Calendar event sound notification on mobile

I see that Lync installed on my phone shows meetings planned. This is a very nice feature because it gives access to the calendar without installing the mailbox. It would be even cooler if Lync audibly notified about meeting. My Lync doesn't do it. Is
there a possibility for Lync on the phone (WP8 in my case) to notify with sound of the approaching meeting?

Why not just add the exchange account on the phone an only sync the calendar if you don't want mail. That way you will get reminders.

  • No calendar events in notification center (at all)

    Hi,
Since I've updated to iOS 7 (I started with one of the betas), I've got no calendar events showing if I swipe down notification center.
It only shows a text saying "No activities", even though there are plenty of activities showing in my calendar app. I've restarted the phone (hard and soft), I've reset and restored the phone both from iTunes and iCloud. I've made sure that all settings that should be enabled are enabled. The weather and stock widgets are showing alright. I've tried to delete the google account I sync calendars with, and then readd it.
Yesterday I tried to restart from a factory reset. When I add the google account from a clean installation it works fine and I get calendar events in notification center. But I want to find another solution where I wont lose all my data (text messages, application data, settings, etc).
Is there anyone that has an idea on how I can fix this or if there is something else I can try?
    Thank you!

It's not user adjustable. You'll need to use the Calendar app itself for more information.

  • Double Calendar events and notifications

    Hello everyone,
I am getting double Calendar events and notifications, that is, instead of getting and seeing one notification/calendar event, I get two of the same one.
Yesterday I was setting up iCloud so it may have something to do with that but I don't know what.
Also, in my Calendar Settings, I have the same calendars listed ( Work, Home, Personal, etc) under "From my Mac" and the another under iCloud.
This might have something to do with it too ...
But I still don't know what I need to do in order to stop getting double notifications and alerts.
    Any ideas, suggestions??
    thanks!!

okey-dokey, and now imagine I have 250 events in calendar
sitting one hour somewhere and changing some of them in such a manner - will make anyone mad... unless he has non-nokia device... mua-ha-ha
Of course it's related to the bug you described (I've encountered it too).
But regarding my initial problem as in header of topic - I'm pretty sure it does exist.
I deleted ALL entries in my Nokia calendar and have been ultimately suprized to hear reminder popping up. I even searched through calendar and alarms to see if anything left by chance. No - both were empty. Presume this bug is somehow related to the second one you described.Message Edited by sidream on 16-Oct-200704:14 PM

  • Duplicated calendar events on Notifications Center

I have recently upgrade my 3GS with iOS 5.  On my notifications center, I am getting duplicated notifications of all my Calendar events on the Notifications Center. I have gone into the Calendar and made sure there is no calendar that is checked and displayed twice, but this still did not fix the problems.  Anyone know how to correct this?

I have the same issue--it's clearly that one set is from Mobile Me and one set is on My Mac. I solved this by turning off all my calendars on My Mac. If I change the Mobile Me calendars, they sync properly. The only bummer is that I can't edit these events on my iPad, but at least I don't have duplicate events! I haven't had the guts to delete the calendars yet, I just unclicked them in the list...

  • Old calendar events on notification pull down

This has happened twice now on ios 8.0, I pull down the notifications and I still see old calendar events that have passed.  I can only clear this by restarting the iphone.

Check settings >> notification center >> today view

  • Does anyone know if there is a setting for calendar events in notification view

It feels like that the notification view for for "at-a-glance" calendar views have regressed from ios6 to ios7 in terms of usability and convenience.
The notification center ALWAYS shows the next 6 hours of your calendar, even when it is empty and there is no way to preview individual events/appointments beyond the 6 hours.  This is a waste of space and scrolling.  I know how many hours there are in a day and the empty calendar really isn't useful when I have other appointments for that day that would be much more useful to preview.
I just don't understand why Apple thought it would be a good idea to take up the entire "Today" screen with six hours of empty calendar entries ALL THE TIME.   With ios6 I could quickly get a glimpse of all the appointments I have for tomorrow all in one place from the notification center, before I go to bed.  With ios7 I have to actually open the calendar app.  This is a step backwards.
Things like this really makes the ios7 release seem premature and unfinished.  Minor UI issues I can live with, but this is actually making my smartphone dumber.
    For example: http://thingswrongwithios7.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/calendar-app/#attachment_7
And also All day appointments are no longer visible from the notification drop down.
    See: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1594792

I had the same issue last year.  it turned out to be my Bluetooth earpiece reached the end of its battery life.
When I got a replacement the problem went away.

  • How do I see my all-day events in Notification Center?

I cannot see my all-day calendar events in Notification Center.  How do I change this so that they show without me having to go to the Calendar app to see them?

    What IOS are you using?
    With IOS7:
Settings > Notification Center > Calendar Dy View: ON
then scroll down to INCLUDE section
          Tap Calendar
              ALERT STYLE: Alert
Calendar Alert > choose a sound here
              Show in Notification Center: ON
              Include > 5 items
              Show in Lock Screen: ON

  • Stamina Mode: LED Notification for Calendar Events

Is there any application I should add to the Stamina Mode exceptions list in order to get LED notfications for calendar events? I have already added the respective calendar application to the list so sound notifications are provided but the LED will still not flash.
I have stumbled upon a relevant thread (http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-SP/Xperia-SP-Notification-LED-and-STAMINA-Mode/m-p/326146/highl... but it is from the middle of 2013 and the information provided therein might thus be outdated.
    Hints/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    nvx
    EDIT (2015-03-11):
I just noticed that -- even if Stamina Mode is turned off -- the notification LED lights up only after waking the phone up. Is this by design?  I mean, the whole purpose of a notification LED is to, well, notify the user about events that they have missed while the phone was locked / in sleep mode...

