Calendar no longer syncing with MacBook Pro

I have an iCloud account and since moving over to ML, my Calendar on the Mac has been spotty at best.
My iPhone syncs with my iCloud account and vice-versa but not so the Mac. I have tried logging out and back in, restarting, etc. Nothing.
I have had my iCloud / MobileMe / .Mac / iTools account for about 13 years and not had a problem that I couldn't solve - until now.
Can someone offer any advice?
Thank you
Gavin

Just to clarify--I do not use the Microsoft Outlook Exchange server from my work.  Also--under the desktop hot sync applications, everything is checked, and everything is supposed to 'synchronize the files'. I tried handheld to overwrite desktop on the Calendar--but the whole hot sync process seems to be completely ignoring the date book and calendar.  No error messages or anything.  Also--this always worked before.  I have changed NOTHING on my desktop or handheld in terms of programs used...etc.  Thanks for your input!
Here is my hotsync log from the desktop

  • IPod Touch calendar no longer syncs with Macbook after upgrade to Mavericks

I have a 2nd Gen iPod Touch, running iOS 4.2.1 (the latest available). My MacBook Air previously ran Mac OSX Lion, and would happily sync the calendar with my iPod. I've just upgraded to Mac OSX Mavericks, which apparently comes with iTunes 11.1, but plugging my iPod into the USB port no longer causes the calendar to sync. I've tried manually syncing through the iTunes interface but it simply ignores the calendar, which remains stuck as it was when I last synced.
What am I doing wrong here?

I too have an older iPod. I do not care much for iCloud or any cloud so what I do is send my calendar to my e-mail and then open it on my iPod. I send Contacts using Adobe and, for me, it works fine. If you are in business and use these apps frequenctly I do not think this would work well for you. Only two options, iCloud or a Server.

    Hello petiar,
Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.
You can use the following article to troubleshoot your sync/charging connection for your iPhone:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Of particular interest to you would be the "Battery or charging issues" under "Power/Battery" and "Not seen in iTunes / USB connection issues" under "General phone and connectivity issues".
    Regards,

I have an I phone 4S that is having almost the same problem, and only some of the newly added contact of the phone are added to the address book, so not a big difference, and its not a solution to get read of all products only because we use apple.

  • How can I restore data from my iPhone after sync with macbook pro?

I accidentally syncronized my Iphone with MacBook Pro on iTunes and lost all data from my phone (calendar, contacts, photos, etc.). Is there a way to recover that information? Thank you!

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You cannot. However, you can solve this problem by setting the iPhone as a new device and upgrading iOS in Settings -> Software Update.
After upgrading iOS, open Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings. Finally, Setup Assistant will let you restore the backup.

  • MS Exchange calendar no longer syncs with new software upgrade for LG Lucid

Recently downloaded new software for LG Lucid.
Seemed to go well.  Mail, OK.  Contacts, OK.
    Google calendar syncs.
Calendar, won't sync with Outlook.  It used to before the upgrade.
Sync buttons are checked in 'accounts'.
    Anyone else having this issue?

        Hi jimmydiplacido!
Its a bummer that the Exchange no longer works since the OS update. Can you elaborate on what happens when you try to establish a connection? Have you tried removing and readding the exchange account? Please keep me posted if this continues.

  • Calendar no longer syncing with iphone after IOS5.

The appointments in Outlook are no longer syncing with my phone after installing IOS5.  I've uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes.  The itunes add-in in Outlook is disabled and no matter how many times I enable it, it disables.  I've reset my phone.  I've replaced items on this phone with calendar and nothing seems to work.  How do I get my appointments on my phone to be able to sync with iCloud?

I'm on a 4S  IOS 7.1 won't show my Google Calendar I have about 8 that should be showing. FIXED!!
I'm posting this here because your answers didn't help with my particular problem but aimed me in the right direction. so maybe this will help someone else.
    ------------------------------ This is what I tried ------------------------------
At the bottom of the calendar app click Calendars there should be a check to the left of your calendar. (my calendars weren't even listed here)
The google.com/calendar/iphoneselect solution. (mine was checked correctly)
Google 2-step verification (I even turned this on to see if it would help)
Deleting all accounts “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and starting over
    ------------------------------ My Solution ------------------------------
Since I deleted all my accounts already this is what worked I don't know why.
    Under “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts”
I added my google account “add account” “Google”... so on. Calendar was selected.
I added a second account “add account” “other” (at bottom) scroll down to “add CalDav Account” under calendars.
    Server= www.google.com
    user name = your email
    password = your password
    description = whatever
    Calendar was selected.
Then I went to “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and down towards the bottom I clicked “default calendar” and set it.
    I hope this helps

If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot. During startup, you’ll see a progress bar, and then the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions. Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is on a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. If you're able to boot, launch the Console application in any of the following ways: ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.) ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens. ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid. Select the most recent panic log under the heading System Diagnostic Reports on the left. If you don't see that heading, select   View ▹ Show Log List   from the menu bar. Post the entire contents of the panic report — the text, please, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don't post shutdownStall, spin, or hang reports.

  • Iphone 6 calendar stopped syncing with Macbook pro calendar

My new iPhone 6 was syncing with the calendar on my MacBook Pro but just stopped. iCloud is enabled on both devices.

It just started working again. Not sure what changed.

