Bug: Temp files with 0-Byte size are not removed after PDF export

When exporting to PDF through the CR-API (CRPE) the temporary files epfHHHH.tmp and ctmHHHH.tmp in the windows temporary path (with HHHH = hexadecimal number with 4 digits) are not deleted when they are 0-Byte in size - even after closing the application which called the CRPE-API. When HHHH reaches its limit (hex FFFF = dec 65535) the Crystal Reports DLLs are not able to create more PDFs - the export aborts with an error and the PDFs are 0-Byte in size.
This behaviour was tested/reproduced with Crystal Reports 8.5, but (as many other long-term bugs) might be also exist in later releases of Crystal Reports as well as on the other SDK interfaces.
KBase Article ID:2009412, Track ID: ADAPT00011016 and Escalation ID: 1472 describes a solution for this problem and Business Objects says that using Crxf_pdf.dll, version 8.6.0.108, dated 04/25/2002 or later solves the problem. We are using a newer one from 2003 (version 8.6.2.429) and still see this problem. It seems that 0-Byte-Files are ommitted from the deletion.
Does anybody know a workaround or solution for this bug?

LCRs in queue in source Database are not removed after propagation

Hello,
I am using Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition 10.2.0.3 databases with Linux in VMware virtual machines. Replication (master-slave) with Streams does it's job quite well, but LCRs in the source queue are not removed after propagation.
I think this is because the apply process cannot send the notification after applying LCRs. does anyone know if Oracle Streams use a different port (different from standard listener port 1521) for the notifications?
For some stupid reason I have to run my virtual machine with a NAT network, so I have to do port-forwarding for every single port the VM needs to use. Does anyone know any more ports than Listener (1521) and EnterpriseManager (1158) I need? Any other suggestions?

Hello again,
When I wrote "notification" I wanted to write "acknowledgement". So again: does anyone know, how acknowledgements are sent by the apply process (which port)? And when I am right, they are sent to the propagation process, which gives another acknowledgement to the capture process. Does anyone know how this second acknowledgement ist sent?

Some encoded files with subtitle and other are not

I just encoded a few videos files with Nokia Video Manager. and all files b4 encoding are with subtitles(*.smi) in one same folder. I played encoded files and some results are with subtitles. (I didn't set up the video manager program to inserted the subtitles into final encoded files. also there is no option I can make insert subtitles in). and rest of files are not with subtitles. now I wanna make all files with subtitles. how make all files with subtitles?

Short answer is I don't know.
The way I get files with Subtitles is by Ripping the DVD with ImTOO DVD ripper, in the selections I select the audio track and Subtitle from the DVD to be used during the encoding. Then the resulting video has the subtitles built in.
I can't get Nokia Video Manager to work reliably for me so I don't use it.

Files are not deleted after auto export

Hi folks,
I am using Oracle UCM 11gPS6 in Redhat Linux 5 OS.I have set automatic export based on certain docType.While setting this export,I have marked "Delete files after revisions".
But when I automate this process,files are not getting deleted.
Am I missing something or is this feature not available in this product?
Any help will be appreciated.

App updates are not removed after installing in update screen of iPhone and iPad

Whenever there is an update for an app, the same is displayed in the update screen of the App Store in both iPhone and iPad. After downloading and installing the patch, the app is not removed from the update screen. In earlier iOS versions, the same gets removed and only the pending apps for update remain.
Questions:
Is this a bug?
Will this not increase the update screen list of patch updates over time?
Why are the updated patches not removed from the update screen?

This is not a bug.
The updated apps will start disappearing after about two weeks (on a first in first out basis)

Hyperlinks from converted excel file are not working after pdf file is moved

I have created a pdf file from an excel file that has hyperlinks in it. The hyperlinks work fine if the files are all kept in the same exact location as the time they were created. Once the files are moved (i.e. emailed to another user) the hyperlinks no longer work. An error message pops up that the file can not be found. Is there a setting or something that I'm missing in acrobat that allows for the files to be moved, so that the hyperlinks still function properly, after creation

No settings adjustments.
The issue is that links, once made, have a specific path (as shown when you view the link's text string).
When you email the files the person who recieves the email and downloads the attachments would have to have the same layout of files/folders you have.
Without that links are "broken"
You email a zip file that, when extracted, would create the folders/files in the required layout to reflect what you have.

