Bug in new reminders app on ipad

When I type past the bottom of the notes box on the new reminders app, it jumps back up to the top and will not let me scroll back down. Why is it doing this? It works fine on my iphone 4.

Did you ever find a fix for this?  Seems to still be around in IOS 6

  • Is there a way to increase the font size for the "songs" and "artists" lists in the new music app for iPad 2 (iOS 5)? It is too small for me.

is there really no fix for this?
It would depend on your definition of "Fix"
Your iPod touch running OS 4.2 has a ZOOM feature which will enable you to see the screen more clearly.
To turn Zoom on or off got to:
Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and tap the Zoom On/Off switch.
    _To Zoom in or out_:
Double-tap the screen with three fingers. By default, the screen is magnified 200 percent. If you manually change the magnification (by using the tap-and-drag gesture, described below), iPod touch automatically returns to that magnification when you zoom in by double-tapping with three fingers.
Increase magnification: With three fingers, tap and drag toward the top of the screen (to increase magnification) or toward the bottom of the screen (to decrease magnification). The tap-and-drag gesture is similar to a double-tap, except you don’t lift your fingers on the second tap—instead, drag your fingers on the screen. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger.
    _Move around the screen_:
When zoomed in, drag or flick the screen with three fingers. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger so that you can see more of the screen. Hold a single finger near the edge of the display to pan to that side of the screen image. Move your finger closer to the edge to pan more quickly. When you open a new screen, Zoom always goes to the top-middle of the screen.
    _Large Text_:
Large Text lets you make the text larger in alerts, and in Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and Notes. You can choose 20-point, 24-point, 32-point, 40-point, 48-point, or 56-point text.
Set the text size: In Settings, choose General > Accessibility, tap Large Text, then tap the text size you want.
I hope this has helped a little - other than this option I think it pretty much is what it is.
BTW - This information can be found on page 208 of the iPod Touch iOS 4.2 Users Guide.
    Best wishes..
    Ricky

  • News stand app on iPad 3

I have a new iPad 3. I can't get my news applications like USA Today, NPR etc into the apple News Stand app.  They keep downloading to my home screen and I can't manually move them there by trying to rearrange the icons. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

The News Stand app is not a "directory". It's an app that when you open it, you can get subscriptions to magazines and stuff.

  • How to auto sync new ipod apps to ipad?

    Hi,
I have automatic sync turned on for my ipad, and it syncs some of my newly downloaded apps. However, it doesn't auto sync others, which I have to manually click install for. I have a feeling these are ipod apps which it therefore doesn't associate with my ipad.
How can I automatically sync ALL my new apps?
    Thanks in advance,
    Primrose Moss

iCloud is your best option, see http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf#page17 to see how to set it up and the system requirements.

  • Is there a bug in news stand on the ipad ?

I have to national geographic  and cooking light magazines on both iphone and iPad.  The both load  correctly on iphone on iPad it sticks in notification and freeze the pad and requires reboot  to clear
I have tried deleting and reinstalling some issue persist. any ideas how correct would be helpful

I have the same problem some of the time. When I can get my magazine to load, it systematically crashes just as I reach the end of an article (I have yet to be able to finish reading one!). Furthermore, when I open the magazine, I get a notification saying that the issue may not display properly because I need to update the app. However, when I follow the update links, there is nothing there.
I am adding to your query in the hopes that somebody will notice these two issues with newstand bugs and crashes and answer us!

  • Bug in new Facebook App

I hope many had observed it when I post a status or comment on anyones status it says via mobile instead of Via IPhone. This was found in the latest Facebook app 3.5. Also there was no chat notifiacation also . Any body got the fix for this

Who said it's a bug?  Maybe it's designed like that.
And no,  nobody but the App's developer would have a fix for it.

  • How to install new itunes app on iPad 1

My itunes app just keeps crashing.  I've started the pad several times to no avail.  Should I uninstall the existing app and download a new one, and if so, how?

    Try this:
    1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
    2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

  • IOS 5 Reminders App Bug

I would like to report a bug with the Reminders app on iOS 5.1. I had this issue on iOS 5.0 and 5.0.1, but thought it should be fixed by now.
Here are the steps I take and what happens:
I create a new reminder, let's say "Pick up stuff from locker" on a certain day at 3 PM, and set it to remind me every day until I do it.
It reminds me every day at the right time, with no problems.
I finally get the reminder done, and pick up stuff from my locker. I then open the Reminders app.
I check the checkbox next to "Pick up stuff from locker", and wait a few seconds.
The reminder stays on the Reminders page. I swipe to the right to reveal the Completed page, and I see "Pick up stuff from locker" there.
I swipe back to the Reminders page, and STILL, the reminder "Pick up stuff from locker" is there, and this time it's unchecked.
I repeat steps (4) to (6) with no end in sight. At this point, I have duplicates of "Pick up stuff from locker" in the Completed page, but the reminder still will not disappear from the Reminders page. It's not until I actually have to manually delete all the duplcates AND the original reminder from the Reminders page do I see things go back to normal.
I think this is a serious bug, and I would like to see it finally fixed in the near future.

