Calendar date & net due date (FI) PAYMENT TERMS - OBB8 Vendor Invoice

I read many posts on SDN forum about the topic.
Anyway, I didn't find a simple solution for that.
My aim is is to calculate a net due date based on working days.
So, If I've got a 30 days document days payment term  ("Deafult for baseline date" = Document date ; Additional Months = '2'), a Vendor Invoice (document date = 12.05.2011), by standard net due date will be 12.06.2011.
FROM 12.05.2011 to 12.06.2011 =
32 CALENDAR  DAYS
22 WORKDAYS (32 minus  10 holyday - 2 weekends)
WORKDAYS PAYMENT TERMS  Within 30 workdays Due net
Vendor Invoice  document date = 12.05.2011
plus   30 workdays   =  DUE DATE  22.06.2011  (and not 12.06.2011)
Can I obtain that with a standard functionality?

Hi,
Sadly this is not available as standard.  As per your need the Net due date should be worked out by using a factory calendar; but what this does is it delinks the direct correlation between the number of days in the payment terms with the difference between the due date and baseline date.  I hope you are aware that Net Due date is not stored but is a variable calculated during run time in reports.
There are four things you can try:
1.  The simplest to do is: As the number of weekends are fixed; and if the intention is to give a 30 working day term, then add on the number of weekends and make the payment term effectively for say 40 days.  There will be marginal variations over what you want. Best part here is that config remains standard.
2. All the receivable reports will use a function module (usually the same one) to calculate the net due date; enhance the FM and make it consider a factory calendar for calculating due date.
3. Enhance the accounting interface, and in runtime; modify the days that are coming from the payment term; based on a factory calendar, and update the accounting document. This delinks the days mentioned in the payment term and the accounting document and may not be palatable.
4. Enhance the accounting interface, and in runtime; calculate the due date and update the baseline date with it and make the payment term as "Immediate" yielding the desired due date. Not very elegant.  Alternatively add to the baseline date days equivalent to holidays and weekends and keep the days from payment terms constant and update the accounting document. Better...
All four options have somes pros and cons.  I do not see any other means of acheiving what you want.  Maybe you could restrict users to a custom receivables/due date/ageing report which delivers what you want and lock the standard reports.
Cheers..

  • Different Payment Terms in vendor invoice, (with differ. PO)

I will explain with an example to understand better the issue and why this could happen, (for the same Co.Code):
On 05.09.2011, 5203795529 was posted with payment terms D030.
At that time, PO #: 4501105395 was having payment terms D030 while PO #: 4501232207 was having payment term D031.
    Invoice 5203795529 was posted successfully.
On 12.09.2011, 5203806574 was posted with payment terms D030.
At that time, PO #: 4501105395 was having payment terms D030 while PO #: 4501232207 was having payment term D031.
    Invoice 5203795529 was posted successfully.
In OCT, user receives another invoice for this 2 POs (4501232207 & 4501105395) and trying to post MIRO again but this time, user encountered error 'Payment terms in purchase order 4501232207 differ from current terms'. In order to proceed, user has changed payment term for 4501105395 from D030 to D031 on 17.10.2011 and proceed with invoice posting without error. 5203878342 was posted on 17.10.2011.
The vendor always has the same Payment Term: D031
Now the question is, why user is able to post without any problem previously even though there's different payment terms on both POs and not now anymore?.
The strange thing is in SEP, there's already this difference & there is no problem posting the invoice & the problem only comes when in OCT.
    Why does this happen?
    Thanks and Regards

  • Payment terms in vendor invoice posting

    Hi all,
When using FB60 to post vendor invoice, I can't see payment terms and discount information under "payment" tab.
I had create payment terms in IMG, and assigned it to the vendor master record.
    Do I miss anything?
    Thanks for the help!
    YuLin

    Julia,
I use FK01 when I created the Vendor Master data and assigned payment terms to the vendor, I went to FK02 (change), and can see my assigned payment terms there. Is there any difference if I assign payment terms in FK02 rather than in FK01?
My problem is I couldn't see "payment terms"  when I post a vendor invoice nor can I see it in line item display after I posted the invoice. I couldn't see the settings for discount either, not that I wanted to see the discount "amount".
I suspected that the settings for my new vendor is causing me this problem but not the payment terms itself, or could be the combination of company code and vender master record settings, so when I try to post invoice to this vender, I couldn't see payment terms, but while I post other vendor's invoice, I can see payment terms.. I could be wrong..

