Broadband keeps disconnecting after 1 min - 4 hour...

Hi I am having a problem with my broadband. It seems to drop connection constantly and requires me to restart my router for it to work, my router is a couple of months old (non BT) and never had problems with it until now.
Any ideas where to start looking into whats wrong?

Have you check the timeout and reconnection setting for RDP?
Does disconnection happens on active session or Idle session?
We can configure the setting by collection properties or by GPO setting.
On collection Properties check the Timeout Tab and set the setting according to your requirement. On GPO we can find this setting on below mention path and check according to it.

my VPN keeps disconnecting after I have downloaded iOS 8 on my iPad. Why is this happening? How can I fix it?

I am having similar issues. IPad mini ios 8.0.2. VPN connection will drop unexpectedly. Actually, it drops coincide with an active application that uses a lot of memory. Such as a web browser. I can 100% replicate behavior by connecting VPN, going to Safari, and opening Facebook. If I don't use an app that is memory-intensive, VPN stays connected indefinitely.

its driving me nuts. my skype account keeps disconnecting after 30 seconds and i haven't even done anything. it does it on windows, and on my iphone too.
what's going on? is this a problem with skype? i've seen similar posts. and i'm using skype 6.20

That generally means there is an issue with your Microsoft account. You may have to verify some settings in your account to make sure a configuration isn't causing it. The only solution I'm aware of is temporarily unlinking your account. I do not know if reconnecting it will resolve the issue right away.

Call is getting disconnect after 3 min when the caller is in queue

I am using icm 7.0 with ip ivr 7.0. when all the agents are busy and caller is in queue,call is automatically getting disconnected after 3 min with the message " We are experiancing system problem and unable to process the call. please try again later" .

you are right. the timer was for 180 sec only. now things are working fine after increasing the timer.

Network disconnects after Mac mini is running for several hours but a reboot fixes it

i have updated my Mac mini to Yosemite but now it has a networking problem after running for several hours . Trying to open a webpage in Safari or chrome doesn't work, the remote site appears to disconnect. Mail is not downloaded and email already downloaded has no images when I display them. Interestingly DNS resolution is working nslookup finds the IP but telnet to a web site on port 80 gets an instant disconnect.
THe connection ion is wired into a hub and the ISP connection is fine from the other computers on our home network.
I am now rather perplexed how to fix this without constantly rebooting the Mac which just goes against the grain.

GTalk keeps disconnecting every 5 mins

I bought a new MacBook Pro running Lion and am having problem using GTalk on iChat. I configured GTalk using both Jabber and Google Talk drop down but have had the same problem.
I keep getting disconnected every 5 mins and would need to login again. Are there any settings that I am missing?

Do you have any other Accounts set up in iChat ?
Bonjour might be easiest if you have another Mac to "Chat" with as we might be talking about Wifi Drops rather than a Server end issue.
Have you tried creating a Second Mac User Account for testing and trying it there ?

In this case you should ask the Toshiba service partner for the help.
Of course you could also check if the graphic driver update could solve this issue.

My broadband kept disconnection several times a day for several months, and every now and then BT would do a line test and tell me that the line was fine, so the problem must be at my end. To cut a long story short, they finally sent an engineer who was here for 3 hours resolving a problem with the way the line had originally been installed by another BT engineer! It works very well now but took months and several long phone calls to resolve, because BT seemed so reluctant to consider it might be a problem at their end.

There are so many things it might be. However, "it works very well" now sounds promising. If it beginds to play up again, tak a date/time stamp when than it happening. Then come back here if you want, Im sure help will be at hand.

WRT1900AC - Nest Thermostat disconnects after 30 mins

Just swapped my EA6500 for the new WRT1900AC, and everything is rock solid except for my Nest Thermostat. After about 30 mins the Nest will say that it can't take to the wireless, and if I reselet the SSID again, it will stay connected again for about 30 mins.
I believe this issue has been seen before. Something about routers not supporting low power mode correctly and/or the default for timing about a client is less then 30 mins. The EA6500 never had this issue, but it looks like the WRT1900AC does.
I've even set the 2.4Ghz to WPA2 personal only (as suggested by Nest) and the channel width to 20MHz only, but it's still being disconnected after the Nest enteres low power mode and before it wakes up again 30 minutes later..

When I had the Netgear R7000, my 3M Wifi Thermostat would not connect and hold the link between the router and thermostat. I researched this on the 3M site and it was buried deep in their literature that there unit was having some compatibility problems with certain routers, they didn't name which make or model. According to their article they were soon to release a new FW for the device and an updated app for the iOS. Sure enough, almost 20 days later a new FW and app, and the thermostat was SOLIDLY connected to the R7000 and responding to all commands from the app.
The WRT1900AC connected to ALL of my components right from the get go ..no hiccups. I suspect Nest needs to update their FW and all should be good.

RV320 Dual wan setup, wan2 keep disconnecting after a few mins.

I have just switched out our offices rv120w for a rv320. I have set it up for dual wan with fail over. Both WANs are on static ip's. I have the settings working separately, but if i connect both connections to both WAN ports, WAN2 keeps dropping its connection.
It will show in the summary as 0.0.0.0 after a few seconds. I set it up, hit save and it shows both IPs in WAN1 and WAN2...as fast as i can refresh it, it will show WAN2 back to 0.0.0.0
Any thoughts?

as it turned out this was an issue with the ISP that has now been corrected.
on another note i could not change the MTU to 1500 as it would always reset to 1492....

Sql Server 2008 R2 keeps disconnecting after a few minutes -- how can I prevent this?

I already went into the Sql Server Configuration manager and set the TCPIP Keep Alive value to 0 (default setting 30000). But still, after like 5 minutes it disconnects, and I have to re-log back in. The problem with this is that I will usually have several
#temp tables open -- then I have to re-create/populate all these #temp tables. I'm running win7 SP1, Sql Server 2008 R2 Developer -- SP2. Is there something I can set in the registry maybe? What can I do to prevent sql server 2008 R2 Developer from disconnecting?

Sometimes for monitoring we have to do actions that are one-time in order to check our assumptions. In this case I recommend that you do this check :-)
you just need to check it once (like 24 hours), to make sure that this is the the source of the issue, or not :-)
In any case you can use screensaver, but make sure that you do not close disks as well.

IPhone 6 iOS 8.1 - WiFi disconnects after 1 min. from Internet Shared of an iPad Mini

I have an iPad Mini with 4G, one of the main uses is that I use it to share the internet connection as a hotspot with other devices such my Samsung Galaxy S4 without any problem. A few days ago, I've buught the new iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1 to replace my old Galaxy S4, but when I try to do the same thing using my iPad mini as hotspot, I noticed that the iPhone lose the link to the iPad after a minute aprox after I stop using it, to make the sharing work again I need to go into the Sharing Internet screen on the iPad and turn it Off and then On again. I just want to share the internet and keep connected with my iPhone while both devices are in range just as I did with my Galaxy S4.

Apogee Duet keeps disconnecting after update to Snow Leopard

I updated to Snow Leopard (10.6.8 ) yesterday and now for some reason my Apogee Duet sound card keeps disappearing and randomly disconnecting.... It then automatically switches to my screen display audio. Very annoying.
If i pull out the fire wire cable and reconnect, it temporarily comes back but then vanishes again without warning.
I doubt it's anything to do with the cable because I have been using it since 2010 without any problems until yesterday...
Any ideas on how to fix this? Please help!

Delete Duet software package with uninstaller and install the latest software package or reset Duet?
Or resetting NVRAM.
