Building glib-2.40 to prefix=/opt get (lidbir): No such file

Am building glib-2.40 to prefix=/opt, getting:
libtool: link: cannot determine absolute directory name of `(libdir)'
using configure commands:
LIBS=/opt/lib &&
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/lib &&
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/opt/lib/pkgconfig &&
GTKDOC_DEPS_LIBS=/opt/lib &&
LIBDIR=/opt/lib &&
libdir=/opt/lib &&
./configure --prefix=/opt --exec-prefix=/opt -libdir=/opt/lib
Seems libdir not getting defined in libtool; causes gobject to fail to build.
In libtool:
line 5997
func_resolve_sysroot "$func_stripname_result"
dir=$func_resolve_sysroot_result
# We need an absolute path.
case $dir in
[\\/]* | [A-Za-z]:[\\/]*) ;;
absdir=`cd "$dir" && pwd`
test -z "$absdir" && \
func_fatal_error "cannot determine absolute directory name of \`$dir'" <<< fails here <<<<
dir="$absdir"
esac
Any help appreciated.

Hi,I also get the same problem when I cross compilig the glib.
Then,I finally solved the problem by set the LIBFFI_LIBS and LIBFFI_CFLAGS.
My problem was because I just build libffi simply, but it need to fix to install header in the right place (/usr/include) and modify the /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libffi.pc .

• Opening Build Specification - Error 7 occurred at Get LV Class Default Value.vi

I recently ported my project to a new PC. Everything seems to run fine uncompiled, and I am able to build an executable without issue. However, my build specification shows up in the project explorer with question mark next to it. When I try to build again or edit the properties I get a popup with the information below:
Error 7 occurred at Get LV Class Default Value.vi
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: File not found. The file might be in a different location or deleted. Use the command prompt or the file explorer to verify that the path is correct.
=========================
NI-488: Nonexistent GPIB interface.
Complete call chain:
Get LV Class Default Value.vi
AB_UI_Initialize_Framework.vi
AB_UI_FRAMEWORK.vi
AB_Item_OnDoProperties.vi
AB_Item_OnDoProperties.vi.ProxyCaller
LabVIEW attempted to load the class at this path:
<Empty Path>
I've seen messages from people getting the same error when trying to run a compiled executable, but mine actually runs fine. I am just unable to open the build specification to rebuild or edit its properties.

This application is for a Windows machine, and I am not using the Report Generation Toolkit. However, I shut down my computer last night and when I booted it up this morning my Build Specification now opens fine and I am able to edit it. My only thought as to why it occured in the first place is that I had added several files to user.lib and instr.lib and restarted LabVIEW, but it appears that it required my computer to be restarted as well.

• Phone updated to build 3.26.605.1, Now I get "Force Close" on most apps

Recently my incredible Rebooted.
When it came back it said "Software Updated to build 3.26.605.1"
Now I get "Force Close" on most apps including the Android market.
What is this build & how do I get rid of it !!!
PS: this phone is 12 months old with no problems until today.

I am having the same problem. I got some kind of a notification a couple of weeks ago that there was a component update available (can't remember the words but a puzzle piece showed up in the status bar), but I ignored it at the time. About a week later (1st week of May) my Incredible crashed and rebooted while using Nav, then it went into a reboot loop until I pulled the battery. When it came back, most of my apps Forced Closed on me and I lost all of my contacts and stuff. This did not make me happy.
I restored the contacts via backup assistant (thank you) and then had to un-install and re-install all my broken apps. The phone still doesn't feel right after this (sorry, that's subjective and unclear, but it's just not it's old self.) Then this last Saturday, we're driving down the road and I'm using tethering with a Netbook (I have the tethering plan) and the phone crashes and loops again. Again, I have to pull the battery. Again, most of my apps force-close. A little further down the road (haven't had a chance to reload apps yet) it crashes and boot-loops again, forcing me to remove the battery.
If I check to see if the software is up to date, the phone says it is. My baseband version is 2.15.00.07.28, my kernel version is 2.6.32.17-g9a2fc16, and the build number is 3.26.605.1 CL264707 release-keys.
Everything as fine before this, I was a happy user. Now, the phone software seems very brittle.

