Call Forwarding / Displayed Number on Forwarding target with H.323 Gateway
Hi Community,
i´m wondering if there is sort of a simple way to get this working properly.
Scenario:
Germany, variable dial plan, no fixed NANP, and we have ClipNoScreening ;)
We use 0 for getting PSTN-dialing.
We have internal DNs, for example a 6789, 4 Digits. We use external phone number mask on our lines, 123456XXX
Our main number is 0123/456-xxx
When i call outside everything is displayed fine on the called target, +49 123/456789.
When i forward a call on my cellphone, with CFA target of 00111/222333444 (my cellphone example), and an internal colleague from within our office, is calling my office phone, everything is ALSO displayed fine.
Now here comes the BUT:
When someone calls from PSTN on my office-phone, i get displayed on my cellphone the +49 (0) 0xxxxxxxx, which means the caller number PLUS the added 0 from the gateway. Which is completely consequent and correct, since we add them on the gateway, when a call comes in, to be able to just answer directly on the office phone.
The rule on the H323 gateway:

In case of forwarding the external call to an external device, like for example a cellphone, this is crap.
Its obvious regarding the debugs all is working as designed ;), because my phone just forwards the full calling number including the added 0, since i put in to forward the originating calling DN.
My question now:
Can i simply correct this behavior somehow, also for international calls which would the 00 get added by the gateway?
Many thanks in advance for some input,
Andreas

Can Call Manager support network side Q.931 from H.323 gateways
With CCM 3.1, is it possible to support network side E1 Q.931 on a H.323 gateway. This would allow PABXs to connect to CCM, which then allow CCM to act as a tandem exchange.
The network side support on the H323 gateway
is transparent to the CCM. They are two seperate call legs.
1. pots for E1 PRI and
2. voip call leg to CCM.
The support for network side PRI is on 2600/3600/3700/7700/AS5300,AS5800
and its been available since 12.1(3)T and please use
a more recent image 12.2T train ip plus at the least. -
Display Skype Number on Forwarded Calls
First, I have a Skype Number and I pay for a Skype Premium account. My Skype Account stays forwarded most of the time to another phone.
When someone calls my Skype Number and it forwards to phone, I would like my Skype Number to be displayed on my phone as the Caller ID. Is this possible?
Thanks,
Marktechnically it would be a violation of Skype terms and conditions for three users to use the same Skype account, but a call to a shared Skype Name will ring, more or less simulataneously, on all Skype clients where this Skype Name is signed in
but it IS possible to forward any unanswered call to as many as three other Skype Names at the same time -- ringing stops when one of those users answers the incoming call, and it does not matter if they are already in a call (essentially Skype has built-in Call Waiting capability)
these users can each have their own calling subscription, and it sounds like Unlimited Europe would be a likely candidate -- whether you administer these accounts under Skype Manager is up to you, and the main consideration will likely be whether you want to fund the subs centrally, or let each user expense the services separately

CLID - Forwarded Call Information Display
All of the phones below are 79xx phones within the same cluster, same partitions and with the same CSSes.
Phone A forwards all of his calls to Phone C.
Phone B calls Phone A, but sees the alerting name and extension for Phone C on his display.
Under the line configuration, Forwarded Call Information Display, the only items checked are Caller Name and Dialed Number. How can I get Phone B to see Phone A's information even though Phone A is forwarded to Phone C?
Thanks,
TimI dont think that is possible,
I tried it to using a Translation Pattern.
and I was only able to restrict it but not to change it.
Afaik Originator IP Phone will use SCCP CallInfo message and will display the contents of:
calledPartyName=
calledParty=
field after a CallState callState=3

Timfor 4.13 SR3C, there is no option for manipulating the CLID information during a Call Forward between IP Phone calls.
if you have an IP Phone call through a QSig gateway (ISDN), then there are parameters in the 'service parameters' section of ccmAdmin that can be set.
(this does not seem like the case in your environment)
to make this work in your environment, you'll have to setup the phone C with the alerting/numbers you want displayed to phone A, when it calls phone B while cfwd'd to phone C.
(not a real good solution and not recommended for obvious reasons) -
Forwarding displays SKYPE number incorrectly
We use a skype number to forward to our landline phone. Until recently, when someone called the number, the originating caller id was shown on the receiving phone (correctly).
Recently, the caller ID we see when someone calls is a generic Bakersfield CA number (661-380-4773 is an example).
How do i get the original caller's caller ID to display on the destination phone??I'm having similar recent issues, have you had any luck solving this?

