Calculate interest on arreast: Time-sensitive interest terms

Hello,
Can you please help me. I try to run transaction F.2A  I receive following error message:
"The table of time-sensitive interest terms is not maintained for the
following transaction types and interest calculation indicators.
Interest ID  Trans.type
Y         CREIR
(CREIR: Calc. credit interest on arrears; C SAL: Calc.acct bal.cred.interest;
DEBIR: Calc. debit interest on arrears;  D SAL: Calc.acct bal.debt interest)"
Do you know what I should do to correct this error?
Thanks.

Hi,
Customer was using z-program for interest calculation and the problem was in that program. Our programmer did some fixing but I do actually know what. There is some place in configuration (you can search it) where you can assign CRED  type to the interes indicators.

  • Calculate interest on Security Deposit at the time of invoice?

    Dear All,
I have a requirement of calculating interest at the time of invoicing.
I did the following configuration in spro:
SAP Utilities ->Invoicing->Invoice Processing->Define Control for additional invoicing functions
I clicked at the Int:Cash Security Deposit button.
But when I execute transaction EA10 (Creating invoice) , interest is not calculated on the security deposit.
All the configuration w.r.t interest calculation is correct.
Please let me know if anybody has any solution to this.
    Warm regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
To calculate interest on any line item, we have to assign a interest key to it.
Take the FICA document created for Security Deposit and open it into FPE2 and goto change document:Item and then click on Tab Dunn. Data. Provide the interest key over here and then RUN your invoicing.

  • Calculate Interest on arrears

    Dear community,
Is some body could help me, I have a problem when I want to change the setting the calculation of the interest. Which running under T_Code F.24.
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Maya

    Hello
Interest calculation is controlled by settings made in the interest indicator. You assign an interest indicator to the master records of the customer and vendor accounts you want to calculate interest for. You make other settings for each interest calculation. These specifications take effect together with the specifications for the indicator, and sometimes have a higher priority.
Interest is calculated using the debit interest rate defined for the interest indicator in the system. Credit interest rates are used when interest is being calculated on items paid prior to their due date
    Also check this
There are different ways of calculating interest:
    ●     In either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable, choose Periodic Processing ® Interest Calculation ® Arrears Interest ® Without Open Items if you only want to calculate interest for cleared items and post the interest. The system calculates interest as of the due date for net payment.
    ●     In either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable, choose Periodic Processing ® Interest Calculation ® Arrears Interest ® With Open Items if you want to calculate interest for open and cleared items and post the interest. The system calculates interest as of the upper limit date of the last interest run.
    ●     In either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable, choose Periodic Processing ® Interest Calculation ® Arrears Interest ® Without Postings if you want to calculate interest for open and/or cleared items but do not want to post the interest. The system calculates interest as of the due date for net payment.
In each of the above cases, either the relevant fields have default entries or only the selection criteria required are displayed.
    ●     In either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable, choose Periodic Processing ® Interest Calculation ® Arrears Interest ® Custom Selections if you want to make a selection that differs from the options mentioned above.

  • Inserting & Deleting in Trees?? Time sensitive issue

We have a tree that is populated with information linked to a client. When the user clicks on a node, it populates a block to the right with that data. Then the user can manipulate that data on the block to the right. If the users inserts a new record in the block on the right, in the key-crerec trigger for that block, I am also inserted a node into the tree with "[] New Item" as the Label and "0" as the value. My question is how do I delete this node if the user decides not to save. For example, they insert a new record, fill in all the data and then click on another node in the tree (to see it's data). The form pops the message "Do you want to save your changes?" (this message is coming from FORMS not me. If the user says "No". The record is not saved but the node still appears in the tree. Where do I put the code to delete the node?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a time sensitive issue.

Just a guess (never did that before) - servlets are server-side code. As you already suspected, it's looking for that c:\... file on the server, not on the client. Shouldn't you instead get the upload (input) stream from the request?

  • Lines During Capture? (Time Sensitive)

Hi - I'm capturing HD video off miniDV into PProCS4 and I see these "lines" in the picture every time there's motion (panning, quick zoom) in the shot.  However, the picture looks perfect on the little camera screen.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!  (This is for a Christmas video, so this is time sensitive!)

