Calendar not syncing since iOS5

I've upgraded to Lion and iOS5. Now my Mac and iPhone are not syncing the calendar between them. I have iOS 5 syncing turned on, including calendars... why won't my mac sync? iTunes sync calendar is turned OFF because it says my calendars are being synced over the air. In iCal, the iCloud refresh

This is a problem with Yahoo! Not with your phone or settings. I've been waiting for them to sort this out but decided to switch over to the Google calander instead of putting my life on hold. If you want to do this set up a gmail account for a calander. Go to your yahoo calander on line. Click on your calander title (eg. Bill's calander) then select edit calander export it as an iCal file to your desktop. Go back to google calendar and import the file you saved on the desktop. Your calander will now transfer to google. You will need to edit your all day events (google calander will assume they run from midnight to midnight) but once you have done this set up calander sync on your iPhone via gmail, dump the calander sync from yahoo and your up and syncing over the air again.

    Any suggestions?

    Hey Bo Lundby Jaeger,
I'd try out the troubleshooting steps in the following document. There's some steps within that might help resolve the Evernote issue as well:

  • YAHOO CALENDAR NOT SYNCING WITH IOS5

After upgrading to IOS5, I cannot get my phone to sync with Yahoo's calendar. The e-mail and contacts are fine, but I've tried every which way I can think of, including using the cloud, and can not get it to work. It was working fine with the old operating system.

  • Calendars not updating since getting iphone5

My calendars not updating since getting iphone5
Used to work OK  before I upgraded, but I can't see why it's not happening.
Other device is my wifes ipad and iphone

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g

Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g.
    Solution
Create backup of your entire mailbox before starting (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
Create offline folder (.pst file) Check windows help on how to do this for your version.
    Open folders view on Outlook
Right click on Calendar in tree view and 'copy to' offline .pst folder
Go back to main calendar view and delete all entries in your calendar.
Create simple cal entry and sync test with iphone
If this works then start dragging cal entries back from the offline folder into the main calendar then sync after each step....
I moved events in this order
    -Yearly recurrences (ie Birthdays)
    - Monthly recurrences
    - weekly recurrences
    - Daily recurrences
All appointments from the beginning of this year >> to the end of time!
If all these sync then the issue is with an older cal item and you have to decide if you actually need these in you current calendar.
I chose to leave these in the offline cal and if i need access them from there.
If at any point the sync fails then you know you have a corrupt cal entry in the block you just transferred. Move the offending items back into the offline folder and try again in smaller chunks until you identify the offending items and delete them and manually recreate them in your real calendar.
Also smart to run the inbox (.pst /.ost ) repair tools for your OS/Outlook version.
    Fixed so far
    XP Pro / Outlook 2008
    XP Pro /Outlook 2003

I just updated the firmware to iPhone 2.0.1 and the syncing works great both ways.

  • I recently asked a question regarding my ipad calendar not syncing.  Now I noticed I am unable to even add an event ( the   sign in the upper right hand corner) is greyed out, nothing happens when you touch it.  My notes aren't syncing either

Calendar not syncing, unable to add events as the + sign at the top right is greyed out and nothing happens when you touch it.  Then realized that my Notes aren't syncing either nor are my reminders.  What the heck is going on.  This ipad mini is just barely 6 months old.  Software is up to date.  Someone please help me.
I have always wanted an ipad now beginning to wonder why...

Turns out once I shut down the iPad and turned it back on my issues were resolved.
    Thank you

  • IPhone calendar not syncing

Please help. I am at my wit's end. I cannot get my iPhone calendar to sync to icloud nor to my Mac. Sometimes some events from my phone sync, sometimes not. I cannot figure out how to get everything to go where it should. iCloud and iCal seem to be in sync. New events from my phone do not sync. I have searched every thread I can find on the subject, no help for me. I do not use Outlook nor google calendars. Just iPhone, iCal, and iCloud. I only started using iCloud because it seemed to be the answer to this problem when my phone stopped syncing to iCal. It still doesn't work. I have tried turning off all my calendars, signing out of iCloud in my Mac's System Preferences, changing how far back events on my phone will sync, all to no avail.

I had the same problem too with certain calendars not syncing. I deleted my MobileMe account from my iPhone and then added it back again. All my data including the calendars that were not syncing repopulated my iPhone in just a few minutes. Everything seems to be working fine now.

  • Why will my icloud calendar not sync between my iphone and calendar on Outlook PC?

Why will my icloud calendar not sync between my iphone and calendar on Outlook PC?

