Call Crystal Report 8 from JSP?
Can anyone help me on how to call Crystal Report 8 (*.rpt) from JSP page? The JSP is deploy into J2EE application.
Thanks
KennyThere is not any direct support, but you can use INet Crystal Clear API. It comes with an Applet client, and you can use that applet client from jsp to display crystal reports.

Running a crystal reports viewer from forms
Greetings,
I am using Oracle Forms 10g!!
I have a form that is used to invoke a crystal report viewer using the HOST command. The viewer has the ability to pass in a id and password. When I try to run it I get:
Logon failed.
Details: IM003:Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 998 (Oracle in Oracle_HOME)
The report runs fine otherwise.
Regards,
Bill ChadbourneI have the following in my WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger:
CLIENT_HOST('cmd /c "C:\Program Files\Jeff-Net Report Runner Viewer\JNRRE.EXE" jnreport=H:\OC\Computer Services\Oracle Database\DFACrystalReports\EPA_PTS\COST_RECOVER.RPT jnid=rs_ray jnpassword=rs_ray') ;
When I click the button I receive:
Logon failed.
Details: IM003:Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 998 (Oracle in Oracle_HOME)
If I change the trigger text to:
CLIENT_HOST(' cmd /c "C:\Program Files\Jeff-Net Report Runner Viewer\JNRRE.EXE jnreport=H:\OC\Computer Services\Oracle Database\DFACrystalReports\EPA_PTS\COST_RECOVER.RPT jnid=rs_ray jnpassword=rs_ray" ') ;
(From the CMD window) 'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
I would rather not use a .bat file, if possible.

Problem calling a report (9i) from forms (9i)
I keep getting the errors when I try to run a report from a form:
REP-0110: Unable to Open File '~aads' (there is always garbage in this field)
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document
In my form I have:
DECLARE
repid REPORT_OBJECT;
v_rep VARCHAR2(100);
rep_status VARCHAR2(20);
BEGIN
repid := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT('MYREP');
v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
END;
I have the report MYREP created under the Report Node in the Object Navigator as follows:
Name: MYREP
Filename: f:\rep_version44.rdf
Execution Mode: Runtime
Communication Mode: Synchronous
Report Destination Type: Screen
Everything else is blank. I have no idea what to put in for Report Server name or if I need one at all.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.Hi,
is Filename: f:\rep_version44.rdf a n etwork drive ? If yes then this is the problem if not having assigned the HTTP process a network username with teh required privileges.
Btw.: Your should sue the Reports Server to run Reports as explained in the Whitepaper on otn.oracle.com/products/forms

Accessing clustered report servers from Forms
Hi
The "Oracle Fusion Middleware Publishing Reports to the Web with Oracle Reports Services 11g R2 (11.1.2)" manual in Section 2.5 talks about setting up a High Availability environment for Reports.
It discusses how to set the cluster configuration and how to create a reports job repository in the database. It says that you need to have a unique name for each report server, finally it says that you should use Oracle Web Cache to load balance for the reports cluster.
If you are calling the report server from Forms with a run_report_object then you don't go via the web cache, so I am confused how you send your report request to the reports cluster in a load balanced fashion.
Has anyone done this or can explain how this works for Forms?
TIA
TonyI know that this is an old thread, but I've taken the liberty to bump it up, as I have the same question.
The Reports documentation describes quite succinctly how to configure the report servers to be clustered - no problem there.
The issue is that when you run a report from forms using run_report_object, you are required to specify a report server name. The Reports docs specify that all of the server names must be unique, so this seems to indicate that you cannot use a clustered report server environment from Forms, or am I missing something somewhere? Oh, wait - an insight coming here - Can you (I'll test this, but it would be good to know) specify a cluster name instead of an actual report server name? Google to the rescue:
Using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT: If the call specifies a Reports Server cluster name instead of a Reports Server name, the reports_servermap environment variable must be set in the Oracle Forms Services default.env file. If your Oracle Forms application uses multiple Reports Server cluster names, you can map each of those cluster names to a different Reports Server using reports_servermap in rwservlet.properties, as follows:
There's the answer. Sometimes writing the question down helps figure out the answer :)

URGENT!!! calling crystal reports from oracle forms 10g
Is it possible to call crystal reports from oracle forms 10g?
Can someone help to answer how, if there is a solusion, to call crystal reports from oracle forms 10g.
Please provide codes with details showing step by step.
Thankshi
try something like this.
DECLARE
charWinHandle VARCHAR2(50);
numWinHandle NUMBER;
BEGIN Set_Application_Property(Cursor_Style,'BUSY');
charWinHandle := Get_Item_Property('Control.Rep',Window_Handle);
numWinHandle := To_Number(charWinHandle);
:Item('Control.CrystalReport1').OCX.Crystal.Crysta lReport.WindowParentHandle
:= numWinHandle;
:Item('Control.CrystalReport1').OCX.Crystal.Crysta lReport.WindowState := 2;
:Item('CONTROL.CRYSTALREPORT1').OCX.Crystal.Crysta lReport.Connect
:= 'DSN=;UID=' || Get_Application_Property(UserName) ||
';pwd=' || Get_Application_Property(password) || ';dsq=;';
Crystal_CrystalCtrl.ReportFileName( :Item('Control.CrystalReport1').interface,
'C:\Sample_Rep.Rpt' );
Set_Window_Property( Forms_Mdi_Window, Window_State,Maximize );
Set_Window_Property( 'MAIN', Window_State, Maximize );
:reptitle := 'Report Preview Window';
numWinHandle := Crystal_CrystalCtrl.PrintReport( :Item('Control.CrystalReport1').interface );
Set_Application_Property(Cursor_Style,'DEFAULT');
END;NOTE: Change the report name and path according to your required file name and path in
the "Crystal_CrystalCtrl.ReportFileName" method call. Also, the connection string shown
assumes that you will use the current USER and PASSWORD for the Form.
- To make the above Form generic so that you can run any Crystal report from it, then create
a parameter for the report name and pass it to the Form using CALL_FORM from any other Form.
Then just replace the file name with the passed parameter.
-. Run the Form
If its correct/helpful please mark it thanks.

Hi All,
We are migrating form from Oracle form 6i to Oracle 10g(10.1.2.0.2). I am calling reports from forms
using Web.Show_Docment(). When we run reports in report builder 10g it works fine.
But when we try to run reports from Forms 10g it throws error which is given below.
We want to run reports from UNIX. After using this url to submit report we get error REP 110 and REP 0110
URL
http://GEM:7777/reports/rwservlet?server=rep_server&report=/u01/forms/QA_Forms10g/GEMREP.rdf+DESTYPE=CACHE+DESFORMAT=HTML+p_user_id=XYZ+p_client=2
ERROR
REP-110: File '/u01/forms/QA_Forms10g/GEMREP.rdf DESTYPE=CACHE DESFORMAT=HTML p_user_id=XYZ p_client=2' not found.
REP-0110: Unable to open file '/u01/forms/QA_Forms10g/GEMREP.rdf DESTYPE=CACHE DESFORMAT=HTML p_user_id=XYZ p_client=2'.
I will really appreciate your help.
Thanks
SandyHello,
You are mixing 2 separators in the URL : & and +
Use only one separator in the URL :
Example :
http://GEM:7777/reports/rwservlet?server=rep_server+report=/u01/forms/QA_Forms10g/GEMREP.rdf+DESTYPE=CACHE+DESFORMAT=HTML+p_user_id=XYZ+p_client=2
