Bug in "look up" functionality in textareas in safari

The first word on a new line of a text area displays funny (highlights NOT where the word originally was) if you use the "look up" functionality (triple-click). See images below.
Using safari 5.1.3 (7534.53.10) and OSX 10.7.3.

i would implement it like that:
program a svc that is called from other services as request reply compoenent.
svcLookup always gets all data or bits of data that a client (Use1, Use2) needs and replys the data to the requesting service. Use1 and 2 may cache results in case the db is down then the requests to Lookup would timeout.

While you may certainly generate a PDF that contains the same information, it likely will not look exactly like WebHelp and it certainly will not behave as WebHelp.
WebHelp is intended for on-line use while the PDF is really intended for printing if one chooses to.

I have always found spell check to be "buggy" in every version of all of the iOS's that I have run on my original model iPad and my new iPad - especially when replying and typing posts in these forums. It works perfectly in every other application on my iPad but it has never worked perfectly in any web browser that I have used on my iPad - no matter what I have done to try to correct it. That is what MY experience has been with spell check on my iPads.
As for the crashes on your iPad try these basic troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit all apps and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Palm Desk Top 6.2 Address Look Up Function Does Not Work In Windows 7

I recently upgraded my desk top computer's operating system from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium.  I synchronize with a Palm Tx PDA.  HP PalmOS customer support Chat helped me work through a compatibility issue that was preventing display of Address, Calendar, Memo and To Do items on my desk top computer via the Palm Desk Top 6.2 application.  I now find that the address look up function does not work (although it worked fine when I was running Vista). Without success, I tried running the repair tool as well as reloading the software (both overlay and clean reinstall). I would appreciate any help or suggestions to fix?

Look Up function is not working with custom dictionary - How can I solve this?

Hi everyone,
I recently installed a Chinese-English dictionary known as 小词典 or Xiao CiDian using the .mpkg file that I downloaded from the website (here's a link: http://xiaocidian.com/). The dictionary package was added to the native Dictionary application on my Mac. When I go to the Dictionary application and search for Chinese words, there are no problems – results just come up as they should. The website claims that the Look Up function should work with this dictionary as well, and that I should be able to look up the definitions of any Chinese words that I come across (which makes sense, seeing as it's integrated into the native Dictionary application). The problem? It's not happening. I've tried all the ways that I have found to get to the Look Up pop-up dialog box – Ctrl-Cmd-D, right-click and the Lion three-finger double-tap gesture – but all that ever happens is that the dialog box comes up, saying "No results found". Does anyone know why this is happening? Should I try reinstalling the dictionary? Thanks in advance to anyone who can give some advice.

My guess is they don't care. Most likely they're illiterate and don't know what a colon is for. They probably think it's a little-used character. Remember: these are the people who don't know the difference between "deprecate" and "depreciate".
I have the same colon problem as you do. But it's not the biggest problem I have encountered in Lion. If it was only that I'd be Mr. Delighted with Lion. There's worse than having a colon - uh - that won't cooperate. A lot worse, in Lion.

Making bug wings look "right" in illustrator?

Hi, I am trying to illustrate a wasp for my design technology course and am required to use illustrator. I am unable to find a way to make bug wings look right. Any help would be appreciated, as I've tried multiple things but I am fairly inexperienced.
This is the wasp, and the wings just don't look proper.

Can't tell whether the sketch you're tracing includes them or not, but what's missing is the "cells."

Calling a method in a signed applet from JavaScript does not do anything. Same functionality works in IE, Safari and Chrome. Is this a limitation of the JavaScript implementation?

Bug? using MAX() function on char(1) column returns something larger

details:

SELECT X INTO var FROM (SELECT MAX(X) X FROM ... worked in 9i, does not work in 10g!

I certainly looks like a bug, but you should raise an iTAR on Metalink since Oracle does not monitor this forum.
I was able to replicate your results on my 10.2.0.1 database.
There is an easier workaround than yours. Try
ALTER TABLE sql_bug_test MODIFY (z VARCHAR2(1));That seems to eliminate the problem on my instance.

Bug?: Tabular Form function "addRow" can't handle multi-line Row Templates

Hi all,
i created a custom Report Template (Named Column Row Template) which creates 2 lines per Record (which in fact is 2 rows in a HTML table).
In the APEX function initTabForm (apex_4_0.js) the sample row (f01_0000) is read and stored in gTabFormInitRow
This is done by using a jQuery Selector like this: jQuery('#init_row_'+pRegionID) which returns only the first row of my multiline record.
Is this behaviour intended or is it a bug? Or do i have to change my HTML structure?

I was afraid you would say it is intended behavior :-)
A table per row has the disadvantage of loosing the automatic column width, i would have to set the column width to a fixed value to maintain a nice look.

"Look up" function in PDF

Double-tap with three finders to "look up" in PDF seems not work even using Preview.
Is there any solutions?
Without in PDF file, such a useful function is just like.... weaken a lot.

The simplest way to achieve lookup in ODI is to join the Source table and the LookUp table in the source based on the joined condition you have in the 2 tables.
There is no ready made transformation for lookup in ODI.