I think I may be having the same issue In a round about kind of way.  Just got an iPhone4S ... everything worked great until today when I started tinkering with the settings in my new phone and noticed my cloud was getting full and I had two iPhone back ups on there at 4GB a piece.  So.... I deleted the old back up of the iPhone4 and after that is when I started noticing issues.  The cloud on my phone can no longer authenticate itself , unable to tell me when the last back up was, and will not perform a back up at all. Furthermore I am unable to download apps or updates on my iphone4S, they all sit in "waiting" status....
I also must say that I purchased an iPad 2 and still have my original ipad in the house and active.  Both back ups are in the cloud and both devices work fine independently and can download apps and back up fine as well. I'm pretty sure this may be the culprit concerning this issue and I too have no idea how to fix it. Please Help!!!

  • Icloud calendar not syncing

I've added appointments to my calendar on iMac and it doesn't sync on iPhone and iPad.  Same with the address book. I will change info on one of my devices and it doesn't change on the others.  I checked in System Preferences under iCloud, both calendar and address book are selected.  Same with devices.
Any other things I should be doing? Or where can I find more troublehshooting tips. Thanks.

    Contacts not syncing.
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.
    Calendars not syncing.

  • IPhone Calendar not syncing correctly with iCal since Lion-install

Since installing Lion, the calendar on my iPhone is not syncing correctly:
Events created on my iPhone don't show on my Mac
Events edited on my iPhone don't change on my Mac
Events that I created in iCal on my Mac, for test-purposes, and then deleted immediately, show up on the iPhone when syncing.
    Syncing through iTunes (not MobileMe).
Using WeekCal on my iPone, but it seems that the same is the case with the "original" calendar-app.
No similar experience prior to Lion-install.
iPhone is iOS 4.3.4 -up to date
Any ideas? Does anybody know how to reset the sync, for instance?

Hi, my name is Lucas, i'm an Apple Certified Technitian.
Last couple of weeks i've installed OSX Lion in a few Macs.
But one of them drove me crazy!
I have a Late 2007 White Macbook and i installed OSX Lion last week. I also have an iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) that i also updated to IOS 4.3.5 ... no problems syncing between them
Then i did the same with a 13'' Unibody MacBook Pro and an iPhone 4 (not unlocked)... no problems neither
Yesterday i installed Lion on a Mid2010 15" MacBook Pro and updated another iPhone 4 (Factory Unlocked) to IOS 4.3.5 and when i tried to sync the iphone with iTunes 10.4 nothing happened.
I mean, nothing.. the iTunes started syncing and when it gets to sync the calendars it stayied there forever.
I left it for hours and nothing.
As i said i'm an ACT so i tried everything.
1- Remove Calendars from iPhone and syncing again
    1- Repair Permittions
    2- Reinstall iTunes
3- Reset iTunes and iCal Preferences and Caches
4- Backup iCal - erase ical content and generate a new iCal database
5- Reset Syncing Prefs and logs
6- Use DiskWarrior from an external OSX
    7- Reset PRAM
    Nothing worked.
I thought it could be some conflict with Microsoft Outlook and/or Exchange server since this Mac is the only one of the three macs i installed that uses Outlook Sync and Exchange server and it's the only one that gave me trouble.
But disableing it didn't worked neither.
    THE SOLUTION
I Already solved this thing out. But i still don't understand the logic of all this... anyway, what y did is this:
1- turn off microsoft outlook sync with iCal (from outlook preferences)
2- Backed up iCals (Just in case)
3- Create a new Calendar Category (by default you have Work and Home... i created one called Test)
4- i Created a new task at that calendar
5- In iTunes uncheck the "Sync iCal" box and sync the iPhone
6- Check th "Sync iCal" box, then check the "sync the selected calendars" box
7- Check the "Test" calendar and sync the iPhone.
This worked so i started creating task in this Test Calendar both in iphone and mac, just to test it, Worked fine.
Then i selected all the other calendars (Home - Work - etc) and i turned on the outlook sync
Then i synced the iPhone and Voilà everything is working again.
Now i can create task in outlook calendar and when y sync the iphone it appears on it.
I don't know what the problem is... but this looks like the solution
    HOpe it works for you!

  • Exchange calendar not sync on 3.1 (iPhone 2G)

    Hi,
For some strange reason our Exchange 2007 (latest SP) does not sync the calendar on one of our 2G iPhones setup with Exchange.
Strangely, both the Address Book and the Mail app syncs perfectly.
    Anyone else experienced this?

