Business Catalyst templates not containing content in Muse built site

I am currently upgrading a clients website and have recently got into designing using Muse and thought I would try out the BUsiness Catalyst system to host it all etc. I wanted to use muse for the more static opages and the the blog for case studies and the ecommerce section for the product catalogue (even though we will not be selling online).
All was going swimmingly until I found the pages I had created for the main template pages {tag_pagecontent} or any other module on that note. The site search results was doing it too if the results can over a certain length. Its seemed that the page would be stuck at a standard height. I have dragged the content box down to meet the footer guide so in theory it expands the page when it has to but for some reason this isnt working for me. I am not sure if it is how I have sut up the footer or the page or the way I have the master pages working or something. I have tried various options but am about to give up. I either have to bin business catalyst or just use muse to create the whole catalogue but with over 200 products this could take some time.
I woudld appreciated some help from some more experienced users or techincal heads. I hope it is an easy fix or there is some way around it.

Also the sticky footer on these template pages and pages with module content (i.e the search results page) isnt sticking to the bottom as you can scroll past it. Which leads me to believe its something to do with the footer I have set up.

I did try unpinning but that didnt work for me either.
It took too long to get an answer so I am now using another system that doesnt have this problem. Hopefully when I use Muse again I wont have this problem. Sorry.

FTP Passwords not retained. Business Catalyst widget not functioning correctly

I am using OS X 10.10.3, Dreamweaver 2014.1.1 Build 6982.
I am unable to connect to my remote server through business catalyst. it tells me that my credentials are incorrect and to check the settings.
I check my credentials for the ftp server and it is not retaining the password. I re-type the password and test connection. No problems.
I try to connect to remote site again to update pages and the same problem happens. I go back to site settings and the ftp password is blank again.
I have followed the steps described in the known issue page and it did nothing to help .
the add on widget for business catalyst is not able to connect to the site either.
I would really like to find a fix to this asap as I need to update my site via Dreamweaver.
Note. I am able to connect to the web portal for my business catalyst site without issues, so it is not a problem with my account.

Hi Scott,
First of all, could you try to log in to the Business Catalyst Admin Dashboard of your site and check if you are able to log in from there.
Could you uninstall BC DW add in on DW CC from Extension manager and also from https://creative.adobe.com/addons
I would recommend you to uninstall BC add in from both places and then install BC Add in from https://creative.adobe.com/addons as well as download and install the add in via Extension manager ( https://creative.adobe.com/addons/patches/4965/install )
Let me know by trying these steps, if that works or not.

Pages which base on a Business Catalyst template are not editable in Live-View?

As long as the page is not a template, all these neat new edit-features of Dreamweaver work without problems. But as soon as I create a template and define an editable region with the Business Catalyst Tag {tag_pagecontent}, the content put inside this regions is no longer editable in Live-View. Is this a bug or has it just been forgotten to implement?

Modifying Business Catalyst Templates for the first time...

Thank you for contacting us.
Muse works on the ".muse" file. Even If you download an Adobe Business Catalyst template you will not get the MUSE file for it and MUSE will not be able to open it.

My muse-built site on business catalyst isn't loading on all browsers and devices e.g. the full-screen video widget doesn't load or play, the scrolling doesn't work. Any advice? The site is gulch.businesscatalyst.com

Once you add the domain to Business Catalyst and finish all the DNS delegation steps listed in the article for launching a site on BC, your old site will no longer load and users will go to the new BC site. Your old hosting then could be discontinued with whichever vender you used. Be aware that DNS can sometimes take 24 hours to fully propogate so you should wait to make sure that things are all loading properly. -j

How do I reset Business Catalyst log-on after redirecting website to Google Sites?

I am trying to log into my Business Catalyst account after moving my website to google sites - the BC login tries to go to the new website instead of logging into a business Catalyst dashboard.
All I want to do is to make sure the Business Catalyst account is closed and files are deleted - but can't get to it.

Is the user logging out or is the internet disconnecting after 15 minutes?
If the user is logging out go to System Preferences > Security and there is an option to log-out after a specified time period inactive, uncheck that box.

Business Catalyst Templates from Muse

Hey there,
I'm hoping someone can help me out!
Maybe i'm misunderstanding how BC and Muse are tied together, a website just fell in my lap recently. I'm trying to figure out what in Muse is telling Business Catalyst to generate a template for it.
I have many templates inside Muse but only a couple of them are being generated inside of Business Catalyst.
Basically, if I was to make a new template in Muse, how would I tell BC that I want it to be a template I can use there as well?

Hi Dawn,
Make sure that you insert the {tag_pagecontent} using the 'object -> insert html' option and not insert this tag on a master page, instead insert it on a web page.

