How long does it take to restore firmware on iphone5.The phone is only 3 week old and has been in recovery mode for nearly 3 hours now?

    - No. That is too long. What does the status bar in iTunes say the iPod is doing?
    - Terminate the sync. Force close iTunes if necessary then reboot the computer. Also reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Try again. If still problem come back with what the status bar says when it stopped.

  • How long does it take to upgrade iphone 3g?

i was on the i-tunes site and accepted an opportunity to upgrade my 3g, hours later....
how long does it typically take?  thanks!

imagine, kilted tom, that if i am on some apple support community site asking such dumb-*** questions and providing inadequate information, i might be just some average person who bought an i-phone, know little about it and even less about how internet connection speeds work.
imagine too, that we all in fact have different areas of expertise, and i am seeking support because this situation draws on none of mine.
now, i suspect you might know whether it would be three days or six to eight hours to download this frickin' upgrade, and i asked you what information might help you give me some idea, but instead you want to get a little pissy about the topic.  not my interest to engage.
do you see what i'm getting at here?  thanks for your attempt to help.  hope you earned some points. have an awesome day!

  • How long does it take for upgrade eligiblity to show up after returning phone?

I returned a phone in store today and already receieved the credit on my account, but it shows that I am not eligible for an upgrade on my line. I was wondering how long it usually takes for my upgrade eligiblity to show back up after returning a phone. Thanks!

Always make sure this is reset before leaving the store. But a simple call to customer service should get it fixed right away.

  • How long does it take to upgrade bb software.....??

My phone has been updating for nearly 2hours and all its saying now is ''Checking for blackberry device software updates'' i thinking of just pulling the lead out nowwww

To get through the upgrade will take an hour or more.  To just check for the upgrade, which I believe is what your phone is doing, should take about 10 seconds.
As Sonic suggested, yank that battery out and try again.
    - If my response has helped you, please click "Options" beside my post and mark it as solved. Clicking the "thumbs up" icon near the bottom of my response would also be appreciated.

  • How long does it take to upgrade

I started the process a few hours ago.   It went through the download, restart, upgrade.  Then it restarted again as per the application.   It has been sitting there spinning now for about 1.5 hours.
The screen has a Circle with a bar through it and below it the spinning - " I am doing something icon ".     Do I wait longer or am I in a spot where there may be no return.
I have a Mac Book Pro (2009/2010).  It was running the latest software release of Lion 10.7.  I updated all software before starting the upgrade to Mountain Lion.
    Any assistance is appreciated.
    Kim

No errors at all until it reboots after installation.  The only error is the continual spinning of the "I am doing something icon".
I will have to sit with this for a bit, let my system cool down.
For the most part my files are saved on an external drive.   Music and my phone backup are about what I may loose "if" I have to reinstall after formatting.  All my apps are downloadable again.
Hmmmmm. I really do not want to have to blow it away.   Tomorrow I will see if I can sash into it and recover some files.
    Any other ideas are welcome.

  • How long does it take to upgrade from Snow Leopard to OS X Mavericks?

I am trying to upgrade my Snow Leopard to Mavericks but when I start downloading I new icon appears saying OS X Mavericks waiting and it does not show any advancement in the downloading bar.

It is a 5 GB+ size file, so it isn't a quick download, especially if you are attempting to download it via Wi-Fi. If you can download it via Ethernet it will be 2-3 times faster.
Go to the App Store/Purchases and make sure the download hasn't paused. If it has there will be a resume button you can click.

    MAVERICKS...
Check here to see if your Mac is compatible...

If so... would recommend at least 4GB of RAM... if not 8 GB
It is important to get the Correct and Matching RAM
    See Here  >  OWC RAM  >  http://www.macsales.com
The above site also has videos on how to Install RAM should you need it...

  • "How long does it take to do a dist-upgrade on your distro?"

Yesterday there was a question in the USALUG.org "How long does it take to do a dist-upgrade on your distro?"
This question was a good question, so I decide to make the ultimate test. I have a lot of computers standing here around, and remembered that on one of them was have already Archlinux installation. I was right, when I booted, the system check said me, that the system was 253 days not checked anymore. I got so excited that I forgot to check was it one of my 0.7.2 Gimmick or 0.8 Voodoo installations.

After reboot the system loads all new applications with out any problem. Later I replaced the intel-video driver "xf86-video-i810 1.7.4-6" with the driver xf86-video-intel 2.2.0-2. No problems at all.

definitely. By contrast, here's a regular upgrade on my debian box -- out of the blue it's having some problem with one of the packages, and it's turning into a regular recursive nightmare.

It's so "delicate" and temperamental compared to the no-nonsense, straightforward approach of Arch. If one little thing is off, the entire system has a hissy-fit and won't do anything until you hunt the internet high and low searching for a solution, encountering all the debian hawks along the way who are ready to rip your head off at the first suggestion that debian isn't directly from god and could have a problem. Imo, Arch is the best linx distro hands down. Nothing else even comes close.

  • So how long does it take to load a 160GB iPod using the Convert Higher ...

I have a 160GB Gen 5 that I bought when first released back in the day when they were $400. Through a number of changes, the most recent being the advent of the Convert Higher Bitrate Songs to 128bit AAC feature, I decided to look at what more music I could store. After all was said and done, I ended up with a bit of a disaster with cover art not being properly applied to the music being played. I decided to *restore the ipod* based on suggestions in the discussion boards, and equally important was following the hints and tips here.
    http://www.samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/grouping.asp
The advice is especially important in very large library situations to ensure you have uniqueness in the albums you want to display. Hadn't really given it much thought until I had the ability to see the individual albums for the 40K songs on the iPod via the cover art view.
Finally the point of the post...
*So how long does it take to load a 160GB iPod using the Convert Higher Bitrate option now available in iTunes 9.1?* The specs on my computer are not highend by any stretch, but it's no slouch, and neither of the CPUs are ever pegged. At this point I've lost count of how much time it's taken, but the load is going on 3-4 days. With some breaks in between because I need to check each incremental load to verify there is no cover art corruption, correct bad tags and such, but for the most part the loading is visibly slow, and I'm sure the conversion is the cause. I'm not really complaining at this point, but there is clearly room for improvement. And of course unless there is a redo involved in which case I will get quite cranky.
*I would like to hear the experiences of others.*
Finally to lend a bit more credence to the performance concern, my 32GB iPhone 3GS for only about say 28GB of music takes about 24 hrs to load from a 2.2GHz dual core intel laptop, again using the convert higher bitrate option.

With AC power adapter it takes 3-4 hours for a full charge. With the USB charger it takes 9-0 hours for a full charge. I am not happy with them removing the AC charger and other accessoreis at all. It's business but it still stinks.
I know I would rethink my purchase but would most likely end up buying the Micro anyway

  • How long does it take for Apple to send the content code for a free upgrade to Mountain Lion?

Has anyone managed to successfully receive the content code in their email for a free ugprade to Mountain Lion?
I bought my MBP on 14 July so I qualified for the free upgrade. Went to the website and filled in the form along with my serial number about 2 nights ago. Still haven't received my content code yet. How long does it take? Should I be speaking to someone already? Who?
    Thanks.

We are being advised it can take up to 72 hours !

  • Time machine migration, how long does it take?

Im going to migrate to another mac using time machine, how long does it take (time machine/main hdd in the old mac was at about 700gb capacity)

There is no way of determining that. The time is dependent on a number of different factors.