Stamina mode has been designed to turn the LED notifications off, as an effort to save as much power as possible. However, in products from Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Compact and later, the LED illuminates when there is an incoming call or message when STAMINA mode is on.
I tested here and it works like you say, the LED doesn't flash for calendar reminders even when Stamina is off. I will forward that as feedback but it may perhaps work if you download another calendar application as long as Stamina is off.

  • All day calendar events not being displayed in the notification centre for iphone 5 post ios 7 upgrade. Please help. Is it a bug?

All day calendar events not being displayed in the notification centre for iphone 5 post ios 7 upgrade. Please help. Is it a bug?
With iOS 6, the all day events showed up in the notification centre but it lacks in the upgrade iOS 7.

Same problem here. Some people pointed out that all-day events do show up in their notification center, but that seems only to be the case for birthdays (and only as text like the weather). I've tried it myself on my iPhone and iPad and it did work for birthdays but not for any other all-day events. I already sent this to Apple as a product feedback as well, as should everyone of you. The more people mention it, the faster Apple's going to fix this issue. In its current state, notification center is not a very helpful feature in my opinion. There's absolutely no point in not showing all-day events in the 'today' calendar overview.
Here's a link to the product feedback page: http://www.apple.com/feedback/
I posted my message in the iPhone section since I couldn't find a page specifically dedicated to iOS 7.
I really love the look & feel of iOS 7 but it's kinda sad to see notification center not tapping its full potential.
    Cheers!

  • How can I stop notifications for calendar events in a shared calendar?

I have a shared iCal calendar in iCloud. I share it with my wife, so she can see my work schedule. It is a bit annoying though that her iPhone keeps doing all my reminders and notifications for calendar events. I want her to able to see and edit my calendar but she'd like very much not to have her phone buzzing all the time.

    Andrei1,
So are you saying that if I, rather than assigning a uint to the column and row number for each tile, just assigned a string to each one in the form "#_#" then I could actually just assign the "adjacent" array directly to it instead of using a generic object to hold those values? In this case, my click event would simply check the indexes, one at a time, of all tiles currently stored in my "selectArr" array against the column/row string in the currently selected tile. Am I correct so far? If I am then let's say that "selectArr" is currently holding five tile coordinates (the user has clicked on five adjacent tiles thus far) and a sixth one is being evaluated now:
    Current "selectArr" values:
           1_0
           1_1, 2_1, 3_1
                  2_2
    New tile clicked:
           1_0
           1_1, 2_1, 3_1
                  2_2
                  2_3
    Coordinate search:
           1_-1
    0_0, 1_0, 2_0, 3_0
    0_1, 1_1, 2_1, 3_1, 4_1
           1_2, 2_2, 3_2
                  2_3
Essentially what is happening here is that the new tile is checking all four coordinates/indexes belonging to each of the five tiles stored in the "selectArr" array as it tries to find a match for one of its own (which it does for the tile at coordinate 2_2). Thus the new tile at coordinate 2_3 would be marked as valid and added to the "selectArr" array as we wait for the next tile to be clicked and validated. Is this correct?

  • Calendar events not showing in notification centre

Was hoping there was someone out there that may have experienced the same problem, and has a solution.
I have noticed this morning that after upgrading to OS X Yosemite, I do not have my calendar events showing in notification centre. I cannot be sure that this is a result of upgrading to Yosemite.
Problem #1: In the today tab on notifications, an event did not show up for today, in both notification centre on my Mac, and on my iPhone. This seems to have been solved by changing the event from an all day event, to set hours. Is there a way that all-day events can be shown in notification centre?
Problem #2: In the today tab on notifications, down the very bottom, my Mac says there are no scheduled events for tomorrow. On the same tab on my iPhone, it says "there are 2 all-day events scheduled". Similarly, the event is listed in the notifications tab (not the today tab), in notifications centre on my phone, until you press on the event and it flicks you through to your calendar. Is anyone aware of why these events would not be showing up on my mac's notification centre?? I am assuming it has nothing to do with changing it from an all-day event, because it shows up on one device, but not another.
Calendar is switched on for notification centre on iPhone and mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Brendo

I found when I created an event, I needed to add an alert to it. Then it started showing up.

  • Why are all-day calendar events not appearing in the Notification Center?

I've noticed that all-day Calendar events do not appear in the Notfication Center in iOS. This is a glaring omission and I'm not sure if it's related to a bug or is intentional but it should be fixed right away. Why in the world would you leave out an all-day event from the Notification Center? What if I had a wedding anniversary or some other important event to remember?

IOS / is no out for a couple of weeks and Apple seems to be reluctant to fix this problem. As a business device it becomes rediculous to be not able to see my calender entries anymore in the notification center. Is Apple now leaving the business arena and focusing on toys ?

  • Calendar events not showing up in Notification Center

Hi, somehow my calendar events don´t shop up in the notification center. My standard calendar is googlemail synced via ical, but the problem is the same even when I create events in the native mac calendar/icloud. Already tried repairing permissions several times as well as creating a new UUID as proposed as a solution if widgets are missing in notification center. Like a lot others also stated, the preferences of the notification center reset after every reboot... Any help? Thanks, Philipp

    Hi,
    Same problem.
    Thx