Here once again a failed attempt after removing pacman-color. I am beginning to think that maybe running yaourt as sudo is probably a bad idea. I think that may have had something to do with it.

Quite confusing statements. Below sHyLoCk recommends http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=37738 on June 2 2010 and on June 27 he declares his recommended package obsolet and ask a TU to delete! The problem with the sHyLoCk package is there is not page setup option. So I installed this package, it has got the page setup menu, but once I click the option, the application dies with the following output (Maybe helpful to debug for the maintainer, I am not an expert):

• How can I get a single jar file with NetBeans?

How can I get a single jar file with NetBeans?
When I create the project I get these files:
dist/lib/libreria1.jar
dist/lib/libreria2.jar
dist/software.jar
The libraries that have been imported to create the project are in separate folders:
libreria1/libreria1.jar
libreria2/libreria2.jar
libreria1, libreria2, dist folders are all located inside the project folder.
I added the following code to the build.xml:
<target name="-post-jar">
<jar jarfile="dist/software.jar">
<zipfileset src="${dist.jar}" excludes="META-INF/*" />
<zipfileset src="dist/lib/libreria1.jar" excludes="META-INF/*" />
<zipfileset src="dist/lib/libreria2.jar" excludes="META-INF/*" />
<manifest>
<attribute name="Main-Class" value="pacco.classeprincipale"/>
</manifest>
</jar>
</target>
Of course there is also the project folder:
src/pacco/classeprincipale.form
src/pacco/classeprincipale.java
Can you tell me what is wrong? The error message I get is as follows:
C:...\build.xml:75: Problem creating jar: archive is not a ZIP archive BUILD FAILED (total time: 2 seconds)

This is not a NetBeans forum, it is a JDeveloper forum. You might want to try http://forums.netbeans.org/. I also saw your other question - try looking in the New to Java forum: New To Java

• Cant get com.apple.security.files.user-selected.read-only entitlement to work

Hey I am curious how can I get the .ipa compiled file for iOS to be able to read all the directories on the iPhone?
I made a file browser but I cant get to the pictures
I tried adding the entitlements in Flash Builder 4.6 in the descriptor file like this:
<key>com.apple.security.files.user-selected.read-only</key>
<true/>
<key>com.apple.security.assets.movies.read-only</key>
<true/>
<key>com.apple.security.assets.pictures.read-only</key>
<true/>
in the
<iPhone>
<Entitlements>
<![CDATA[
I got Push notifications working and accepted in the app store but it can't read the pictures directory when browsing for a file
I know the app id and stuff is set up right or I wouldnt have been able to get it accepted in the app store. In the entitlements area of course I have the application identifier set and aps-environment and keychain access groups and whatnot set up right.
When I try to put the app onto the iPhone with iTunes it just says 'Entitlements are not valid' (does not mention anything about mismatched ids) I can't find anything about how to add this entitlement and I could have sworn I saw a thing that said I can just use the descriptor file to add entitlements in some of the documentation I have it set to use air 3.4
Is there something I am doing wrong, how do I get apple to just put these entitlements in the mobileprovision file, I cant seem to edit it, if I do I also get an error in itunes that is some hex code...

Did you ever solve your problem?
I just transfered my web hosting and e-mail to bluehost. I had some of the same problems you are having. I noticed you have your incoming server set to bluehost.
Incoming mail server: (SSL) box610.bluehost.com (sever requires authentication which I already have done)
If bluehost is your server this is what worked for me:
Account Information
Account type— POP
Description—anything you want
Email Address—in your case would be
Full name— first and last name
Incoming server—mail.magnus.com
User name— Notice it is the @ symbol not a +
password— your password . Remember they are case sensitive
Outgoing Mail server—select edit smpt server list from the drop down window
select the + to add a server
Account Information
Description—may be left blank
Server name—mail.magnus.com
TSL Certificate—None
Advanced
Use default ports
Check Use SSL
Authenticate—password
Username—
passowrd—your password
Click ok
In the accounts window
Outgoing SMTP— select the server you just created.
Check—use only this server
Select the Advance tab next to the Mailbox Behaviors
Check use SSL— it will be port 995
Authenticate —use password