FYI, Apple doesn't read these posts.  You can give them your feedback & suggestions here:

  • Reminders app is Dismal

I can understand why having the Reminders app on the Mac would make new users moving from an iPad feel more at home.
But what about the rest of the Mac users that have been users for decades???
I think the problem I'm having is that the To Do lists (Reminders) have been removed from the right side of iCal (Calendar in Mountain Lion) in favor of this new dismal 2nd app strategy…  I see no reason why the new reminders app couldn't co-exist with Calendar and it's right side To Do list column so that we the users have the choice.
The Reminders app even has a "Calendar" in it, proving that Reminders should maybe still be in the Calendar app and not separated out.
Another problem is that if I use separate lists to organize Reminders, the app doesn't even have a way to see all my reminders at one time?  What a pain!   In iCal I could not only see all my reminders I could color coded them by Calendar (list).
Also, 99% of my Reminders never have any Time, Date or Location info associated with them, so the nice new notification center dos not show them and I'm stuck forgetting about them because they are out of sight hidden away in the new awful extra Reminders app…
On an iPad or iPhone with the limited screen sizes, I can see the need for separating the info out into another app, but the screen size of most Macs is not an issue so it makes no sense to take away what was working perfectly in favor of the iPad way of doing it.
The layout and function of iCal in Tiger was the best for Efficiency and Workflow and I would love to see that return.
The way it is now just makes me sad at how much time I wast at clicking extra buttons to edit things or swapping apps or windows around on screen.
    Very Sad.
    Anyone else feel the same?

I gave it a try for 30 days and altogh it is what Apples iCal/Calendar should be.  Some anoyances about it as well as the price made me end up not stick with it.  Things like the tab key moved between days instead of events,
Moves between events on mine, alway has,
There was a constant sync indicator blinking and spinning in the calendar list, etc.
I see the indicator during a Dav update or a Sync, but not constantly, only when things change
It just didn't feel polished enugh yet.
I don't share your opinion on that one.

  • How can I merge 'to dos' from SN iCal to 'reminders' app on ML

    Hi,
This is a question RE a clean install of ML ... moving from SL (which I did a few months back).
I have since noticed that there are a number of older 'to dos' that I need to refer to from before the upgrade. None if these were transferred over, b/c I did a clean install and rebuilt the system manually from my backups. I.e before I upgraded I exported my mail and calendar files (and still have a copy of them) and was wondering if there is an easy way for me to get all my to dos out of the old iCal?
I am worried that whatever I do now may put all my mail/etc out of sync (I use a few google accounts and store vaious mail on my Mac from other accounts).
In sum, now that Mac has moved to Reminders for to dos, is there any way I can import my older to dos into the new 'reminders' app do I can have them all in one app again?
Or  - are there any other suggestions ... apart from throwing in the towel and just going to MS Office?
    Cheers,
    Mark.

In Snow Leopard, add your iCloud account to Mail. This will link your To Do list in Mail to iCloud and the To Do items should appear in Reminders on iCloud. In Mountain Lion, sync Reminders to iCloud and hopefully you will get what you want. It works for me. I had a lot of trouble when I synced Address Book. Multiple Duplicates were created which was a pain to fix.
Snow Leopard iCloud - Address and iCal
    Snow Leopard iCloud –  iCal
    Snow Leopard iCloud – Mail

  • Does the new Directv App allow video through Airplay?

Anyone know if the new Directv app for iPad 2 allows video through airplay? I'm only getting audio when watching live TV and movies through the app. I found a few articles that indicated the app would allow videa through airplay, but it doesn't seem to be working. I wasn't sure if there was a setting I needed to change or something else I should be doing.

How did you import the photos?
Are the missing photos perhaps referenced? Then they cannot upload to iCloud.
You can check with a smart album, if you have any photos in the library, that cannot upload to iCloud.

  • Why is "due date" no longer an option in the reminders app?

The only radio buttons available when I try to create a reminder are to remind me on a day or at a location. This is not helpful, how do I get the due date radio button back? The whole purpose of reminders is make a "to do list" but if you can't add due dates it kinda defeats the purpose, especially if I need these items to appear on my calendar on the actual due date...not a reminder date. Any upcoming updates that will correct this flax in the new reminders app with Mountain Lion?

I am looking into a third party MPEG2 decoder.Your line of thought is a bit confusing. Compressor is an encoder and not (as far as I know) an MPEG-2 decoder. If you are migrating from a PPC G5 that had the old QT MPEG-2 component installed (i.e. v6.3 and before) to an Intel G5, then you simply need to update your QT component to the newer v6.4 QT MPEG-2 component. Assuming you purchased the original component from online from Apple, all you need to do is go to your software download area and re-download the current package which now contains both v6.3 and v6.4 universal binary components.
If, on the other hand, you really want a third-party MPEG-2 encoder, my preference is the Innobits "bitVice Pro" application. Would buy it myself if I did not already have the old Apple MPEG-2 encode component, Compressor, Toast, and iVCD already installed. (Just too cheap to spend the $349 for something I already have even if I do believe it has the best output I've seen.)