Restriction to the number of forwards in one request?
is it true, that the number of forwards you can do in one request is restricted?
someone told me, that ther is a restriction of 2 or 3 forwards since the servlet spec 2.2.
he told me further, that only the servlet engines, which follow the spec strictly, have problems with more forwards.
i have already tried to find any statement in the spec, but without success.
has anybody out there watched this problem?
thank you for helping me!ok, i have found somehting in the spec:
"The forward method of the RequestDispatcher interface may only be called by the calling servlet if no output has been committed to the client... If the response has been committed, an IllegalServletException must be thrown."
But I see there no limitation in the number of forwards, as long as I do not make a response.
Is that right? -
Re: How much does just a skype number and forwardi...
I am wondering how much does call forwarding cost? (Before I sign up for it)
I had a local Brazilian phone number and I just cancelled the service, because:
1) Quality calls on the PC were very bad
2) I thought I should try call forwarding the number to a landline to help with the quality call
3) I discovered that I had to pay extra for call forwarding
4) I have no idea how much call forwarding cost, there isn't a place on the website that tells me its cost before I sign up for it.
So, my question is how much does call forwarding cost? For now, my local BR number is cancelled.
Thanks.fols wrote:

hello...my questions is related to objective C..
Is it possible to display name of the person who is calling me whose number is saved in my local database but not in iphone contacts ?.ashish35,
No one from Apple here - we're just users like you. All I can tell you is that electronic fail and with MacBook Pros (and most notebooks) the components are so integrated as to make a repair to the logic board practically impossible, hence the high prices charged for repairs.
Only you can decide if you want to have your computer repaired or put the money towards the purchase of a new computer. If you do decide to purchase a new unit I would suggest that you also purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan which increases your warranty from one year to three years.
Sorry and good luck,

N82 caller display: displays number but not the na...
Hi, I have a Nokia N82 running on the Fido network in Canada. I have the caller ID display and I'm supposed to have the name display combined with the number display. So when someone calls me, it should say the name AND the number. Here's the description:
"It's a service that lets you see the incoming caller's phone number and NAME on your phone's display even if they're not in your address book. So you'll always know who's calling you."
But what happens on my phone is that it only displays the number, not the name. Is there some special setting to enable that or my phone is just incompatible with the network? When the caller is in my contact, the name displays. It seems that the phone cannont display both at the same time or something like this...
Please help. ThanksIf it's a service your talking about then you need to get in contact with the company that runs that service.As i know full well that if a name is not in your phone book then only the number will show.

How is your iPhone's display different?
You can check the model number by going to Settings/General/About. These are the model numbers for the various 3 GS models;
MB715LL/A (16 GB Black), MB716LL/A (16 GB White), MB717LL/A (32 GB Black), MB718LL/A (32 GB White), MC555LL/A (8GB) -

This is a concern amoung many corporate users. It's going to take somekind of policy change with apple.

When I press on a land line number, the phone does not call the number, but comes up with a screen to send a text to it. How do I get my phone to default to phoneing a landline? When I press a mobile number in contacts, the phone automatically phones the number. I do not mind this as I hardly ever send texts, but I would like to have the option of what to do. This seems such an obvious issue but I can not solve it even with much web searching. Thanks!
I can't delete my question, so I'll just say that you press on the type of number written in the box to the left of the box you typye the number into. Dumb or what?

Forward the request to a window with specific parameters
page0.asp->page1.jsp
When the user click submit button in page0.asp, it will post the form
request to page1.jsp.
page0.asp and page1.jsp are in separate machines. In page1.jsp, based
on the parameter
interfaceName, it will forward to different jsp pages. However, we want
to forward the request
to a window with parameter like the following, without the menu bar and
toolbar.
The question is how to forward the request to a window like that?
window.open("test2.jsp",null,
"height=500,width=500,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no");
//page1.jsp
<%
String interfaceName = request.getParameter("interfaceName");
if (interfaceName != null)
{ if (interfaceName.equalsIgnoreCase("id1"))
url="/id1.jsp";
else if (interfaceName.equalsIgnoreCase("id2"))
url="/id2.jsp";
else if (interfaceName.equalsIgnoreCase("id3"))
url="/id3.jsp";
//etc...
request.getRequestDispatcher(url).forward(request,response);
%>
Please help and advise. thanks!!The server cannot decide where to send its response to. It can only send
it to where the request came from.More specifically... to the server, the browser itself makes the request. Where the browser wants to put the response is entirely up to the browser.
Unfortunately, you can't really use ECMAScript (JavaScript) after the response is returned to redirect it. I suppose you could copy the DOM contents of the response page into another frame's document or something, but that's just ugly.
and don't cross-post...
