Browse in Bridge help Premiere CS4

Question

I am working on a large scale project that mixes audio and video from several videos, so I am working on them separately and then combining them into one file with the segments I actually need.  I assume that Browse in Bridge is the tool I need to use in order to do this properly, but every time I reopen the main project, all the audio I used through Browse in Bridge does not work.  It is still present and the key frames are still marked, but there is no frequency and no audio when I play it.  The video transfers fine.  What is going on?  
Am I doing something wrong?  Is there a different tool I should be using in order to work cross-projects?  Please help…

I think that I see the problem. Bridge is an Asset cataloging program, that can be launched from within PrPro (or PS, or AI, or InDesign, etc.), or as a stand-alone program. When one launches from within one of the Adobe editing programs, there is a direct link. When you Browse in Bridge, and find what you want, you then need to Dbl-click it, to Import it into the program, from which it was launched. In PrPro, this will Import it into the Project Panel, and then when you do a Save, it will still be linked from there to its location on your system. I would guess that this is the step missing.
If you launch Bridge from AI, but want the Asset to be Imported into PrPro, then you need to do that in a bit more of a manual fashion, same as if you launch it from PS, but want the Asset (depending on the format) to Open in AI, you must do that linking from Bridge manually.
Working in PrPro, when you launch it, and Dbl-click the Asset, the link is direct to the Project Panel. Note: when doing this, it's wise to first Select the Bin, where you will want that Asset to be Imported into, or you will then need to do some housekeeping later on, dragging say the Audio to the Audio Bin.
