Bug report - Copy page with IR raises ORA-3113

Apex 3.1.2.00.02 on Oracle 9.2.0.8
When I copy a page with an IR using the Copy Page wizard (from page X to Y in the same app), I get the following error in the Apache log
I don't change a single thing in the Copy Page Wizard, just accept all the defaults and click Finish and that's when wwv_flow.accept crashes.

As a workaround, I created a Blank page and used the Copy Region wizard to copy the IR region over to the blank page. Same error. Looks like this particular IR's metadata is somehow corrupted?
Help? Thanks

I can try. I rarely use the Builder UI to import applications because it is extremely painfu land usually never works but with apex.oracle.com I don't have a choice.
First, I used the Import function to install my app. After a long time, I got an error
But the file was already uploaded so I went to the Export/Import repository and clicked on the Install link. I chose the auto assign a new app id and clicked Install and after a long time I got this error.
So I used the browser's Back button to go back a couple of screens and clicked the Install button and got this error
Just on a whim, I went to the Builder home page and voilà the application was already there! Hopefully, the import function will be improved soon. But I digress.
Anyway, I am not able to reproduce this. The Copy Page functions works fine on apex.oracle.com. Looks like it is indeed a 9.2 bug. I will see if dropping and re-importing the app helps.
Thanks

  • Bug report: Copy page - Highlight report keyword

    Minor bug
I have a page with a report region and a search text field P1_SEARCH and this is used as &P1_SEARCH. in the Highlight words attribute of some of the report columns.
When I use the Copy Page wizard to copy this to Page 2, the wizard creates the P2_SEARCH item but the Report Column attributes still refer to &P1_SEARCH. so the highlighting doesn't work.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
just discovered, that the "Copy Page Wizard" doesn't copy the "Static ID" of regions.

Those type of sites usually rely on JavaScript to work. You can normally close the site by temporarily disabling JavaScript. To do that, in the Tools menu select Options to open the Options dialog. go to the content panel and de-select the "Enable JavaScript" setting. You should then be able to close the site. You can re-enable JavaScript afterwards.

  • SQL*Plus Raises: ORA-3113 End of file on communication channel

I have a Win2000 machine running Oracle client 8i, connecting to an HP-UX server running 9i RAC, with an unknown collection of switches/firewalls in between. Using SQL*Plus I can successfully connect and run queries. However, if I leave the session idle for some time, approximately 15 minutes (though this varies), the next query I execute hangs for a few seconds, then returns with ORA-3113.
I have enabled client-side tracing (ADMIN level). The following extract shows the point at which an error first occurs:

    ntt2err: soc 660 error - operation=5, ntresnt[0]=517, ntresnt[1]=54, ntresnt[2]=0
This apparently indicates that the network timed out, a sign of a busy network.
    Can anyone:
    a) Confirm this or otherwise;
    b) Suggest how I may go about proving this to a corporate network operations team;
    Cheers, Si.

I think the reason can be timeout on one of the firewalls. Network administrators
    quite often configure following setting:
"Disconnect idle connection after 15 minutes" - I facedd this problem several
    times.

  • Bug? - Submitting page with html name attribute in content

    Hello,
I use a modified version of Task Manager to track tasks in my group at work. I wanted a "non-standard" report to show the users the history of their task at the bottom of a page. Basically I created a PL/SQL function that returns preformatted HTML as I would like it to be displayed in a row of the report. The end result is great - a highly customized report layout with little effort.
The problem is that recently a user copied and pasted some HTML from another web application into the body of a task and saved it. The next time the task was opened my report at the bottom displayed what they had entered previously. However, this time when the user clicked save and submitted the page, he got a page can not be displayed error. After a little digging, I found that the HTML the user had pasted previously contained an HTML element that had a name attribute. When I removed the name attribute, the page submitted fine which leads me to believe that the ApEx engine tried to bind the value of that item with an application item and it choked when no match was found - similar to the way it chokes if you submit a valid item that contains more than 32767 bytes of information.
The fix for my situation is simple. I'll use regular expressions to find these name attributes when saving the page and strip them out. I only bring it up because it could possibly effect other users that might not be able to figure out what the problem is.

    Dan,
Part of the data stream being emitted to the page is:
    < input type="hidden" name="_ctl0:_ctl34:_ctl0:dgCriteria" value="_ctl0:_ctl34:_ctl0:dgCriteria" ...
Since your report does not escape the data, it gets interpreted by the browser as HTML -- a form input item in this case. And yes, modplsql complains because that name cannot be bound to a PL/SQL input parameter in the form-handling procedure.
The correct way to handle this generic problem (second-order cross-site scripting) is to always escape output to the browser unless you control the content from origin to the time it is emitted.

