BT Vision BTV-412 ERROR

Hi Folks,
desperate need of help!!
im 100% convinced this is an account issue - BT want to send an engineer out for the 5th time - had the last one out today and he confirmed all hardware was fine.
this is a transcript from a chat earlier tonight:
im not a complainer but im at my wits end - been at this for a month!
I have had BT TV, Infinity & Telephone Line installed on the 19th of December.
According to your system the broadband wasn't installed correctly and an engineer was required.
this was booked for January 9th
Everything was working fine until 8pm on january 8th and since then my TV isn't working.
I'm getting error code BTV-412 on my smaller vision box and can't get BT services at all on my larger Youview D1000 box.
the BT web forums all suggest the fault is with port or provisioning settings on your side.

  • BTV-700 Error Message "Somethings gone wrong...."

    Having recently unsubscribed with SKY I am now reliant upon BT for my children's TV.  Over the last few weeks we have been frequently ( 4 out of 5 ) unable to watch BT Vision Kids programs because we get the BTV-700 "Somethings gone wrong. Sorry, we cant make this work at the moment. Please try again later.[BTV-700]" error message.  We then have to restart the YouView box and try again.  This can then repeat itself 3 or 4 times, by which time the kids have given up.
    Any suggestions on what is the likely cause of this?

    I usually switch my router off then on to cure this. Don't know whether it does or not but is at least a temporary fix.

  • ZEN Vision 'Hardware Problem' error mess

    Model No: ZEN Vision - PMC-HD0002
    Error occurred as a result of a firmware upgrade.I can access 'recovery mode' &?have attempted several further firmware upgrades.It loads, rebuilds, reboots, starts then the 'hardware problem' error message returns.The device is currently stating, in 'recovery mode', that the following firmware is loaded v.42.0_0.0.9.I have removed all data (format all), run 'clean up' & 'rebooted' then upgraded firmware but with no success.?Any ideas will be greatly received & appreciated.

    I have seen a couple of events logged in the forums but no solution whatsoever.

    i tried installing java still the pkg file returns similar error.. also no usb drive gets mounted
    I'm not sure I understand those statements.
    Do you have Java installed already?
    Did you try to install Java (how)?
    You also cannot mount a hard drive on USB?

  • Get a -412 Error when coping to an External Drive

    I bought a Lacie 200 GB External Drive, it worked for about
    two years then started giving a -412 error when a eps photo
    was trying to copy. It was a hit and miss thing. Then it started to expand to text and jpegs. Nobody at Lacie can give an anwser for the error. They said to reformatt the hard drive. So I bought a new Lacie 300 GB External Drive and the same thing is happening within 24 hours. The error massage is as follows: "The eps, text, or jpeg can't be written Because an error of type -412 occurred."
    Any help would be helpful.

    I too would love to know what a -412 error is.
    Whilst trying to copy a CD to an internal HFS+ 30 GB drive (on a grey G3/300 running Mac OS 8.6, using the "Mac OS 8.6 Base" and "8.6 All" configurations via Extensions Manager), I was getting it repeatedly.
    Disk First Aid (8.5.5) says there is nothing wrong with the drive. Alsoft's DiskWarrior (3.0.3) also gives it a clean bill of health, but the -412 error still occurs after a directory rebuild.
    I moved the HD to my G4, running OS X 10.3.9 and ran Disk Utility on it, which reported no errors. I could copy the CD to the HD via the G4 successfully, using the Sony-badged DVD-ROM drive from the G3 as well (just to confirm it wasn't a device error or media error). I put the HD and reader back into the G3 and try to copy the CD again, I get more -412 errors.
    So I fit another HD into the G3, this one a 4 GB Apple-badged Quantum, and installed Mac OS 9.2.2 onto it. I set the 30 GB drive as slave, and tried to copy the CD to the 30 GB drive again. Once again, I got a -412 error.
    Anyone with some clues as to what a -412 error is, and what's going on here?

  • BT Vision - Continuous problems, error codes etc

    This is my second home move with BT Broadband/BT Vision and I must say it has been an absolute disaster.
    For example, I have had error code C03 for 4 weeks now and each time I have been told by the helpline that the account needs to be re-ordered. I have now called for the 4th time (via India) and been told that the order has still not been issued and I need to call another number 0800 800 900 in the morning. Come on BT, this can't be serious? Also, please note that your BT Vision technical helpline is not the correct number on your website - 0800 111 4567 this number I have been told is only for broadband, so please update your website!
    I somehow can see why Sky does so well - their customer support is second to none and they will do everything to get you setup right away.  
    Still waiting for BT Vision but I may sign up for Sky as I'm running out of patience.

  • No Vision - BTV is a complete waste of money!

    I have spent the last 5/6 weeks trying to get some measure of value from my BT Vision service. I have placed numerous calls to the helpdesk, who have all acted thoroughly professionally and supportively. We had a visit from an engineer three weeks ago who assured us the problem was with the line and promptly installed a new socket and plate and told us everyhting would be fine!
    It was - for 5 days!
    We have been gertting the dreaded VO4 message on and off for the last two weeks. Last weekend I expressed my sincere displeasure at the service and expressed my opinion that I had been sold an unworkable product which went against the Trade Description Act as BTV is not fit for purpose. I was placed in the care of a senior/priority care officer who promised to phone two days later on Monday(6th Dec) evening.
    She did and BTV was working - joy unbounded!!!
    She phoned again this evening to see if all was OK - it wasn't! VO4!!!!!! She asked me to do a speedtest, the results of which are below:
     Download speed achieved during the test was - 3478 Kbps
     For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 1200-4000 Kbps.
     Additional Information:
     Your DSL Connection Rate :6368 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
     IP Profile for your line is - 4000 Kbps
    The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 3.63:16.96:79.41 (SBE:NBEBE)

    She told me that there was too much fluctuation on the line to get BTV to work! She then said that she had to talk to engineering and will ring me back on Saturday.
    The least I expect is it to be fixed and there to be appropriate renumeration for lack of service. However, there is a distinct possibility of me seeking a termination and refund of the contract.
    Is there anyone on here who can help?

