Hi Kevin,
I assume that you have created your site through Muse. In this case, by default, File Manager is disabled to prevent the risk of accidental content overwrites since there is no roundtrip between Muse and the online editor.
If you wish to enable the File Manager, edit your account settings (by clicking on your name on the top right corner and selecting My Details) and check the Enable online content editing box.
This will enable several options into your menu, including the file manager.

Uploading file to the servelet and write directly into database

i want client to upload file to the server (using servlet for that) and i just don't want to store it to the hard disk, but i want to write it
into the the ms sql database (that i m using).

Here is a good site for learning how to upload a file using a servlet:

Once you get the file in the servlet you shouldn't have any problem storing it to a DB.

hi every body , iam stuck up with yhis problem . I a have use Random Access File to upload files to the web server , now i want the user can see the files he /she has uploaded or the the files uploaded by others . plese help me how to implement this .

Allowing people to upload file to my site

Hi
I want to allow people who visit my website to be able to upload files to my site.
I know how to make the form with the “browse” button in DW but what exactly do I do after that?
Can anyone instruct me which script I need to have, where to put them, on my server and what else to do for the upload process to succeed?

I am attempting to upload files using the zend _file_transfer system from cs5 training from the source.
On trying to upload to a remote server I am having trouble with the destination setting (C:/upload_test) in the example, please could you point me in the right direction for the an example of this setting for a remote file transfer
Also do I have to construct a connection file to activate a Ftp file transfer?

That's irrelevant. DW is just the tool you are using to build your site. The site runs on your hosting accounts servers. This includes the php scripts you are working with.

The exercise you are dealing with is using http file transfer. This has nothing to do with FTP. You do not need FTP for this, other than using it to move your source code from your local client to your server.

"program access and defaults" is not the place to remove programs in Windows. You need to go to the control panel and click on Add and Remove programs. For instructions on how to uninstall Firefox, see [[Uninstalling Firefox]]

I was able to do this, however I did have one issue. When users complete the business catalyst forms on my website the from field in google apps gmail has my business catalyst login name instead of the user information placed in the form.
Is there any way to correct this?

There are any number of services. Just do some Google searching. There are services like Picassa, MediaFire, PhotoBucket, Tumblr, and many others. Just takes a little research on your part.

Things seem to have gone crazy here. I cannot log into the client site using my partner portal password and username.
My client user which I set up as an admin, is saying that she cannot upload images saying she doesn't have the authority to do that and she cannot import items, with a different message.
Also, I see now way to modify or delete her as a user from the partner portal. Going fom my portal to the client site to details.
