BUG in  Conversion of Planned order to Production Order.

Dear all,
I got an error while conversion of planned order to production order are as follows,
No Default values maintained for op.generation for order type ZFT1(matlPILSF002).
Can anyone please guide me to proceed further.
Kumar.

Hi,
Root cause behind this problem is, no Routing found.
First complete below settings.
- Go to OPJG And create defult Operation creation in case of no Routing found. This setting will generate the default Operation incase of no routing found during Order creation.
- In T.code OPJF Create automatic selection parameters (Selection ID) for Routing.
- In T.Code OPL8 Maintain Selection ID for Routing and also maintain type of Routing selection (3 - Automatic Routing selection)

    Hi Akshay,
Overflow during arithmetical operation type P COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW comes when the maximum of the internal ABAP field that is 99,999,999,999.99 many be quantity, cost value UoM conversion etc.
Please check how this UOM (unit of measure) is defined in transaction CUNI. In this transaction, you may have set the Value-based commitment indicator. This indicator controls whether commitments for the chosen unit of measure are recorded on a quantity basis or a value basis.
Please search OSS note for this dump and also raise this to OSS.

  • Planned order to production order conversion in APO

    Hi Gurus,
Can you please tell me how i can convert planned order into production order in APO? How that production order will be transfer to ECC?
    Regards
    Rajib Pathak

    Hello Rajib,
    The following are required -->
    1. Active Intergration Model for production orders in R/3 .
    2. Distribution definition  (T.Code /sapapo/cp1) in APO.
    3. Retransfer settings (optional, read the F1 help here, before setting one) (T.code /sapapo/cp3)
Also make right setting for transfer for inhouse production in /sapapo/rrpcust1 in APO.
Then create a planned order and check the "Conversion indicator" in the product view (/sapapo/rrp3). or use transaction /sapapo/rrp7 to convert orders in mass.

  • Conversion of planned orders to production orders

    Hi,
we are doing mass conversion of planned orders to production orders and performing capacity availability check, how system will give log information based on these two things,
when i perform availability check at time of order creation and will not allow to create if anything is missing (i selected user decides option in configuration), does it show any error log report and where can i see.
When i perform availability check at time of release, if anything missing it will not allow to release and give a choice for a user to release in normal production order creation process, how it will work in mass conversion. is there any standard report to look at missing planned orders so that users will come to know and then decides whether to convert to production order or not.
    thanks in advance.

    Dear ,
In SM38-Enter PPBICO40 -Execute -Here you need to Mark the Output log option with Erros only or Error Folder for each MRP controller  .Frist you do it in test mode and then remove test mode , mark the Output log option as per requured field and check the result .
refer this useful thread : Program PPBICO40 for conversion of planned orders to production order

  • Capacity check during Planned order to production order conversion

    Hello Gurus,
I have a strange situation during capacity check.
While Converting the planned order to Production order, I release the order and I don't get any warning. All work centers are available
But for the same material/quantity/dates, if I create the Production order manually, release it, system check the capacity and I got the message the Capacity Over loaded (which is correct also as there are overload on the work centers).
My question is why I am not getting this message while converting the planned order to production order.
There are overload on the work centers and manual creation of Production order is working fine, but problem is during planned order to production order conversion.
For information, I have maintained Finite scheduling indicator in OPKP, capacity availability indicator "NO CHECK" is also blank in OPJK.
It will be grateful if you can please help me here.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sandeep Kumar

    Hi KK,
    Thanks for your feedback.
I have checked all these settings but still no success.
I am surprised but it is not a customizing issue I believe, because capacity is checked in Dev client while converting planned order to production order. I am facing this issue only in Staging client.
Master Data is same. In CM01, in Quality(Staging) client, it is showing overload. while creating production order, it shows overload but only when convert from planned order to production order, it does not show overload .
Please suggest what else I need to check.
    thanks in advance.

  • Partial conversion of planned order into production order of AFS material

    Dear Experts,
I am working with SAP 6.0 EHP4 with AFS add-on. My material is AFS specific material. I am not able to convert planned order into production order partially from MD04 screen as all the fields in the CO48 screen is grayed out.
    Please help...
    Regards,
    Alok Tiwari

    Hi,
I am not able to get what is passing the start date.
Second thing is how you are generating the serial number - manually or automatic?
If you are generating serial number automatic, then it is not possible to generate it considering the basic start date.
But if you are entering the serial number manually, then there should not be any problem as system will accept that serial number which you enter at the time of conversion of planned order to production order.

