Bridge opens into microsoft works

I need some help. I installed Photoshop CS5 yesterday and it was working fine, so today I deleted CS3, now when i try to open a photo from Bridge it opens into Microsoft Works instead of Photoshop, if I right click and go to 'open with' Photoshop is not an option. Can anyon help?

In Bridge go to Edit > Preferences > File Type Associations.
You can set everything up there to your taste.

Why does clipboard from FF shut down Microsoft Works?

Any idea why clipboard contents copied from a web page in Firefox, would not paste into Microsoft Works? I can paste to Notepad or Wordpad, but if I try to paste to Microsoft Works, the Microsoft program shuts down every time. I can, however, paste from IE to Microsoft Works, so it seems to be a Firefox setting somewhere, but I can't figure out where.

How Come when i click on a desktop icon it go's into microsoft word?

There are diffent icon either on my desktop or toolbar.For example on my yahoo messenger,new email icon would pop on my toolbar. I click it, then it opens into microsoft word, I have had this happen to a ebay desktop icon and it trys to load it on micosoft word too,,

Sounds like something went wrong with file association.

1. Click on the Windows logo "Start" button on the bottom left corner of your screen
2. Type in "regedit"
3. Click on "regedit" search result
4. Click on "Yes" to make changes
5. Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Software\
Microsoft\
Windows\
CurrentVersion\
Explorer\
FileExts\.
lnk
6. Delete the other keys except "OpenWithProgids"
7. Log off and log back on
Before making any modifications to your registry I would ensure you do a backup of the registry first in case something goes wrong you can restore it back to it's original state.

I can't open my microsoft word what can I do

Bridge worked great for a while then started to fail when starting. Old Bridge CS6 still works fine. HELP ... please.

Photoshop CS6 will not open any longer. Clicks on the icon on the desktop do nothing. Yet I was working with it yesterday. Bridge opened with my files populating it. I turned off computer hoping CS6 would reset. CS6 still does not open, but now Bridge opens without any of my files. Please HELP.

My CS5 Bridge opens images into Quicktime by Default rather than PS or ACR

I recently changed from an old pc running XP Service Pack 3 to a new computer running 7 and upgraded from CS4 to CS5 with an "upgrade disc". When I double click in Bridge to open into PS or ACR the images open into Quicktime by default.
A secondary though niggling glitch is that when I run CS5 in my Administrator A/c 7 won't let me delete files/folders unless I turn off my Security Setting
Any corrective ideas would be much appreciated

In Bridge click on edit/preferences/file type associations.
Adjust the default to CS5 for the file format you want to open in PS.

CS6, how do I open files in Bridge directly into Photoshop. The default is File Viewer or there is an option to open in Adobe RAW.

Look at the down pointing arrow to the right of Photoshop CC in the list. Clicking on it shows a list of programs to select from.
Windows OS level or "in Windows" as opposed to "in Bridge".

I am trying to open Microsoft Works database and word processor files. I have saved them on my windows pc with the .db and .wp formats for Mac. Will AppleWorks for Mac open these files if they are in .db and .wp format?

Firefox can't open any Microsoft link - get "windows stopped working error"

When I try to open a Microsoft Word or xls file (not Powerpoint), I get the useless Microsoft popup: "Microsoft X has stop working. Windows is looking for a solution....". This just started the other day and I haven't made any changes to my computer. I don't know if this an Office or Firefox issue. It happens on multiple website/programs in Firefox.

Note: To re-enable Flash Protected Mode, either restore a backup of the original mms.cfg file, if you saved one, or else re-edit the mms.cfg file to remove the <code>ProtectedMode=0 l</code> line you added. Updating Flash Player or installing a newer version does not automatically re-enable Protected Mode

Opening Microsoft Works files in OS X

I have some files that I saved as .wps back when I was a sad little user of Microsoft Works (they didn't even give you Word with a new computer back then, the cheapskates)... I need to open them somehow on my MacBook.
Anybody have any ideas for opening them successfully? When I double-click, it gives me an option of converting "from" text, rtf, and several other formats. Of course, when I do it in text, it's mainly messed up and incomplete and rtf doesn't open at all.

As far as I know, there is no way to open a Works document in OS X.
That software was proprietary to Microsoft, and I believe you'll need a Windows machine to open them.

If you close all the windows and quit word, next time you restart, DO NOT check "Reopen windows on login".
Also, check your login items for your user account.
