Bridge doesn't load files to layers in Photoshop

I recently uninstalled Photoshop CC 2014 and loaded Bridge CC 14.0 because of a known bug that ca
uses focus stacking to not work in Photoshop CC 2014. Now Bridge doesn't recognize Photoshop. Adobe help told me to update my Photoshop, but that would bring me to v. 14.2.1 which has the focus stacking bug. Any ideas?

Yep if I zoom in like 1000% I can clearly see which layer is too big.  It's like when I'm using the marquee tool to select the area, snapping to the grid of guides, some times it's selecting 1 row or column of pixels too many.  I can then fix it but I basically have to redo it those sections (bring back in the original bg elements etc).
The margin of error has to be what it is.  The buttons are not just floating in space, they are on a background that I want to be a part of the popup menu.  So the background becomes part of the button on the popup.  If it's not perfect it is noticable.
On some occassions the highlight is the culprit, it's too big or needs to be moved a tad to fit within the rectangle.
If there was a slice to layer option it seems it would solve everything.
thanks

  • No option to Load Files into Layers into Photoshop

In CS6 I don't have a menu option to load files into layers. Did they get rid if it?

No, it still works and is also present in CC. I assume you have used menu Tools / Photoshop / Load in to layers for this?
Is Photoshop present under menu Tools? if not check Bridge preferences Start Up scripts and see if a check mark is set in front of Photoshop
Or reset Bridge preferences by holding down option key (Mac) or control key (Win) while restarting Bridge and choose reset prefs.

  • Adobe Bridge CC 'Tools Load Files Into Photoshop Layers' missing from menu.

    Hi,
After updated to bridge CC the 'Tools > Load Files Into Photoshop Layers' has simply disappeared from the menu! Is there a plug in that I'm missing or is this something similar to how the Output module works, where you have to install the files manually?
    Thank You

I uninstalled all Adobe products -> reboot -> reinstall; which didn't work.
So I had to uninstall all Adobe products again, then use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner, reboot & reinstall everything again; then it finally worked.
This seems to be a regular thing since the introduction of Adobe CC, almost every new update or new versions breaks functionality & requires a complete uninstall -> reinstall process.

  • PS Bridge: how to load files to PS in a specific layer sequence?

Hello. Have massive graphic files and trying to call up various arrangements of them quickly.
I just discovered History Snapshot, which is awesome, but wondering if it is possible in Bridge
to control the layer sequence order when loading files to Photoshop.

  • Bridge Doesn't Find Files

"Before," say a few months ago, I used the Bridge to search all my files. It worked wonderful. Now, and I don't know why, but the bridge is not finding what Explorer can find. Is it corrupted? How do I fix it? I orginally downloaded my copy of Photoshop CS5 Extended about five or six years ago. Does it need a reinstall if it's acting up? I'm super sad because I work with huge amounts of data 60,000 images, and it was a good way to drill down certain files. Now I'm using Picassa to find what I need, but really want the Bridge to work. I've searched the Internet, but nowadays, it's getting harder to find anything relevant to a problem. Thanks for your help.

Files have to be indexed to be searched.  If you have your cache threashold set too low as newer thummbnails  are indexed the older ones are erased.

  • In adobe bridge in Tools menu below the cache submenu it only says "process collections in Photoshop". It does not give me the option to "load images in layers is Photoshop"

No tengo la opción de cargar imagenes en capas en photoshop desde adobe bridge en el menu herramientas

If all the items do not appear, consider resetting Bridge Preferences.
Close Bridge, hold down Command-Option-Shift (PC: Control-Alt-Shift) and then launch Bridge again. A dialog will appear asking what you want to do. Turn on the Reset Preferences checkbox and click OK. Now when Bridge appears, the preferences are factory-fresh.

  • Bridge doesn't display and generate RAW previews right

    Hi everybody,
    1. problem:
Bridge doesn't load the prewiews of RAWs, just if I click on the picture. Before, it loaded the miniature pictures within a few seconds. We didn't change any settings.
    2. problem:
Bridge doesn't display DNG formates right (see picture). CR2 (Canon) is shown right.
    Informations:
    - Win 7 Professional 64bit, Photoshop/Bridge CS6
    - Photoshop/Bridge doesn't need updates
    Help badly needed...!

Since FLV are similar to other video files I suggest you read thread #7 of the following post and see if any of the suggestions help.  Perhaps the G spot program would tell you what codec you need and if it is installed on Bridge.  Beyond that I know nothing.

  • CS6 bridge crashes trying open files

bridge opens up fine, I can browse around & preview images without any trouble…
Whenever I double-click or right-click on an image whether it be a raster image or a vector image, bridge crashes and the file never opens in Photoshop or Illustrator…
    Any Thoughts?

Fast forward a bit to September 2012 and I'm experiencing the same problem of Adobe Bridge CS6 crashing like a mofo. I'd love it if anyone could brighten my life with some sollutions.
I'm using: Bridge CS6. Fully updated. Running on Windows7 32bit which is fully updated. Updated graphics card. In short, EVERYTHING on my pc is updated and runs great except bridge. Gaming PC with 4gb RAM and a sweet graphics card.
Bridge loads fine and looks okay UNTIL i open a file. The second i click Open, bridge crashes.
Bridge also crashes if i double click a folder which has a photo in it.  Never fails to crash. The error is typical nonsense:
"Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working. Windows is checking for a sollution to the problem." followd by "A problem has caused the program to stop working corectly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a sollution is available." "Close Program."
Curt Y advised the previous member to open View Event Logs, and look for errors/warnings. Specifically in Applications an area called Faulting Module. Well I can't find anything called "fault". I opened Event Viewer, the four options are "custom views", "windows logs", "applications and services logs", and "subscriptions". Clicking the down arrow on each of them brings up sub areas, none called fault.
Under Windows Logs and Application, there are a lot of errors listed involving Bridge CS6. This is what the information and error log says:

  • Unable to open files as layers.

I just bought Lightroom 5. I have been unable to export files as layers into Photoshop CS4, no matter what.
I just wonder why. Could anybody help me with this?
    William Rodriguez
    Miami, Florida.

These options all require corresponding Lightroom/ACR versions:
The reason is that they are all Photoshop scripts called from Lightroom, but (silently) rendered by ACR into Photoshop. So you need an ACR version that reads all the Lightroom settings. ACR 5.x, which is what you have in CS4, is way behind.
The Photoshop script in question here is "Load Files into Stack". So the workaround is to export from Lightroom, and stack them in Photoshop. Just an added step.

  • How can I open a psd file with layers in touch?

I want to edit a psd file with layers in photoshop touch. Is this possible?

No. (Kind of, sort of.) You can export PS Touch projects for import into desktop Photoshop and have the layers intact for further editing but you cannot do the reverse; any imported PSD will be automatically flattened. (I'm guessing this was done to prevent crashing. PS Touch supports 12 layers max vs. the potential thousands available in desktop Photoshop.)