  • Bug? Copy page within an application not updating everything

We have a ApEx (Version 2.0.0.00.49) application, and it was decided to rearrange the pages to fit a better numbering scheme for maintenance purposes. Not a problem, as we copy each page to the new page number, then delete the old one. However, we found when this was done, the new pages were broken. Specifically:
    1. If you page contained a branch to itself the page number was not updated properly. For example, most of our pages have an "On Submit: After Processing (Unconditional)" branch back to the same page. This branch was created by the page creation wizard. After copying the page, the branch was not updated to the new page number, but rather still pointed to the old (now deleted) page.
    2. The reset page (Clear Cache for all items on pages) process source are not updated. If you have a process item for Clear Cache (we have one for the delete item process to refresh the report query). The Source Process item, which based upon what the wizards create, is the page number (or a list of page numbers). Again, since this is not update, the reset page process clears the cache for the old (now deleted) page.

I don't think this is a bug. It is possible that you want to copy a page and retain information for branches and processes to the old page number. These are just a couple things that you'll need to change manually after a page copy.
I guess the point is that when a page gets copied it's not always going to be obvious what needs to happen to things like branches and processes - so they'll need a little attention after copying to get them working properly again.

  • Bug report - different episodes with same names won't update correctly in the list of pcast-episodes

I think there was no similar report yet. Sorry if repeated.
I use podcasts app only on my iPad - no iTunes syncing or whatsoever - as simple as possibly could be in terms of functionality.
Background: I am subscribed to a posdcast of a radiostation programme where weekly usually same people give interviews. For example, each Tuesday the guy named A.B. is a guest of the programme. So each Tuesday episode almost always named: Interview - A.B. So 09.10.2012 there was episode named: Interview - A.B. then 15.10.2012 there is also an episode named Interview - A.B.
Problem: even though in the list of episodes I can see these two each with correct date stamp, when I tap 15.10.12 episode to play, it would play the previous episode (of 09.10.2012). I know it's the podcasts app bug, because good old iPod app would play everything correctly.
    That's shamy.

Very similar problem for me.  A podcast has several different episodes per day broken down by hour.  It will totally mix up the files and names and descriptions, seemingly grabbing them from random days surrounding what it should be.  Sometimes two simlarly named files will play the same audio.  It's totally messed up.  I can't figure out any pattern for this either.
Although I'm sure it happens for podcast episodes with titles that are not similar as well.

  • @microsoft - Bug report - Still problems with Fullscreen in Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0.12 (Build 25282) MAC

The problem with full screen is still there, even though mentioned as a bug fix - But it has improved. When opening RDC first time You have to click full screen twice to get i to full screen. When You don't close RDC program and connect again full screen
is OK, but if You're ending RDC program and connecting again, its the same problem again.
At least problems with the program crashing was solved a couple of versions ago - Thanks for that :)

    Hi Kim,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Do you still face that issue on your all device or single device?
Have you tried using URI scheme?
You can set the URI scheme and also set the screen according to your wish and you will find good result at first.

  • [bug report] Making selection with pen tool causes 'jittery' edge

When I use the pen tool to create a path, and then make a selection from it and select inverse and delete the background, the result is a very un-even edge not the clean resullt you would expect, however if I make a mask from the same selection it looks fine.
    Steps to recreate
    1. Draw a simple path with the pen tool
    2. Make a selection from the path, with 0 feather and anti alias turned on
    3. Inverse selection (optional, same thing happens if you don't inverse)
    4. Delete the rest of the image
    5. The edge of the image now has an uneven, jittery edge
    compared to mask
    5. Undo the delete
    6. Go to Channel Pallette, and make a mask from the selection
    7. Edge of the mask should be clean like you would expect
You can exaggerate the jittery effect by adding feather the the path selection

Ok please Delete this I've sorted it. The blending mode had jumped to disolve.... but I 100% didn't change it to this myself, I wasn't even in the layer pallette at the time

So far, i just replaced my old ORACLE JDBC driver jar file with a new version. Of course, i use the classes12.jar to be used by JDK 1.3. This worked for all the 9.xxx Drivers. Now, i tried to use the classes12.jar from the new "10g" Driver (10.1.0.2.0) but it doesn't work anymore. The first simple SELECT statement throws this error:

  • Sending a bug report on the OS and a sleep mode problem.

