Bringing back transform value inputs in Adobe After Effects?

Last night I opened up After Effects CS4 to rotate and scale an image. But when I click on the layer and twirl down the Transform tab, the yellow numbers that often are on the right side of the values are missing! And I don't know how to get the back.
So if this has happened to anyone before could you please tell me how to get the yellow value input numbers to come back? I looked through preferences to see if there is a way to reset all of AE's settings but I can't find anything that looks helpful.
Please help!
PS. These inputs I think are also known as the X and Y value. I can still manipulate them if I, for example, right click on "rotation" and select 'edit value' but this is slow and time consuming and disallows me the ability to manipulate values on multiple layers. I need those yellow numbers back.

It's likely that you unknowingly hit the "F4" key, and swapped the "Switches" panel, for the "Modes" panel.
Try hitting F4 again to toggle back to the switches panel.
If that doesn't work, right-click on the panel title bar area:

In SQL query anylizer this stored proc brings back some
values for variables rc and reason, but empty values on CF pages.

Something sounds fishy. I'm not sure what more you could do
at the database, since PL/SQL VARCHAR2 variables have a max length
of 32,767 (as opposed to the VARCHAR2 data type limit of 4000
bytes). Should let you return more than 900 bytes! Perhaps you may
need to look into your kernal parameters, or Oracle parameters like
sga_max_size, etc.
You say that "Long Buffer Varchar is checked and set to
max"... what value? Also, what version of ColdFusion are you using,
as I can not "check" Long Text Buffer (chr) but only supply a
value, or I can check CLOB (or BLOB), where checking CLOB will
override the Long Text Buffer (chr) value.

I installed Adobe After Effectss CS6 because I was told by HP Support that it would still work; it doesnt. It is very slow, and locks up bad. What upgrades do I need to do, or am I looking at having to go buy another labtop? Also, can I do these upgrades myself - at what cost?

Your problem is that the program wants a good video card and a fast hard drive and lots of memory and you have none of the above. If you upgraded the RAM to 8 gigs and installed a solid state hard drive you might make the program useable but the real bottleneck is going to be the Intel HD graphics, which cannot be upgraded.
You do have an open slot to add one 4 gig memory module. This is an easy relatively inexpensive upgrade. See here:

I would try this a step at a time. Next would be the solid state drive. That would cost maybe $150. Post back if you need more help.

Adobe After Effects CS3 does not work on my new iMac

Hello everyone,
I recently bought myself a new iMac and Adobe After Effects CS3, and guess what, the stuff does not work. I've tried almost everything, been on a lot of forums but can't seem to find any solution. One thing that keeps coming back is that it has to do with the Geforce 8800 GT in my iMac, some kind of compatibility problem between both.
The problem is this, whenever I start AE CS3, a window pops up, stating "Out of Memory ( 23 :: 40 )".
And then something about licensing, but I guess I can skip that window, since that clearly has nothing to do with the problem.
Are there some beta drivers or something for my videocard that I can download somewhere to maybe get rid of this problem?

Hello fellow Adobe users, moderators, or administrators! Recently I have tried to get "Adobe After Effects CS6" for a YouTube project. I wanted to make an intro. When I downloaded the "Creative Cloud" I scrolled down the list to find that "Adobe After Effects CS6" was not there. I googled the problem and saw a article made by Adobe. I looked through the article to see if my system was not compatible or not. Which it was or so I think. It did not mention anything about a Windows 8 computer. I was wondering if it was because my computer is 32-bit. Or is it that i have a really old computer and my hardware just can`t hold the pressure. I think this because I have Intel Pentium 4. I really don`t know. I`d appreciate it if you can get back to me on this and possibly tell me why. If you need a list of my computer specs just reply to this discussion post. Problem with Adobe After Effects CS6 on Windows 8.1 PRO

Hi Adobe Systems guys, I would like to know when the error will have the solution presented Adobe After Effects CS6 (Latinoamerican Spanish Version) running Windows 8.1 PRO, and throwing the following error.
I've tried the latest available update 11.0.3 but does not correct the problem. I wonder when will be ready the solution because with Illustrator CS6 also was the same but with the solution described in this page, http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/illustrator-does-not-start-windows-81.html was solved perfectly.
I appreciate prompt as we need urgent help to use the software in its Spanish version as was originally purchased. thanks

That such a friend, for I tell you that none of their solutions is an option for me because:
• Wait a couple of months with no after effects in the hope That a patch will come ... someday
R:/ The problem is not mine, is problem of Abode and therefore investing heavily in the creative suite CS6 and for that to be an option.
It's not fair to have to beg for a solution.
• Upgrade to CC and enjoy all the latest features
R:/ It is not possible , because we will not spend more money than they already invested in Suite CS6
• Use After Effects CS6 in English
R:/ It is not possible as the staff in charge of managing this program if it is not handled in English and therefore bought the suite in Spanish .
• Roll your computer back to Windows 8 instead of 8.1
R:/ It is not possible as it is known all Windows 8.0 failures we have put in 8.1 PRO .
I do not understand is that if Adobe Illustrator had the same problem and it was fixed within a couple of days getting the patch , why not do the same with After Effects CS6 in Spanish . All users of this suite CS6 and buyers deserve respect and prompt solution to the problems that are the fault of Adobe.