  • Mass change of PAYMENT TERMS on Vendor Invoices

Hi Can someone advise me how i can update paymetn terms on vendor line items en masse ?
When i select the line items i require,  then CTRLShiftF9 - the field for payment terms does not seem to be available for me to add new values in .....
Is there another way for this to be done, - or is there a way that i can add in this field
    Thanks for your advice
    Tony

    Hi Tony,
You can use the transaction FBL1N.
Select the entries you want to change and do a Mass change.
The field PAYMENT TERMS is not available (I think whith an oss note that it is possible to ad this field to the mass change option) but you can fill in the fields Days/discount in Mass change.

  • Net due date incorrect in FBL3N report

    Hi,
Net due date is coming correctly in Vendor Display report FBL1N, however the same entry when we see in reconciliation account in FBL3N we get the wrong due date. We are going thorough GL head to get the correct amount which is tallying with f.08 data for ageing group-wise. For this reason net due date is required.
Let me know if there is any other way I can proceed.
    Regards,
    Devdatth

    Hi,
    Waiting for reply.
I need to know, why in FBL1N we get the correct net due date and in FBl3N get incorrect net due date.
    For example:
    in FBL1N the entry is-
doc date           Baseline date           Net due date             Pay terms
    08.10.2012         08.11.2012              08.12.2012                30 days
the same entry in FBL3N is-
doc date           Baseline date          Net due date              Pay terms
    08.10.2012        08.11.2012              08.11.2012                 30 days
i.e in FBL3N report also the same date 08.12.2012 should appear. But the report is showing incorrect date.

  • Posting date and net due date

    Hi forum,
In a report i need to show the value of overdue items that were collected in a period between two key dates (entered as variables)
    First I restrict as follows:
    KF: Credit amount
Net due date [] key date 1, key date 2
But additionally I would need to restrict:
Posting date > net due date (i.e. collected after an item is overdue).
But how can you assign net due date to posting date? Maybe using a variable with replacement path?
Any help is appreciated as this very urgent.
    Thanks!
    Alex

    Hi Swetha,
    Thanks for the reply.
I created two replacment path variables as you suggested and put them in the formula. Unfortunately, I do not see any results in the column.
I am showing the report by different customers - do I have to maybe change the aggregation to see any figures?
    Thanks

  • Payment term net due date as 15th of month

    Hi Tea,
I have created a payment term Z005 for net due date is 15th of the month, while doing testing I found that it's calculating wrongly, while posting the invoice I have given the document date as 10th of April, for this net due date is calculating as 15 of April, it's correct if i give the document date as 18th of April, for this also system is calculating the net due date as 15th of April it's wrong, it should calculate as 15th of may.
Can you please help me to fix this one?
    Thanks
    Nenu

    Hi Nenu
You should use day limit in term of payment.
As per your concern bill enter upto 14th of the month net due date will be 15th of the month, and bill enter between 15th to 30th, due date will be 15th of next month.
    T Code - OBB8
    New entry -
    pmt term - Z005
    Day limit - 14
    Fixed Day - 15
    save
    back
    New entry
    Pmt term - Z005
    Day limit - 31
    Fixed day - 15
    Additional months - 1

  • Baseline date, terms of payment, net due date in MIRO Parked document

    Hi all:
When parking a docuement in MIRO with a PO reference the terms of payment, baseline date, and due date are all determined.
The problem is when we don't have a PO yet, just the vendor and the amount, is there a way for MIRO to determine the terms, baseline date, and due date from the vendor master?

    Hi,
Just enter the Vendor in MIro and it should pull the Payment terms from the Vendor master (Company Code Area).
Baseline Date & Due Date are derived based on the settings in the payment term.

  • F110 payment only possible 8 days after net due date, why?