How do I delete music files 0n my iphone that are not removed by itunes?

I have been unable to clear some of my music files off of my iphone since loading IOS 5. When I use my synce to remove all music some files remain. New files I have added since installing IOS5 I can add and delet fine. The ones that were installed by restore when IOS5 was loaded will not delete leving me with duplicates when I try to reinstall new purchase.

You can delete songs directly from the iPhone.
Tap the Music tab in the Dock.
Now swipe to the left or right once. You should see a red delete button.

You've checked to see if they are still on your Mac, just not in your iTunes library ? If you are in a country where films can be re-downloaded and they are still in the store then they should show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes. If they have 'downloaded' against them there, as opposed to the cloud symbol, then do you still have them listed in your iTunes library (where you would click on them to play them) ? If you do then try deleting those entries from your library and they should get the cloud symbol.
If you can't re-download them then do you have copies of them on your backup of your library ? Scan gives me a file with o bytes?

For some reason, when I scan an image to my computer, I get a preview image after the scan that looks fine, I right click to send it to my computer, but when I go to open the file, it has 0 bytes and I can't of course open it. I tried installing the update software from this site and it hasn't fixed anything with the issue. Not sure what I can do. The image I was scanning is an ink drawing, and previously they scanned fine. Likewise, I just scanned a piece of paper with just some letters and a few lines on it and it worked, giving me a file with a few KB of info in it. What the heck is going on?

I understand that you are getting a scan file with zero bytes, with your HP Deskjet 3050 AIO on Mac OS X 10.7. I am happy to help!
For further assistance, I will need to know:
The name of the program you are scanning with.
If you can make copies with your printer. Copy Text or Mixed Documents.
If the printer is connected. Wireless or USB.

You can search for recovery programs but most likely if it a temp file is not an image file. You could also try renaming the file to have an image file type and try to open with Photoshop. Again its most likely not an image file. Photoshop only supports some image files formats.

Yes. The extent size of SQL Server data files, and the max log block size have not changed with the new versions, so the guidance should remain the same.

Okay what does this term mean:

I am playing with transitions. I have two clips with enough handles.
I'm using the gradient wipe and putting a Photoshop file in the "well".
That message pops up in the timeline when I'm stopped at that place in the timeline (similar to the media offline message). When I try to render the effect, the same message appears and doesn't even attempt to render.

The image is RGB...
The image itself is a blue circle over a transparent background. That's the only layer.
I did change it to a jpg file, and I stopped getting the error message...but obviously I also lost the alpha channel.

I haven't contacted AHA about this issue. The .jpg files created on Canon SLR uploaded correctly, but the photo from iPhone which was emailed to my PC using MS IE. The .jpg was browsed to from my desktop and is submitted. It shows up in draft form then when uploading it fails saying it is not a .jpg file or .png file? I have had other issues in the past emailing iPhone pictures. They were not editable after being sent to a PC. I guess we can retake photos with a non-Apple camera.

I am running the latest iTunes, the latest updates to the OS and on an iMac 3.4GHz Quad core i7 with 8GB of RAM and the music stored on local HDD.
Still locks up iTunes for between 2 minutes up to 20 minutes.
Really annoying.
If you find a fix please, please let me know, I have just been throwing hardware at it with no joy at all

Why is it when I save an email with attachments, the attachments are not in the saved email?

Does anyone know why it is when you save an email that has images (attachments) when you go to access the file again with the images, they are not in the document?
The box marked "save attachments" is ticked?

Is this your Apple account or some other mail?
And are they all in the Inbox of your Mail? If so, rebuild the mailbox. If this is huge, it'll take some time.
IF the images are HUGE, it'll take time to download them from the server to your computer. But once done they should remain there without the need to do anything at all (by default they are already saved).
To click the Save button is to save them somewhere on your hard drive ... maybe to offload elsewhere later.
Actually, you could just as easily save them to iPhoto instead of using Mail to look for and view them. Its a much faster viewing process, and you could set them up by dealers, artists, etc. ... or so I think.
