Bug With iTunes 6 cut and paste?

I've just installed iTunes 6, when I try to cut and paste lyrics into the lyrics box, it doubles the paste (it does it twice). I'm not having this problem in any other app, and I've rebooted, and it is still happening. Very very very annoying. Has anyone else had this problem. Is there a work around? I've replicated the problem on my G5 desktop.

Yes, but that was posted before 6.0.1, and they didn't fix it in 6.0.1...
He did not say it would be in the next update (6.0.1) which cam out very quickly, but that it would be fixed in a future update. At least you know they are aware of the problem and are working on it.

How can I re-order the pages in my document with having to cut and paste everything?

Hello, I have a larger sized document and I need to reorder the sections of my document. However there are many images so cut-paste seems to screw up my formatting since pages like to move text around automatically but not images (like if I hit backspace until the text goes back to the previous page, the images will stay on the same page without moving back).
On the previous version of pages (pages' 09 I believe) I could simply click and drag the page thumbnails around. However I cannot seem to be able to do this in Pages'13... Am I missing something here?

Pages '09 offered two types of documents.
Word processing documents included a text layer, and consisted of sections made up of multiple pages. If no section breaks were inserted, a fifty page document could consist of a single section. Text could be placed directly into the text layer, and Objects could be placed on the page as Floating Objects, independent of the text, and able to make text flow around themselves, or could be placed as Inline Objects, inserted into the line of text running from beginning to end of the document, and moving with the text as it was edited.
In a Page Layout document, each page was a single section. There was no text layer, so only objects could be placed on the page. Any text had to be contained in a Text box or in a Shape. Unless grouped, each object was independent of the others.
Changing your images from Floating to Inline objects may be the key to your document rearranging issues. They can be changed back to Floating after being moved to theor new locations.

Cut and Paste Photos iphoto 09

I was experiencing the same problem like the one described in the archived topic with the title "CUT AND PASTE PHOTOS" (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1897601&tstart=120). In few words I wasn't able to cut and paste a picture as when I tried to paste the picture to another event the right click paste command was grey.
I finally figured out a solution. In the 'Photos' in the Source list select the photo you would like to move, then right click and select cut. Select 'Events' in the Source list (left column), select the event you want to move the photos, the event will open in the photo library mode and you will be able to right click and paste the photo.
This doesn't work for Copy. Although paste is not grey, the photo can not move.

The reason you can't cut and paste into another Event is that when you cut the photo goes into iPhoto's Trash bin and you can't paste because a photo can be in only one Event at a time.
You can move a photo from one event to another by clicking and dragging.

Cut and Paste Bug with SUM( )

If SUM( ) refers to multiple ranges, and one of those ranges is Cut and then Pasted to another location, the SUM( ) function is not changed to reflect the new location of those Cut and Pasted cells. Instead, SUM( ) continues to refer to the original locations.
I tried this in Excel and it works well.

Here's exactly what I did except for the part where I created the worst illustrator art that I've ever seen. Just two layers, lovely colors. The .ai file is imported as a comp with retain layer sizes selected. A black brush is chosen set to write on and silhouette luma. The size is adjusted to cover the line easily, I paint on the line, press the e key to reveal the effect in the timeline. It's there, it's also in the ECW so I select the effect, cut it, go to the composition, use Cmnd+Y to create a new layer and paste Cmnd + V and the paint effect is applied to the solid.
There's something going on with your machine, some third party plug-in, some other app, some other issue that's preventing this from working.
Here's my little movie of the whole experiment.
I'd make sure that your AE version is the latest, that you have your memory and processing set to the defaults, and that you're not running any other apps while testing AE. If there's still a problem, file a bug. Your machine is not behaving as my machine and every other Mac I routinely work on is behaving.

No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

Before anyone cuts and pastes the info from Apple support in response to this, I have already tried those steps. iTunes simply states that it cannot do anything since the iPad is locked with a passcode. I cannot access iCloud to use that specific advice as iCloud will not let me sign in; a message keeps coming up reading that there is an error with the server. Remote Swipe? Not sure. It is three hours later, and I am no further.
What else can I do? I never had a passcode set up when I first got my iPad. I would have bypassed this with the installation of iOS 7 if I had known about this.

I have tried downloading several fonts, including those from professional societies, but the only way to get Hebrew in my document is to cut and paste. Does anyone know how to fix this? I use an older MacBook running OS 10.9.1. I used to do my Hebrew work in Word, but it is no longer supported by Mac OS.

Just clarifying:
Pages '09 has bad support for Hebrew, Arabic etc but will accept pasted text.
Pages 5 has much better support but with bugs.
If you have columns they are in the wrong order ie Text starts in the left column and ends in the right column.
If you type English into Hebrew text it tends to fall in the wrong position eg instead of to the left of Hebrew punctuation it goes to the right.
As Tom recommends the only real solution on the Mac is Mellel.

Two ways.
- You can sync with the new computer by following these instructions

All the apps have to be in the iTunes library so the app data will have a place to go.
- Or just restore from iCloud backup. That will also pull down the apps from iCloud. Your apps data will also be restored.

Mac Word 2008 Cut-And-Paste broken with DW CS3

The title pretty much says it all - something is failing in
the process of cutting text from a MS Word 2008 (Mac) document into
Dreamweaver CS3. Nothing gets transferred.
I can cut text from Word and paste into other text editors
(BBEdit, TextMate, TextEdit) without any problem... and can then
cut and paste that into DW... but, of course, all formatting
information is stripped - which isn't always a bad thing: this is
Word, after all...
Cut-and-paste from Word 2004 worked OK. It's a strange thing
to have break... and it's odd to me that Word got out of beta with
this, given the fact that Dreamweaver is as popular as it
is.

Well, I can't give any dates, but it's not any time in the
next few
months.
If I figure out an easy workaround, I'll let you know
directly.

Cut and paste bug

Im having an issue with cut and paste commands. I can't paste anything unless I copy first then cut. If I cut then try to paste edit>paste will be shaded out and commandX does nothing. Sometimes its not shaded out but will paste what I have previously copied.
I found this out during a tutorial in which I had to cut and paste an effects paint layer to a new solid.
Im using CS5.5 on Macbook pro i7 8GB OSX 10.7.2.
So far I have tried - resetting preferences on start up. - Edit> purge >all. - Turning off system shortcuts. -Rebooting. None of these have made a difference. Anyone else had or having this issue? Any advise on what I should do next to try and resolve? Cheers.

Cut and paste bug within Symbols - anyone else?

I've come across a bug in Illustrator CS6. When I cut and paste content from within a symbol into the same or another symbol it pastes all the content from that symbol into it again.
Anyone else having this issue?
I can provide screenshots to help explain.

Same issue here, this is a major problem for me as i use symbols all the time. First time i've had the issue with CS6 - maybe it was always there....
If i cut some text from selected text inside a symbol and paste that text back into another symbol, all the text contained within the first symbol gets pasted even though it was not seletced!

M…oSoft products aren't allowed on my machines but I use LibreOffice which is a clone of Office.
When I export from Numbers to Excel and open the result with LibreOffice, the dates are correctly treated.
To be precise, dates after 01/01/1904 are correctly treated. dates before 01/01/1904 are exported as strings but, as it's flagged during the export process, it's not surprising.

If the right-click context menu allows copy/cut and paste with the two add-ons disabled, then one or both of them is causing the issue. Re-enable the extensions one-at-a-time, restart Firefox and test. When the problem returns, you will know which is the culprit.

I was so frustated from this issue that I used to use Windows iTunes for mass editing info, adding Lyrics etc and then transfering songs to Mac. This tip has alleviated my pain!!

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...