    Hi all,
When we try to post a payment in F110 by choosing a next p/date as for example 24 April all invoices with net due date up to that date will be included. In payment proposal only invoices with net due date up to 15 April is included, not invoices with net due date 16 April and after. There is something with a tolerance of 8 days but I don´t know where this configuration is set. Payment terms is 30 days net and there I can´t find anything about any tolerance days and i can´t find anything in FBZP either. Does anyone know where I can find these days set?
We want to create the payment per net due date. We don´t work with payment order.
    BR L

    Hi,
Check in transaction code FBZP, all company codes. Double click on the company code, you will the find the tolerance days for payable.
    Thanks

  • Show Net Due Date in F110 - Proposal list / Payment list

    Dear Gurus,
I would like to ask for help in below issues:
I want to display "Net due date" field in transaction F110 - Proposal list / Payment list (program : RFZALI20) but I only found "Baseline Payment date" and "Payment term" in variant maintenance.
Would appreciate if someone can give me the solution / suggestion for above issue?
    Thanks & regards,
    LOI

    Hi,
    1) You may copy the sample interface function module: SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00002110 (to get the passing parameters) and code your coding as below:
**To calculate Net due date = baseline date + payment term
    FUNCTION yyyy.
      LOOP AT T_REGUP_LST.
        T_REGUP_LST-ZZFAEDT = T_REGUP_LST-ZFBDT + T_REGUP_LST-ZTERM.
        MODIFY T_REGUP_LST.
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDFUNCTION.
    2) Make sure you have declared the new field in tbl CI_REGUP_LST and CI_REGUH_LST (item level in tbl-CI_REGUP_LST; header level in tbl-CI_REGUH_LST).
    3) Configure IMG through FI > Financial Accounting Global Settings > Business Transaction Events
    a) Settings > Products > of a Customer > Define a new product and activate it
    e.g Product = Zxxxx
    b) Settings > P/S Function Modules > of a Customer >
    e.g Event = 00002110
         Product = Zxxxx
         Appl = FI-FI
         Function Module = yyyy
    4) Proceed to test the new fields added through F110: Payment / Proposal List from program RFZALI20
I hope to hear a good news from you.
    Thanks & regards,
    LOI

  • AR - New estimated payment date after due date

    Dear friends,
In the event the Client is not paying within the expected due date that was calculated as "Net Due Date", we normally give the Client a grace period, and the need is to record this new estimated payment date in a date field, that the SAP user will manually introduce. The Net Due Date must not be affected as in case of having debt interests, they will be calculated on that basis. But I can not find a suitable way to implement it.
    Regards,
    Érika Iranzo
(PS: Extra information: We calculate the "Net Due Date" (FAEDT) of the our clients and vendor's invoices from the "Baseline Date for payment" (ZFBDT) plus the highest number of days within the terms of payment "Cash discount days 1" (ZBD1T). So that the due date is calculated as FAEDT = ZFBDT + ZBD1T. Additionally we also consider a region-specific calendar)

I found the field Grace Days RFOPS-TOLER that seems to be useful for my purpose, does any one know how can I make it visible when editing a document?

  • Re: Net Due Date

    Hi,
With which FM can I find the net due date for payment in SD? For any payment terms.
    Thanks a lot
    Hitesh

    Hi,
Based on the billing documents & the payment term you can define the Net due date.
Look the source code in the FM
    J_1A_SD_CI_DUEDATE_GET
    J_1B_FI_NETDUE
    Check this
    Maintain Payment Terms
In the following section, you maintain the payment terms. The rules for determining the due dates are copied as payment terms from the Financial Accounting (FI) component.
You can carry out different assignments for incoming and outgoing payments. You can also make a calendar assignment which will then be valid for both incoming and outgoing payments.
If you want to use the correction on a workday you must:
    1. Enter a factory calendar.
    2. Define how the non workdays are corrected.
    Requirements
You must have maintained the payment terms in Financial Accounting. Do this by choosing Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable -> Business Transactions -> Incoming Invoices/Credit Memos -> Maintain Terms of Payment.
    Return ->
    Thanks