• Getting "No such file or directory" when executing existing binary

Heya,
I'm currently trying to get hpasm to run, but after installing I have some strange issue.
The binary is there but I can't execute it:
[florian@moody ~]$ ls -l /usr/sbin/hpasmcli
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 Oct 14 23:30 /usr/sbin/hpasmcli -> /opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli
[florian@moody ~]$ ls -l /opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 131896 Oct 14 23:30 /opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli
[florian@moody ~]$ /opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli
bash: /opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli: No such file or directory
Running ldd and file on it also looks strange:
[florian@moody ~]$ ldd /opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli
not a dynamic executable
[florian@moody ~]$ file /opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli
/opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, for SuSE 9.1, not stripped
strace reveals execve() returns ENOENT:
[florian@moody ~]$ strace /opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli
execve("/opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli", ["/opt/compaq/utils/hpasmcli"], [/* 42 vars */]) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
write(2, "strace: exec: No such file or di"..., 40strace: exec: No such file or directory
) = 40
exit_group(1) = ?
+++ exited with 1 +++
but man 3 execve says:
ERRORS
The exec functions shall fail if:
ENOENT A component of path or file does not name an existing file or path or file is an empty string.
So I have no idea what's going on here... Just some weird broken binary?
Florian

The system is 64 bit (x86_64) indeed.
skottish wrote:If it's a 32 bit binary on a 64 bit system without the correct 32 bit libraries, this will always happen. The Compiler, did you use the AUR package to install this or did you do it manually?
I used the AUR package.

I think the PKGBUILD looks good, but their original RPM is broken. When I download and extract the 64 bit RPM by hand, _one_ binary is 64 bit, the others are 32bit:

• GetCoreResourceModificationDate could not get path to timestamp file

Porting my InDesign CS5.5 Plugin to InDesign CS6, when I build a debug version of the plugin and deploy it to the InDesign CS6 Debug version and launch InDesign I get "PlugInData::GetCoreResourceModificationDate could not get path to timestamp file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS6 Debug\Plug-ins\SCC\(SCCINDDEXTRACTION V7.1.0.17 FOR CS6 Resources)\timestamp.idrc" which suggests that InDesign is expecting to find a "timestamp.idrc" file in the root of my plugin's resources subfolder. I have searched the sdk and google and have found nothing about a timestamp resource for InDesign plugins. Is my plugin resource (.rc or .fr file) supposed to include some kind of timestamp that would cause the resource compiler to generate a timestamp.idrc file?

OK, I fixed this, but not sure how.
I think the cache was corrupt.

• Why am I getting this - pages "No such file or directory"?

After building a Pages doc with images and type, the file got pretty big - about 445mb. Nearing completion, I started getting the error "The document “document name” could not be saved. No such file or directory." Have I exceeded the file size limit? Are there permissions issues going on? I tried saving it to both the desktop and locally in other places, to our XServe and to our promise raid. No luck. I tried changing the file name in a "Save As" with no luck. Got the same message. I can edit, add and paste items from the doc as well as export it to a PDF or a .doc, but can't save it as a pages document. What might be the probelm?
Thanks.

I am also this same issue... did you get this one resolved?

Hello All,
I am running a Maxl to load data in a database which is running fine but noted a weird issue that the errors are not getting logged in error file. Suppose i changed the name of data file then it should give error something like
ERROR - {Error no.} - Unable to open file {filename} which should be logged in error file but my error file is still empty.
I am using the Maxl -
import database {dbname} data from data_file {filename} on error append to "D:/Error/errorfile.err";
Any inputs please...
Thanks

Try to use single quotes and the backslash. It may depend on the operating system and /or the version of essbase used. This is an example from one of my maxls:
on error append to 'D:\Hyperion\logfiles\myload.err';
