility such as ghostscript, cutepdf, or Microsoft’s own PDF creation capability. For third party pdf creation you will need to ask in a forum dedicated to that software as fellow users of Reader are unlikely to have the knowledge to help.

My Firefox won't let me browse the Internet, even though I'm connected to the Internet.

Excuse me, but my Firefox 3.6 just randomly stopped working. It won't let me browse the Internet anymore-- the error message it always gives me is "Unable to connect", even though I'm fully connected to the Internet. Earlier I opened up Safari and Internet Explorer 9-- both, in which, let me browse the Internet, and I had a full connection. But, whenever I use Firefox now, it says "Unable to connect". And every time I type in a URL on it, Firefox gives me the ''SAME'' error message. I don't know what to do now. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and it does the same thing. So now I am stuck with using Safari, when I really wanna use my Firefox. Why is it doing this?

Make sure you are not set to Work Offline in File menu.
There is a possibility that your connection dropped even briefly, more so if using wireless. Make sure Firefox is not set to "[v] Work Offline" in File menu just above Exit.
By default, Firefox 3.5 and 3.6 will automatically use offline mode if there is no network connection. Under certain conditions, after the connection is reestablished it may remain in offline mode without the user's knowledge. Firefox 4 and newer prevents this behavior by default. Outlook Taskbar icon dissapears, even though outlook is still running.

One of my users has come across a strange phenomenon in the behavior of outlook 2010.
The users perspective:
My outlook program has dissapeared, even though I still have emails open... ARGHHHHHH AHHHHHHHH
Infrastructure Engineer perspective:
Don't believe user, convinced user is "accidentally" closing outlook, or ignoring a message popup, or clicking the wrong button on message popup. So I watched the user remotely for 30 minutes, until
sure enough, Outlook programs just dissapeared from task bar, but open emails were still stacked on the windows 7 Taskbar icon.
Digging through Event viewer highlighted nothing at the time or 30 minutes I had been watching.
Now the interesting part.
Obviously Outlook.exe is still a running process, and right clicking the task bar icon still gives you Outlook options for new emails etc, and can click MS Outlook 2010 to open the main Outlook interface again, which opens rapidly as if it were invisibly
minimized. I also noticed that when it had dissapeared the right click menu "Micorosoft Outlook 2010" button was affixed with " (2)".
So, its looks as though MS has not dissapeared but the pinned task bar icon is looking for an instance of outlook affixed with (2) at the end.
Closing outlook and unpinning outlook from task bar, open outlook from scratch gets rid of (2). Which can then be pinned again, soon after outlook dissapears and the (2) is back again.
The user is built using the same windows image and MS 2010 deployments and updates schedule as 5000 other people, no one else has reported this issue. Any Ideas anyone?
p.s. I have no idea why the text in this post has changed size, something to do with the delete key being used at the end of a paragraph, in order to make a new line instead.

Outlook has a notification area icon as well as a taskbar icon. If you right-click the notification area Outlook icons one of the options is 'Hide when minimized'. If that is checked then it will behave as you are describing.

To stop Firefox from checking whether it is the default browser, use the Options dialog as described in this article: [[Advanced settings for accessibility, browsing, system defaults, network, updates, and encryption]] (first screen shot).
To have your preferred browser make itself the default again, it may well prompt you, or you can check its Options dialog.

JDBC messages processed even though connection was down

Hi,
We have an XI to JDBC flow.
A couple of days ago the database to which the JDBC connection goes was down, but all messages that the system tried to send to this database appear as processed in SXMB_MONI. Only the acknowledgement contains following error:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error when attempting to get processing resources: com.sap.aii.af.service.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection to URL 'jdbc:as400://192.168.197.10:446/WMSLIB': SQLException: The application requester cannot establish the connection. (connect timed out)
This is very annoying since we can't reprocess the messages with status "processed", even though they are not processed at all.
Any ideas?

Above error message comes when your JDBC channel trying to connect to Data base,but connection not established ,because Connection was down.
in this case none of the messages will be processed.

No internet access even though connected!?

I have a new iMac 17" Intel (new to Mac's as well) but I can't connect to the internet.
My adsl provider is Tiscali and they use dynamic IP address which I believe makes things trickier. I've got a D-link DSL-300t router to connect via Ethernet.
After much head banging I think I have the router configured correctly. I plug in a web page and it goes part way there( eg. in google the search line comes us occasionally but the rest of the page doesn't load.)
The ADSL light on the router blinks nearly all the time although occasionally it stays solid.
Is this a line problem or is there an issue with the router or the Mac.
Any ideas would be greatfully recieved

the dynamic or 'server assigned' ip is not a problem
some people have found that the dns server addresses ( you entered these in the router setup?) must also be entered in system preferences-network-ethernet-tcp/ip- DNS servers ( even though it says optional)
is there a 'test connection' facility in your router setup? - if so, use this & report any errors that this shows.

Blackberry Browser Icon Missing, NOTHING helped...

Hey guys, I got my blackberry Pearl 8100 for quite some time now, but for some weeks now I got some Problem I wanna fix right now.
Since I never wanted to use my blackberry browser I didnt even realise its icon was gone, but now I do and I want it back...
I've tried different solutions offered in other threads (resend service book, reregister HRT Host Routing Table and even pull out the power cell while it was turned on and leave it out for at least 30 seconds)
Nothing helped, the Icon is not showing up, not at the Theme Im using where it should be at the home screen and not even in the menu.
I can only start the browser while doing this in the main menu: switch application and then chose the browser.
Ive found something which could at least help to help me, when Im at Options under the Blackberry Browser, then go to advanced options and then under default browser I cannot chose anything at all. Just Empty...
Since the Browser is installed there must be some kind of solution to bring the Icon back, but I dont know how...
On the Home Screen at my Today & Zen Theme there is just an empty place now where the BB Browser Icon should be...

So the icon isn't hidden?
Does it show the IPPP service book is listed?
Does the Browser show as being installed under Options | Advanced Options | Applications?

Internet stops working even though connected?

So I've been having this problem for about a week or so now...my internet will be fine and connected and then suddenly it stops working even though it still says it's connected to the network. Then I just turn my airport off and then back on and it works again. It only happens on my computer, all the other computers/laptops in the house are working fine...any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it???

what kind of router? i am having same issue sometimes. i have linksys wrt54gs and im connected to router, but no internet, but everyone else in the house is on windows and gets internet connection.

Annoying problem that has just happened since upgrade to i-tunes 7.x.
Intermittently my shuffle looses its affinity to my i-tunes library, i-tunes is now asking me to erase and sync even though my shuffle has not been sleeping around with other USB ports.
this is now the 2nd time this has happened and I am not looking forward to setting up all my songs again.
Been in IT for years but this is my first time with trying to enjoy some IT.