  • Conversion planned order to production order without BOM - no message

    Hello
Problem: during conversion planned order to production order system does not inform (warning or error) that BOM is not exist. Is it possible  to force system to any reaction by standard configuration ?
Everything is ok if production order is created by CO01, but during conversion there is no any reaction - production order is created, released etc. I only see by system status that something is wrong (NMAT - No material components). Probably we will have to do it by User Exit but I want to know that all standard configs are exhausted.
    Thx in advance. Reg.
    Joanna

    Hello
The BOM is not read again when a planned order is converted to production order on the standard system.
You may implement the modification from note 391846 to force master data to be read again, therefore, an error message will be triggered during the conversion when the BOM is invalid.

  • Partial conversion of Planned orders to Production orders

    Hi all
I wan tot partially convert planned order to production order. I am able to do this with MD04. Is there a tcode for mass partial conversion. CO41 does not allow a partial conversion. Is there a way I can collectively do a partial conversion.
    thanks

    Hi John,
To the best of my knowledge there is no t-code to do a mass partial conversion of planned orders.
You can try with a lsmw recording of t-code co48 & then input your planned order numbers with the qty to be partially converted or alternatively use co41, change the qty & convert the planned orders, but with this you will need to re-run MRP to create another planned order for the balance qty.
    Hope the above helps.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • Program PPBICO40 for conversion of planned orders to production order

    Hi,
The program PPBICO40 is for conversion of planned orders to production orders in the background job.But while set up of variant it is asking me for peson who created error folder and recipient.I want to know the significance of these two fields and how these are useful.
Please throw some light on this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ravi

    Dear,
PPBICO40 the non-convertible planned orders are put together in one batch input session and can be postprocessed with batch input tools. It is possible to create a separate error session for each MRP controller.
Error folder for each MRP controller: creates a separate error folder for each MRP controller.
Receive folder according to view: If the indicator is set, the error folder is not deleted after processing in batch input.
Creator of the error folder: User who is entered as creator in the error folder .
Send mail: Sends a mail to the respective MRP controllers during the creation of a batch input session. If the indicator 'Error folder per MRP controller' is not set, the mail is sent to 'Recipient (alternative)'.
Express document: sends mail as an express document.
Recipient (alternative): Recipient of the mail, if no recipient is specified in the material requirements planning master record of the MRP controller responsible .
    Hope clear to you.

  • Re-exploding BOM at conversion of planned order to production order

    Hi, all.
I'd like to be able to specify that the planned orders I'm converting to production order re-explode the BOM on the scheduled date rather than the basic date of the production order.
I want to be able to do this in customizing rather than specifying a BOM Explosion Date (fixed key date) in the planned order or independent requirements.  Is there anything in customizing that could do this?
    Thanks!
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
I think you have checked the note:
391846 Modif: Reading master data when converting planned order
Because only with the modification of this note, you will be able to re-explode the BOM when converting the planned order to production order,  however, there is no way to set the BOM explosion date to the scheduled date during the conversion, there is no such customizing as the note only add three action for this function:
         ' '  Do not read
'1'  Read with explosion date from planned order
'2'  Read with newly determined explosion date
So if you need such function, you may try to develop the modification by yourself.

    Rachel

  • Auto conversion of planned order to production orders

    Hi Gurus,
Few days back I posted a question on; Auto conversion of planned order to production orders.
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2135568&tstart=0
There is standard SAP Transaction to run a batch job. no need to use - user exit or a BAPI
    Follow this procedure:
    TCode: COHV
on the initial screen; select "CHECK BOX" for planned orders and deselect production orders.
    select mass processing tab.
    Function: 210 Convert planned orders.
    On Menu-Programs-Execute in background
    Thanks

    HI Alok,
I was looking at CO41 and there is only one small problem with that. You have to give an 'Order Type' as a input. And I don't see 'Execute in the background' anywhere. I think I have to create a job using wizard in SM36.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
    Thanks

  • Conversion of planned order to Production Order

    Hi,
I am converting Planned Order to Production Order in CO40.
During this I am getting an information "Error or warning occured during master data transfer". What is this due to?
    Please give your inputs.
    Regards
    Ramakanth

    Hi,
Check whether the BOM and Routing Maintained for this Material and they are valid or any PV maintained is OK.
If there is any problem with the BOM then the relevant information like BOM Not fond etc.. can be seen in MD04 itself.
It seems, the problem is with the Routing, as at the time of Production Order conversion only the Routing will be copied..
So, check the details and revert for further discussion..

  • Planned order to production order conversion

    Hi,
I have one requirement from  my clinet. My client want to convert the planned order into production orders through a background job. We can use the t.code:co41  to convert the pld order into production order, but CO41 program can not be executed in background.
Is there is a way to do this in background..
    Please advice.

    Puruhsothaman,
Yes.  Use the standard SAP program PPBICO40 in your background batch job.