  • Ical no longer syncs with macbook

so with the option to sync to the new super duper icloud, there is no longer any sync with the macbook, even though i have "sync with this ipad over wifi" checked.
is there something else i need to do to get the ipad and macbook to sync properly?
i synced the old way, but now of course have three of everything. the option in itunes to replace the ipad's calendar contents with the macbook's didn't work either.
    god, what a mess.
any pointers would be very much appreciated.

I don't have Panther available anymore so I'm shooting in the dark. You might try to stop syncing and then turn syncing back on (the idea is to break the connection and start new) Be sure to have a backup of anything you can't lose.
You might also try trashing iSync preferences.

  • IPhone no longer syncing with Macbook/iPhoto

Phone though synced to another Mac would handshake with Macbook and allow photos to be uploaded. No longer
It also no longer appears in iTunes.
Basically its not there as far as the Macbook is concerned and I'd really like to upload some photos. What gives? Used to do this no problem.
    TIA

You can no longer sync via iTunes. That method of sync was removed (and the 1000+ post thread is arguments over things tangientally related to that).
You need to sync via other means than iTunes, then.
One option is to use iCloud. If you sign into iCloud on all your devices, and then make sure your calendars are in the "iCloud" section on your devices, they should sync.
If you don't want to use iCloud, you could use Google calendars, they operate much the same way (but may be less reliable).
Or if you use Exchange for work, you could sync that way.
Or if none of those are acceptable, you could install OS X Server and set up the calendar server on your local network and use it to sync. This is fairly straightforward "for setting up a UNIX calendar server" but it's not trivial and beyond the scope of a forum post to explain it all

  • IPhone calendar entries not synced with MacBook calendar

I use my iPhone 4S calendar as my primary calendar for entering or modifying events for the simple reason that it's with me most, if not all the time.
But after upgrading my MacBook Air to Mountain Lion last week, calendar entries entered or modified on my iPhone no longer synchronize with the calendar on my MacBook Air.  As such, I have to manually make the entries or modifications on my MacBook Air so that the calendar will be updated when I synchronize it with my iPad.  Am not using iCloud, so the calendar on my MacBook is a local calendar (On My Mac).
Any thoughts on why this is happening and what can I do to fix this?

I have noticed a problem recently, although I can't absolutely be sure it's related to Mountain Lion on the computer.   Perhaps iCloud (which I set up, but am not really using yet).
My specific issue is that if I go into Calendar (formerly iCal) on the mac, and edit an already existing calendar event -- change the time, or move it to another day -- the change doesn't always sync through to the iphone properly.
Example: I had a recurring weekly event for 7:pm on a specific day of the week.  The start time got pushed back to 7:30.  I changed it on the mac, and sync'd to the phone.   However, the change did not get applied to the iphone calendar.  If I edit it on the iphone itself, it will sync back the other way correctly.
Same sort of problem occurs if I move an event from one day to another on the mac.  I will wind up with it showing up on BOTH days on the iphone.  If I delete an item, same thing.
It acts like the iphone versions of calendar entries are write-protected in a way.  If I edit them on the phone, the changes stick and sync properly to the mac.  If I try to do it the other way around, they do not.

  • After switching to iCloud, Outlook 2011 calendar no longer syncs with iCal.

Before iCloud, my Outlook 2011 calendar (Exchange) was syncing locally with iCal, which worked just fine. Once I moved to iCloud, my local calendar was removed by iCloud, and I can no longer sync my Outlook 2011 calendar (Exchange) to my local iCal (I don't want it to sync with iCloud, if that's still possible). How do I get this capability back?

That's not the point.    Before iCloud, Outlook synched with Apple Calendar and/or iCal.    With iCloud, Cal syncs with iPhone and other devices.     Outlook doesn't have to sync with iCloud (although that would certainly be nice).   It just has to continue to sync with Cal, which in turn syncs with devices via iCloud.
But for some inane reason, it doesn't.    If this is Apple's way of forcing people to not use Office and only use Calendar and Apple Mail, they are going to stop the gains they've made in business environments.   Businesses, especially large businesses, use Outlook.   End of story.
Furthermore, Apple's instructions for setting up or deleting iCal and iCloud accounts is complete gibberish.  And I'm a tech who has been working with computers for 32 years.   Apple used to be great at making things easy.  They now suck at it and are just as bad as Microsoft.

  • Calendar no longer syncing with desktop

I have a Centro that has decided to stop syncing with my desktop on the calendar.  Not sure how long it's been doing this--but just double booked myself for an appt and realized my calendars are discrepant from desktop to handheld.  I do NOT sync with microsoft outlook (never have).  I have tried the following solutions:
    1.  handheld overwrite desktop under those specific applications
    2.  Remove and reinstall Palm desktop software (tried this twice)
    3.  soft reset of machine (both desktop and handheld)
    4.  In Sync options, uncheck everyting EXCEPT date book
    5.  DBFixit  (found no errors on my machine)
    6.  Download Centro updated software from palm website (1.03)
There have been no changes to either machine and while the Date book is checked (and says 'synchronize files') during the sync process, this step is consistently skipped when going through items 1-14 (and no mention is made under log of errors...it's as if it doesn't even exist).  I do not see a 'calendar' under application list on desktop sync list.
Honestly, I am so tired of the problems & glitches with this machine (only 6mo in use), I am almost ready to bail on palm after 10 dedicated years.  It's just not worth it with a crash at every turn even for the most rudimentary user (me).  I've had this machine 6 months and love it--but the continual freeze-points like this are too frequent.  Haven't heard any iphone users complain much.
Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.