I have the same problem since IOS 8.0.2 on an IPHONE 5 , my Exchange account updates fine on Email, as do other Email services. But the Calendar does not, I've also tried Push or Fetch but it does not seem to matter.  Gmail Calendar does not have the same problem and updates fine.
My alternative is,  within Calendar select "CALENDARS" (botom center), with al options checked , pull the screen down for a refresh and missing Exchange Appointments will apear.
I hope a permanent solution will be available soon though.

  • IPhone Contacts & Calendars not syncing with mobileme

Apologies if there is a solution to this posted already, I can't find it despite extensive searching!
My iPhone Calendars & Contacts do not sync with MobileMe. I can't find a way of exporting or saving the data on the iPhone and importing it into my desktop iCal & Contacts apps.
I have looked at all troubleshooting help I can find, and all is suggested is deleting/ resetting the phone & syncing from MobileMe. However, if I do this I will lose lots of contacts & calendar entries.
The data will NOT sync from my phone despite following all available instructions. My desktop apps are all set to sync with MobileMe & this works fine, it's just the iPhone data will not transfer to MobileMe.
    Please help!!

Since you are syncing your iPhone with your Mac, it should be syncing your contacts and calendars with your Mac as well (and your bookmarks if you have it set up to sync). You should have Mobile Me setup on your Mac to at least sync your Calendars and Contacts, which should be updating your Mobile Me account. If you want to check to make sure that all of your contacts that are on your iPhone are on your Mac, simply open up the Contacts App. Once you check this, add your Mobile Me account to your iPhone and let it sync your contacts and calendars, it will delete all the contacts and calendars that are currently on your iPhone, but the same data is on your Mac anyways. Once Mobile Me syncs with your iPhone you won't have to worry about it anymore.
If you are having problems where you already setup your Mobile Me account on your iPhone and it's not syncing properly, deleted it, restart your iPhone, then add it again.
    Does this help?

  • Leopard, iPhone, calendars  not syncing

I get this error message on both my desktop and my laptop:
"iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone "iPhone" because an error occurred while merging data."
As of right now only my iPhone has my current calendars, so I can't overwrite the iPhone calendar. If anything I need to overwrite the Mac's calendar.
Message was edited by: W. Robert Newberry

I have been having some weird things happening with iSync since upgrading to Leopard on a couple of my Macs. First of all when I try to sync the iPhone now I get a message saying that " iTunes could not sync mail accounts to the iPhone because an error occurred remapping record identifiers" A long call to iPhone support left them baffled too and the problem unresolved. This never happened in Tiger since getting the iPhone back in July, all syncs went just fine. Apple's "solution" right now is to have me turn off syncing the Mail accounts to the iPhone. That doesn't seem right because any account changes now have to be put into the Mac/s and iPhone manually and separately. Needs a fix.
Then trying to add a G5 running Tiger into the list of computers on the iSync chain, ( the other three Macs now running in Leopard ), bought in another raft of problems mainly all machines continuously asking for permission to sync each application/info' file all the time until I stopped the syncing by turning iSync off. Leopard doesn't seem to like Tigers around, I had to take the G5/Tiger OS machine out of the loop.
So hopefully we'll get fixes for these problems unless it's something I am doing wrong now under Leopard........
    Any ideas?

  • ICal, contacts not syncing since Mountain Lion upgrade

    Greetings,
I upgraded my iMac directly from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion a few weeks ago. Since then, Apple pushed OSX 10.8.1 which is what I am currently running.
Since upgrading to 10.8, my iTouch (software: 4.2.1) is not syncing properly. I'm having problems with both Contacts and iCal.
Contacts does not sync at all.
The iCal issue is strange. iCal appears to sync, but everything that was previously on the calendar and everything I enter into the calendar on my iMac cannot be edited on my iTouch. If I create a new iCal entry on the iTouch, I can edit it on both the iTouch and iMac.
I've googled Mountain Lion-related sync issues and have seen a lot of discussions related to this. But I haven't come across a solution that fixes my problems.
Before I upgraded the iMac to Mountain Lion, the syncs were flawless.
I feel like I've been sucked back into PC ****.
I don't live near an Apple store, and the few independent Apple dealerships nearby haven't been able to help.
Can anyone help? Is Apple working on a fix to this?
    Thanks and regards,
    Jerry

I'm having a similar issue too since upgrading to 10.8.1 on my iMac and MacBook Pro.
My contacts are no longer syncing and my groups have gone missing.
Occasionally the Contacts indicates it can't complete the process because of a coreDAVerror.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Mark