I find the bug button in Safari really convenient for sending Apple bug reports. And when other applications crash, you usually get an error dialog with a button to send a bug report. But sometimes problems arise that require reporting, but which don't fall in either of these categories. It would be very handy to have a bug "button" for the OS, or perhaps just a menu selection in the Finder menu bar that invokes a bug report dialog box. I know you can dig around and find the URL for Apple's bug report web page, but I am always forgetting it -- I suppose I could just bookmark it, but then I'd just have to dig around in all the bookmarks to find it. Better would be a utility built-in to the OS for sending bug reports (like Safari's). It could also automatically transfer necessary info about the OS rev and such.
The problem I had was this. I have a script that puts my iMac to sleep. I put the script alias on the task bar and a single click puts the computer to sleep (easier than using the menu). Unfortunately, I sometimes click it by mistake when I am trying to click an adjacent icon in the task bar, and the Mac starts going through its cycle to enter sleep mode and is impervious to anything I do to try and cancel it. I tried pressing the space bar continuously to prevent it from going to sleep, but that did not work. Worse, when it went to sleep and I woke it up again, the task bar would not appear, clicking on app windows did not activate them, Finder menus could not be selected, etc. The cursor would move, but I could not do anything else. (I wish now I had noted if the clock in the menu bar was still advancing, but I didn't think to do that.) I powered down the iMac from the power key and rebooted. Things are working fine now.
I wanted to send a bug report on this, but realized that unlike Safari, there was no button or menu selection for doing that. So here I am.
    Any suggestions are welcome.
    TIA,
    Drake

  • Since I can not log in bug report page, not even getting an error message, I'll write all my issues with ios8 here...

Since I can not log in bug report page, not even getting an error message, I'll write all my issues with ios8 here... I have an iphone 4S and I did the last update. Now I am in trouble.
    1. When I move the "sound on/off" button, I get it buzzing 10 times before the setting is changed and I can do anything else, just not reacting to the round button on screen touches.
    2. Impossible to copy text from most websites into notes.
    3. Impossible to delete an email account in settings.
    4. Uses up the battery twice as fast as before. I have "update apps" setting turned off, just reading a couple of mails, making a couple of photos and open maps apps twice a day, and the battery is dead well before the evening.
    5. Got extremely slow, and it was getting slower and slower with every system update.
I'm sure I forgot something... But well, that already a lot.

Well, actually number 3 in my list is not true any more, I just tried to delete my account 15 times, then I've written my post, then half an hour later my Settings finally updated my accounts list. Whohoo
I did not try restoring it yet, thank you for the link!

  • Copy page will fail with ORA:6502 if summ. length of authschemenames 250

    Hi!
    using APEX 2.2.1 or 3.0 :
In AppBuilder 4000:627 i get ORA 6502 when trying to copy a page into another app. with multiple existing authorization
schemes. The errorpoint is at the selection of old and new authorization schemes.
Our destination app uses 36 authorization-schemes.
The summarized length of all scheme-names (+CR) is about 560 characters.
    -- Show all scheme-names
    select AUTHORIZATION_SCHEME_NAME from APEX_APPLICATION_AUTHORIZATION
    where APPLICATION_ID=:APP_ID
-- count the schemes to :ANZ
    select count(*)from APEX_APPLICATION_AUTHORIZATION
    where APPLICATION_ID=:APP_ID
    -- show the summarized length
    select sum(length(AUTHORIZATION_SCHEME_NAME)) + :ANZ from
    APEX_APPLICATION_AUTHORIZATION
    where APPLICATION_ID=:APP_ID
If the summarized length exceeds 250, the copyprocess will fail!
All objects on the copied page (often >50) have to be reviewed.
    SR number 6320088.993.
The problem can be reproduced on htmldb.oracle.com. For details check SR.

    Right.
There are 3 ways to use CSS:
Inline: styles applied to the  HTML code between the <body> tags.  This is not usually recommended.
Embedded:  inside  <style> and </style> tags between the  <head> tags in your HTML document. This code is applied to only one page.
External: a physical file that contains nothing but CSS code and applies to all site pages that are linked to it.
If you have a unique style you want to use on a single page, either use embedded CSS (in the HTML document itself) or set up a unique class in your external stylesheet.
    CSS classes:
    .center {text-align:center}
    .right {text-align:right}
    .left {text-align:left}
    HTML:
    <p class="center"> this is centered text</p>