    Thank you!
I'm going to send the finished piece as a video Christmas Card over the internet - just in case that matters.
So if I keep it interlaced, will it look right after export?

  • Old External to New MBP cable question (Time sensitive)

I have a new MBP (purchased late january 2011). New external drives all connected properly and working. However, I need to access some old files for tax purposes (and that is why this is a time sensitive question.) These files were kept on a 60GB, small, portable drive: SmartDisk FireLite Model #FWFL60-N. This drive connected to my old MBP with a 4-pin firewire cable (wire has IEEE 1394 printed on it.) Obviously that cable is outdated for my new MBP. Question: Is there some type of wire (or conversion adaptor) I can purchase that will allow me to connect this old drive to the new computer? I never thought I'd need those old files -- but tax season has me scrambling for help or advice. Thanks!

You need a 9-pin to 4-pin cable or adapter. For example this one from Macsales.

  • Need to calculate interest paid/earned for the coming year ...

    All,
Working up the 2010 budget, and decided to give Numbers a whirl vs. continuing with M$ Excel for another year. One of the things I do is make some kind of educated estimate on how much my interest I will pay on each of my loans in the following year.
    Example - auto loan:
    Balance: $10,000
    Interest rate: 7%
    Payment: $200/month
You get the idea. Does Numbers have a formula that will calc the effective interest I would have paid by December 2010, recalculating the new principal and interest each month as the balance goes down, etc? I looked at IPMT, but some of the variables don't seem to make sense to me.
    Appreciate the help in advance.
    Bones

Ok, that works for some things. (Thanks again).
If you have a fixed-term loan (auto, home, etc.) then CUMIPMT seems to work great. But in the case of revolving credit lines, credit cards, where there is no fixed term the formula breaks down.
    For example:
    CreditCardX
    - APR: 10%
    - Balance: $5,000
    - Projected payment/month: $150
    CreditCardY
    - APR: 12%
    - Balance: $4,000
    - Projected payment/month: $125
In the coming 12 months, I want to play with the numbers to see how much interest I will pay on X versus Y over the coming year ... up the payment on X and see how that changes things versus upping the payment on Y ... you get the idea.
I guess I can just create a manual formula (?)
Still appreciate any help as I am figuring out Numbers.

  • How to calculate Interest?

We have a unique requirement. We invest in a product which pays a particular rate of interest up to certain balance and a different interest rate beyond that balance.
For example If our Investment is upto 10Million, the bank pays 0.1%. Any investment above 10Million the bank pays only 0.075%.
How can we calculate this interest using a Interest rate instrument or any other Money market Product?
So on a particular day if our investment balance was 15M then the interest earned will be (10M *0.1/100/365) + (5M * 0.075/100/365). How can we configure this in the system?
    Kalyan.

    Hi Kalyan,
according to my own knowledge, this is not a standard functionality of SAP Treasury module.  If you use the Interest rate instrument (the Product category - 550 ), then the 3 following variants of interest rates are available:
    --- as fixed interest (like 2%);
    --- as variable interest (like LIBOR 6 mo USD, EURIBOR 6 mo, etc.);
--- as an amount (like 100 USD).
so,  in your case I see the 2 following work-arounds to handle those requirements:
    --- scenario A. According to your provided formula, you can split total amount of 15 mio into 2 deals: 1st - 10 mio, paying 0.1% and 2nd - 5 mio, paying 0.075%;
--- scenario B. Another solution might be calculating interest amount of of the system and input it just as an amount (3rd option of interest entry).

  • How to calculate interest needed to get a future value? urgent:(

    Hey guys,
I really need help and fast:(,  I have an initial value of 7.305 and i need a future value of 35.254 i have 39 years and i want to know which compounding interest i need, if anyone knows how please helpxD
    So much thanks in advance

    SIM,
You used the word "compounding" in your original post. That implies a number of periods greater than one.
It doesn't matter if you don't make payments along the way, payments would be zero then. Since you didn't answer my question I'll assume that your compounding period is annual. (It could conceivably be monthly or daily.)
Also, you must remember that money going out is negative and money coming back is positive. Here's your example:
The formula in the Rate cell is:
    =RATE(C,0,A,B)