Is there an easier way to work with adobe after effects and final cut pro x

I use adobe after effects and I am thinking about deleting motion and compressor ( I can always install again). If you have a good reason to keep those apps let me know because I don't want to be hasty. If I delete them and stick with after effects and final cut pro... Is there a secret to easy working between FCPX and adobe after effects?

You'll go from FCP X to and from Motion a lot easier than AE. Motion does pretty much anything AE does, most of the time faster and easier. Without Motion, you can't do custom templates. You can't customize the encoding of files without Compressor. Why would you want to remove them from your system? Leave them, use AE if you want along side of them. But I'd learn Motion first. Cause AE doesn't read FCPXML, so going back and forth between them is a PITA.
And until Apple releases the round trip between FCP X and Motion fully, we have this gem:

Setting AEP Documents to Open by Default with Adobe After Effects CC NOT Adobe After Effect CC 2014 on a Mac

I have installed some of the CC 2014 products for testing. Until the rest my department moves from CC to CC 2014 I need to open and create new projects in CC as the CC 2014 AEP's won't open in other versions.
The issue is when I try to change the file association, in the Get Info inspector, from "Adobe After Effects CC.app" to "Adobe After Effects CC 2014.app" and hit "Change All" it always reverts back to CC 2014. I have tried this as an administrator and even when logged in as administrator. It is like Creative Cloud overrides it. You can do one at a time but you cannot set the default.
I would like to "roll back" my file associations for AE and PS to CC but I don't want to uninstall the 2014 versions if possible as I have already install many plug-ins, license keys, scripts, etc. and everything is working fine within the apps. Is it possible?

Adobe After Effects CS4 will not load to Snow Leopard

Recently My hard drive crashed. I reloaded Snow Leopard on my computer and all of my support applications.
I attempted to load Adobe After Effects CS4, but it would not load.
I read where others had problems back in 2009.
Is there a fix for this problem?

Mmh, something is leaking. Are there any other Adobe products on the system that use MPEG CoDecs (Premiere, Encore, Adobe Media Encoder). If so, my best guess would be that those are not installed correctly or were messed up during an update or so. That stuff is shared by all apps and while your system is not ideal, it certainly should work and not give this error. Depending on what is going on, only a full re-install of everything might fix it, though, unfortunate as it may be. So make friends with the CS3 and CS4 Clean Scripts from the support pages, set aside a good afternoon and take some deep breaths...

Plug ins for adobe after effects failed to upload, please re-install.

Yesterday 1/21/15 when I started up adobe after effects I got an error message that said plug ins failed to upload, please re-install plug ins. I am on a PC windows 8. I am a subscriber to after effects and have been for more than a year. This is the first error I have encountered. Can anyone tell me where to find the plug ins and how to install them?

Invalid Serial Number - Adobe After Effects CS6

Hey Adobe. So, after i finally went through alot of trouble to get Adobe After Effects true the link an MVP gave me, I'm on the final step and I'm having trouble once again. Whenever i try to put in the serial number on the back of the CD box, it says "invalid Serial Number in Adobe After Effects CS6". I just got the box in today in the mail from Amazon, I dont know if im doing something wrong or what. If i have to call i can call cause i can understand there's alot of "Fake" copies out there, but im just hoping to get this through nice and easy. So can anyone help me?

Why does my Adobe after effects cs6 crash on start up?

I have Adobe After effects for my pc windows 7 64 bit. i have updated my graphics card drivers, my wacom bamboo pen and touch tablet, got the newest update for after effects. i have also fresh installed ae and reinstalled it multiple times. when i start it up it says http://i.imgur.com/48hVDXt.png i also run it as admin.

I was using GeForce 314.22 Driver earlier today when it first failed
I reverted back to GeForce 310.90 Driver which also failed
Now I have installed GeForce 301.42 Driver and After Effects works again. Additionally, I didn't get the intermediary fault I described above (GPUSniffer crashing, but no AE) so I will stick with this driver until the next NVidia driver is released, and try that.
I'd consider reporting this to NVidia, but just haven't got the time or inclination.

After Effects Alert! Help Please!!! Adobe After Effects

After Effects is very important to me as it gives me my greatest income, but since 2 days now, I havent been able to work using it as it gives me the following error:

Please I need help on this!!! I have also tried deleting the preference and allowing it generate a new one, but stil it doesnt work!!!

If After Effects is the primary source of income then the decision to install and run AE on a platform still in development was not a wise decision. I've done a bunch of development over the last 20 years with AE, and I've always had a backup version of my system, a dual boot to the new OS, or a dedicated machine for testing so that my families income was not in jeopardy while I was 'testing' a new system.
It takes about an hour and a half to install Mountain Lion and AE on a machine. I'd do that and get back to work. In all of my years beta testing for many manufacturers and working with developers I've never lost 2 days because I handcuffed my self to an unproven system.
If you must test a new OS set up a dual boot, or boot to a different hard drive. Either option is available easily on a Mac or a Windows PC. Don't expect Adobe to release an update that makes AE compatible with the new OS until the new OS is released to the public.
As another note, from what I've read the problems with CC on Mavericks are mostly a problem with Mavericks right now. There's not much that Adobe can do about that.
Just one other question? Are you an Apple Developer? If so, did you not just violate your NDA???
