Browse purchased movies, TV programmes on iPhone 5

iPad (3) with iOS 6 compared to iPhone 5 in iTunes Store. I can't see purchased movies, TV programmes etc on the iPhone. Is this just my iPhone or yours too?

the Purchased button has been added to the More button in iTunes on iPhone 5. Why was this not there before? Odd.

Purchased movies won't transfer iPhone to MacBook

I purchased a movie on my iPhone - but when I connect to my MacBook I can't transfer it. It says "play movie" but the button doesn't work when I click it.

I fixed the problem myself! I went into isync and clicked on "reset sync history". It worked and now my calendars are syncing back and forth just fine. I hope this helps anyone who has the same problem.

ITunes won't allow me to send purchased movies to my iPad/iPhone

Says my Mac is not authorized.but it plays the movie in itunes and on my atv2. My Mac is authorized. and both the mac and the Ipad are using the same itunes account name. and all devices are authorized.

Here are a couple of suggestions:
1. You probably already know how to authorize/ deauthorize a computer, but in case you don't, you need to go onto iTunes drop down menu under Store-Authrize my computer to ensure that the iPad is authorized to play you're purchased films.
2. You can check your account under the same drop down menu to see how many devices have been authorized already. You can have up to 5, I believe. You view this under "my account" info.
I haven't used atv2, so I don't know whether it too requires "authorization", so you could double check that info. too.
Oftenn times, if your using multiple devices, you might be not be authorizing each device, but as I understand it, that is one of the ways Apple can control the purchases made on iTunes.

Purchased movie from Itunes wont sync with Iphone but rental movie will????

I purchased a movie from Itunes and it shows up in my library movies but it wont sync with my iphone. Before I bought the movie i rented a movie to make sure it works and I liked the format so I know that it can auto sync with the iphone. In they Sync section of Itunes under videos it only has 2 headings. Rental movies and TV shows. There is no option for Movies at all so it does not even come up to transfer it over to the phone like with the rental.
I have solved the problem temporarily but would love help on a proper fix. If I check the box manual merge music and videos on the summary page I can get the movie over by dragging it from the library and dropping it into the phone but it still does not show up under the video tab but is on the phone. This then deletes all my music and I have to manually sync that as well.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am using a mac book with an iphone and a move in Itunes that I actually paid for - from itunes. I just cant figure it!

I think the layout in sync could be improved for movies perhaps putting Purchased Movies right after Rental Movies. When I am on that tab, Rental Movies (I have none and it tells me so) and then TV shows are visible on the screen with lots of blank space under. I had to scroll down to find the movie sync option (which may seem pretty obvious - but with all the white space after TV shows, I didn't notice that the scroll bar had room to scroll further). Yes, I feel a little stupid (and grateful to you for making the solution so obvious), but I do think the tab layout contributed to my ineptness.

Purchased movies not shown in itunes (but on Apple TV and iPhone 6)

I bought some movies on apple tv and they are shown correctly on iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.2) and Apple TV 3.
But I can't see them (the movies library is shown empty) in iTunes 12 on my MacBook Air (mid 2012, Yosemite 10.10.1).
My music is shown correctly with iTunes match so i don't think it's a problem with iCloud.
Any ideas what i can do to see my purchased movies in iTunes?

I've had this issue a couple of times on my Apple TV (3rd gen). I managed to get the newly matched content to show up a couple of times by editing the metadata for the album and then changing it back to the original (i.e. I changed the album title to add an 'X' to the end of it, then changed it back to the original) and it somehow triggered the iTunes Match on the Apple TV to update itself. I haven't really found a way to force Match on the Apple TV to update itself if it's being stubborn. Best of luck getting this sorted.

Can't transfer purchased movie from iPhone to iTunes library

I purchased a movie from iTune store on my iPhone. When I sync'd the iPhone with iTunes an icon was created in iTunes movie library, but there's no movie, just an icon. The purchased movie is still on my phone. I've re-sync'd, re-built iTunes, etc... No luck.
How do I get the movie from the iPhone to iTunes movie library?
I've researched this for a couple weeks and have failed at every turn.
Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks, but the link to the iPad user guide was not particularly helpful.
It turns out that iTunes is not smart enough to let me download movies to multiple devices. So, I had to transfer from my iPad to my library, and then transfer from there to my iPhone. I would have expected iTunes to know that I had purchased it, and just let me download it again on my other device.

Purchased movie deleted from iPhone

A movie I purchased and saved on my iPhone is no longer on my iPhone after syncing to my MacMini. It's now located in iTunes on my MacMini, but how do I get it back to the iPhone, and how do I get it to remain on the iPhone? Why did it delete from the iPhone? Is there a way to sync (copy) ONLY the movie back to the iPhone without syncing everything else? De-selecting a category to sync results in a warning stating that all info in that category will be deleted from the iPhone. ??? I've owned and used a Mac of some sort since the Mac Classic days and this syncing thing is the most confusing process Apple has ever developed.