Business Catalyst blog not working properly on my Muse site

I am following this tutorial to put a Business Catalyst blog onto my Muse site. Blog tutorial starts at 19:26.
I'm not sure what part I'm doing wrong, since I'm following it all accordingly, but when I publish the final version of my website, the blog module is showing up as a 'page not found' box.
My blog is all set up correctly on Business Catalyst too, and it is there. In Muse, my blog menus are pointing to /blog.
Can someone please give me some suggestions on how to fix this?
Kind of urgent, since it's for a one year anniversary celebration tomorrow, so I need my website all functional by then. I can give some more details/screenshots if you need them.

Is there a way I can have Business Catalyst automatically import product content from Amazon? (e.g. a Web App I could build, perhaps?)

I'm currently building a site using Drupal that is basically a huge book database and book review site. In order to acquire basic information about certain books I'm using an Amazon module that automatically pulls information into my Drupal database (such as author name, page count, publication date, etc.) based on any ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) I enter. It's a pretty nice arrangement. Also, people can click on a link that leads them to the item on Amazon so that they can purchase it and I can collect a puny affiliate commission. Yay Internet!
But I'd like to use Muse and Business Catalyst instead. I was able to create a Web App version of my database but I can't figure out how to 1) automatically import based on ASIN and 2) automatically link each book record in the database to its page on Amazon. Honestly, if I could just get the info into the database alone I'd be happy.
I'm afraid that Adobe would have to create some sort of connection on their end that interfaces with the Amazon API - and therefore there is no way to create such a website now using Muse. But, of course, I don't know everything so I ask you all: is there a way this can happen now?

To do stuff like that will always need custom coding and things like API work. You will never be able to use Muse for that, its a basic site design tool that can hook up to BC modules. You will need to use coding software and have custom API work done for things like this.

Business catalyst form not working right on an iPad

I created a form on my client's business catalyst website. It doesn't clear on the iPAD after hitting the submit button. If he goes back on the browser-all the information is still there. BC tech support suggested that there was some code that needed to be added to remedy this situation. Can anyone help?

My client uses the form in their office. The applicant fills out the form in their office on an iPad. If the fields remain filled out after the first applicant submits his/her form, then that information can be stolen by the next person filling out the application. The form contains very sensitive personal information.
Is there a way to handle this? When I test the form in Chrome on my laptop, it works fine. It "seems" to be an issue with the iPad.

Business Catalyst will not open in CS6

I am just about frustrated with trying to get BC opened up in CS6. I have a x64 Windows 8 operating system and have CS6 Dreamweaver installed. When it opens, I click under "Create New" Business Catalyst Site.... Once I do that a dialogue box opens up that says Business Catalyst on the title bar but the box is white and then disappears. This just does that over and over when I click on it. On the right side where it has the Business Catalyst tab it says "Get Started" and that button does absolutely nothing. Everything else works when I click it but anything related to BC will not work at all. Please help!

Business Catalyst extension not working since upgrade

I have installed the CC 2014.1 upgrade and now can't get my BC extension too work.
I click on Site->Manage Sites->Import Business Catalyst Site to add a BC site to DW and a dialog comes up saying BC is available as an add-on.
That then takes me to the Adobe Add-ons page which says it is already installed. If I go to Windows->Extensions it says there are no extensions available.
If I go to the Business Catalyst window in DW it shows a video link and a button that says 'Get Started' which does nothing.
What has happened?

I've installed the Business Catalyst add-on for Dreamweaver CC and I'm having a similar issue to the initial post above but I'm also receiving the error showing in the first (Dreamweaver) screen grab below. When I view applications through CC App, it shows that the Business Catalyst add-on is installed. Likewise, when I use the Adobe Extension Manager, it also shows the Business Catalyst add-on is installed. I've followed your instructions for cleaning up the Preferences. I've also tried uninstalling and re-installing the Business Catalyst add-on several times. I noticed one of the troubleshooting steps for Business Catalyst add-on states:
a. Check the version of Adobe Extension Manager CC installed on your machine.
b. If the version is not 7.3.3.39 or later, update your Adobe Extension Manager CC using the Creative Cloud app.
I checked my version of Extension Manager and it's only at ver. 7.3.2.39 even though I followed the update procedure through the Creative Cloud app. I've closed all apps and re-started my computer. I've followed all the troubleshooting procedures I can find on the Add-ons website and the forums and I'm stuck.

Business Catalyst connector not working in DW CC 2014.1 despite an update yesterday 30/10/2014

I upgraded my DW CC 2014.1 via CC yesterday.
Today I am trying to work on a new BC site I am developing.
When I go to Site, Manage Sites, and then select Import Business Catalyst Site I get the following message:
Business Catalyst support is now available as an extension from Adobe Add-ons. Visit the Add-ons website and download the Business Catalyst extension to use this feature.
It then brings up a screen to download the extension. When I go to download it it says I have the extension already and downloaded it on 18th of August.
OK so what do I do here? I need to work on my BC website today...

OK I got on to BC help chat and found the answer.
Don't download the widget from the Adobe webpage. You need to first install Adobe Extension manager in you Creative Cloud application.