  • Vision acquisition timeout error

     Good day! I do not know what is wrong but my VI suddenly stops with a timeout error. I cannot find the wrong thing. Your help would be much appreciated.

    Good day sir! Yes, I only need one image for all of my Vision Assistant's analysis. All of my Vision Assistant has an Extract Single Color Plane VI. After executing the first Vision Assistant, the image produced by the lone Vision Acquisition I left is already extracted to its Single Color Plane. This brings error to my remaining Vision Assistant VI for they cannot extract the image to its single color plane anymore because the image is already converted. Why does this happen? I assured that the Vision Assistants are connected in parallel to the Vision Acquisition, meaning every Vision Assistant is connected to the output of the Vision Acquisition. 
    Thank you for the tip on using Flat Sequence Structure in my VI. It works and doesn't display any timeout error. 
     I have an another issue. I put a Play Sound File VI. I am sure that I have put the right path but it displays Error 4805 occurred at Play Sound File.vi that it cannot find the sound file. I tried to do this in a new VI without any while loop or case structure and it works. 
    Also, can you give me a tip what to use to display a certain image file if for example I typed "a", and another certain image file if I typed "b". 
    So far, the most important part of my system, the image acquisition is resolved. I owe this to you. Thank you, sir!

  • Creative Zen Vision : M Hardisk error? W

    A few days ago I purchased a Creative Zen Vision: M mp3 player.
    Creative Zen Vision : M
    So anyway, I put a few song on here about 4 or 5 playlists and all of a sudden... Its went into recovery mode.
    The only options its giving me are the following and its repercutions:
    v0.0.22
    Clean Up - I enter this mode and it gets stuck.
    Format All - I've entered this mode already, but it says something about Harddisc error?!
    Reload Firmware - Same as format all, it says something about a harddisc error.
    Reboot - All this does is restart the mp3.
    Im stuck with a brand new mp3 that cannot do any of the functions it says it can do.

    I think waiting more then 5 minutes would wield a better result. But I think the player might have a defecti've harddri've. You may need to contact Creative support about it.

  • Vision usb camera error

    Hi,
    I am using LabVIEW version 9 and Vision Acquisition software together with a USB 2.0 digital camera. My error is that when i run my VI, the Vision Acquisition software can't find the camera but it can find it only if the VI is not running. (Attached below is the error that I get). How do I solve this issue?

    Are you still encountering the same error?  
    When you say that it "can find it only if the VI is not running", can you elaborate on this statement? Are you able to see your USB camera inside of Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) and are you able to successfully grab images from there? That will be the first thing to check. Because if it cannot grab images inside of MAX, then you will not be able to in your VI. 
    You also may want to verify that your Vision Acquisition Software (VAS) license is indeed activated for you computer. You can check this by going to the NI License Manager program.

  • BTV 251 Error

    I've just had infinity installed today.
    My Youview box shows BT player and the BT logo.
    I don't subscribe to any TV packages at the moment but I should get BT sports, but when I try to access it I get BTV error 251.
    All other demand players work fine.  I've done a maintenance mode reset but still get the message. I have seen others with the problem on here and tried what they say to do, but still get the error.

    But when you add up the costs and commitment (£5 month - min 12 months and one off activation of £35)  you realise that you just a well take up the package that includes a free box.

    you can probably do that online or alternatively over the phone if the online system doesn't offer you the combination you want.
    You should be able to get an Essential package at £5/month  or the Entertainment package at £7/month   (plus the one off activation fee £35). 
    Remember when ordering your TV package to add the BT sports pack - free but needs to be ordered.

    It just showed me a BTV-337 errod message.
    Does anybody know how to resolve this problem?

  • Problem upgrading Vision:M firmwear; error? please help

    Windows XP wasn't recognizing my ZVM when i plugged it into the usb port to upgrade the firmwear. so, i opened systems>drivers>hardware and reinstalled the software. the computer immediately found software that allowed the player to be recognized by the computer--triumph!?i downloaded the firmwear v..62.02_0.0.23 and thought it wasn't going alright. unfortunately, when it was done,?the computer?said there was an error and that it could not fully download the firmwear. when i restared the player, though there wasn't a firmwear error anymore, it still wouldn't turn on. so, i put it into safety mode and saw that the firmwear was supposedly downloaded.?if the new firmwear is downloaded, why isn't the player working?!
    i've had it for a little over 6 months, and this is ridiculous. can anyone help me find use for this nearly $300 paper weight?

    You downloaded an incremental updater. You needed the combo updater above. The updaters cannot install a full version of OS X. For that you need the Snow Leopard installer DVD that came with your computer.

  • Vision Update Failed Error Code VDR363

    Update fails saying Downloading Update Tool Failed with error code VDR363. Also get various other error codes each time it tries to download.
    Off and on again does not help. Factory reset does not help. Front line technical support just repeat info found on website... no help.
    Can anyone help?