Did you try iTunes > File menu > Transfer purchases from...?
If they are in your purchase history on your iTunes account, you can use the Report a Problem link.

I am unable to purchase tv shows or movies via iTunes on iPhone 5 running iOS7. Can purchase songs, have plenty of space available on the device, and no issues purchasing tv shows or movies from iTunes using my computer. Has anyone else had this issue?

Underneath the "Purchased" option there is a "Downloads option" - This should get the d/l going if it hasn't started already. Note - for movies greater than 100mb in size a wifi connection is needed.
To re-download movies you've previously purchased from iTunes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Launch the iTunes app.
Tap the Purchased tab at the bottom (if you don't see it, tap the More tab and then check there).
Tap Movies from the selection list.
Tap on the iCloud icon beside any of your previously purchased movies to re-download.

Have you tried simply checking the movie under the movie tab when the device is connected to iTunes and selected from the device list on the left hand side.

Authorized computer not syncing purchase movies to iphone

Hello, I recently brought my computer back to life and I am having problems syncing certain purchased movies from my computer to my iphone. Everything syncs well except for some movies. I got the authorize computer message and did that but the problem persists. Everything checks out with the location of the movies and I am able to play them on my computer in the itunes session. I just can't get them over to my iphone4 which I was able too previously.
Couple of notes. My computer died and I have it restored all as is with exception to the new mother board etc. Everything else works as expected other than this issue.
Please help if possible.

They must be in a format to play on the iphone or they will not sync. Select the movie in itunes, then Advanced>Create Ipod/Iphone version. Select that version to sync to your phone. You can also use handbrake to create iphone versions & then drag them to itunes. Handbrake has presets for the iphone:

HT1349 I have a laptop computer with Windows 7, powered intel core i7. I am trying to download a purchased movie from ITunes. I am on wifi g. Why is it taking 17 hours to download a simple movie? This is nuts!

Question: Why when downloading a purchased movie from ITunes does it take 8 to 17 hours to download? I have an HP Laptop with Windows 7 using a core processer i7. This is the second day to try to get the movie downloaded and I still cannot watch this movie. Seems like a problem with ITunes or a scam. I use a IPhone 4 with little issues, But when using this lap top -- it is a joke.

First thing to do is get the CC off your system. Then try the direct download option linked below...

So, I have recently begun purchasing movies and TV shows through iTunes in an attempt to further enrich my Apple ecosystem (and to have awesome movies to watch on a 5.5" screen ). I have had mixed experiences with this transition and am still having issues. For example, my Apple TV worked fine with all my purchases instantly -- no problem there. My Mac Mini takes a bit but it sorts itself out in no time. My iPhone 6 Plus, however, has failed at showing new purchases in the cloud in the videos app (for example, I purchased Doctor Who Series 8 and wanted to watch an episode the other day but was disappointed to find out that it wasn't available in the cloud). My Macbook Air though.. absolutely no movies or tv shows show up in iTunes. I can download them from the purchased section of the iTunes store, but at 2-3 GBs an episode, and the limited memory of a Macbook, I have only condoned a desire to stream them through iCloud.
Yet I can't figure it out. Why aren't my shows and movies showing up at all in iTunes? All of my iTunes match songs show up just fine. I have checked and nothing is hidden, so I am literally stumped.
If anyone could help me understand why, that would be great. And if anybody knows what is going on with my iPhone's video app, that would be awesome too.

Oh alright -- I manage to resolve my own stupidity quite abruptly, actually.
Shortly after posting this, I annoying took another gander at iTunes Store settings. To my own idiocy, I must have unchecked "Show iTunes purchases in the cloud" at some point. In my defense, though, the availability of songs in iCloud threw me off quite a lot.
Ha ha -- anyways, if anyone else is having the same problem, check there.

Purchased movie does not show up in Apple tv

I just bought a movie (Valkryie with Tom Cruise)...and for some reason it does not show up in my purchased movies on any of my devices (Apple TV, iPhone) and it also does not show up as purchased in my iTunes library.
This is the only movie where this has happened. Even stranger, I could not find the movie via Apple TV (not even by search) but could find it in iTunes (bought it and it downloaded to my Macbook). Even after it downloaded, it still does not show up in my other devices.
ANyone have any ideas??

Apple has not reached a deal with all movie studios to allow the re-downloading of purchased content. The likelihood is that the movie you have purchased is from a studio that has not licensed its products for re-downloading.
