Calling report from forms while running the application from thin clients

I am using thin client technology with 64MB RAM for running developer 6i application.
The server has windows 2000 advanced server with 256 MB RAM.
When I run the apllication from a single client, it works fine even for multiple windows.
But the moment I switch on more thin clients, the client which fired the printing job first works fine, while the others allow data entry using forms but any call to report for direct printing throws an illegal condition error. I have tried both run_product and host option for running reports. The error returned is the same.
Howver if the report is run from command prompt simultaneously from both the clients it works fine.
Immediate help required in this case
chandandeep

Hi,
you better off using Run_Report_Object() instead of Run_Product(). There is a Whitepaper available on otn.oracle.com/products/forms that details this. The problem that you run into is that Forms Services(thin clients) are multi user environments while Reports called via Run_Product() is a single user environment. This means that the Reports Runtime does not handle Reports requests in parallel but sequential one at a time. The first user blocks the runtime engines and all other hang for this time.

    Juhi..

    Dear Juhi,
The "app name" thing is what I tried telling you yesterday. I advice you to reset the client data from settings link in client, sync a couple of times, check the status of the undeployed app in the Web Console / NWA, and if problem persists, remove assignment of the new app, sync couple of times, and then add app again.
By the way, have you got the name thing right? See the Application name, not the project name should be the same with the name of the war/sda file and the app/component name in the j2ee engine. I had wanted you to see the following text in your NWDS help - > SAP Net. Dev. Studio Doc.->MI Dev./MDK ->Go and create ->First Example JSP:
The class SystemInfo extends AbstractMEHttpServlet which extends javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet itself. The method doHandleEvent does:
Implemented Classes in the Servlet for the Example
We create a class SystemInfo that extends the class AbstractMEHttpServlet and implements Constants. Constants is an interface in which we define all relevant variables for the application. All variables used in Constants are written in uppercase characters. So anytime you see an uppercase variable used in class SystemInfo you will find the definition in interface Constants.
The class SystemInfo extends AbstractMEHttpServlet which extends javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet itself. The method doHandleEvent does:
    public String getApplicationName()
This method has to be overwritten. It returns the name of the MI client application. The name specified here has to be the same used for the WAR file name and the name of the application specified in the MI Webconsole.

    1) Is this a new issue? Has your keyboard worked fine before?
    2) Is you keyboard hanging up when you run a specific application? Does it hang up at boot up?
    3) What operating system are you running?

When you installed MySQL the assemblies should have been registered in the GAC. I would remove the current MySQL references and then re-add them through the .NET tab. You probably only need to add MySql.Data (see below):
Do not add any of the other libraries unless your application is using them.
If, and only if, you will be running your app on another computer should you set the Copy Local property to True. If you are only running the app on your computer or MySQL is already installed on the other computers then set it to False.

    Hi,
There might be possibility that the page you are running might be getting called from another page from the instance.
If that is the case, PR method will not be getting the parameters required.
Check the PR method of CO file.

    Hi Gibi,
Form Freeze mode stops you from seeing any updates on the screen (to prevent the flickering effect) until you unfreeze it.
The linked button will only display once the field has been filled and the form is "un frozen".

    Hi,
    Finally I fixed this issue.
I ran the SybaseServerSync.v35.CAB on the device emulator. Then tried the program. It worked. This helps establish the synchronization between the device and the SUP server. This CAB file can be located at the path <UnwiredServerInstallationLocation>\UnwiredPlatform\ClientAPI\RBS\WM\ServerSync.

Is it 9i Jdeveloper or 10G. Also check the Jdeveloper is being run on a compatible database. A Jdeveloper for 11i should run on an instance having 11i installed and same for R12. Also check the version of OA Frameworrk in the Jdeveloper you are using and the version deployed in instance.

    Hi Rameshkumar,
The workaround mentioned by Chris will not be required in future versions of TopLink 10.1.3. We have removed our dependency on the 3-arg javax.xml.namespace.QName constructor that is not present in the WebLogic 8.1 distribution of the QName class.

    Thanks,
    Pavan.

    Hello Pavan,
You have not configured the web service client proxy properly. Please follow the SAP note : 682619 to have a look at the configuration guide (for 04) on how to configure the same.
In short, to set up Basic Authentication in a Java environment:
    1. Log on to the Visual Administrator.
    2. On the Cluster tab, choose Server <x> > Services > Web Services Security.
    3. Choose Web Service Clients > sap.com > tcwdpdfobject > com.sap.tc.webdynpro.adsproxy.AdsProxy*ConfigPort_Document.
    4. Check that the url mentioned there is correct (Thats the location where ADS is running as a web service). If not, please modify the URL (switch to Custom) to point it to the right location. You are required to change only the host and port in the URL. You can test the URL on your browser to be 100% sure.
    5. From the Authentication list, select BASIC.
    6. In the User and Password boxes, enter as Username ADSUser and a Password (consult your ADS administrator got the same).
    7. Choose Save.
    8. The authentication data must be activated. For doing this navigate to Services > Deploy.
    9. Choose the button Application.
    10. Choose sap.com/tcwdpdfobject in the tree.
    11. Choose Stop Application.
    12. For restarting the application choose Start Application.
    13. Test your application
If your Adobe Document Service is running at the URL provided and you are authorised to access the service with the username and password provided then you should not get the execption any more.
It seems you are still running on SP09. Thats pretty old. SAP has released SP16 offlate. I would suggest you to upgrade to more recent SP release.
    Best Regards,
    Krish

That'll pop up another consoleI'm under the impression that the console window he is seeing is the one which cmd.exe opens when it is executing the batch file. And that batch file won't return until the java process has completed because he didn't start it in the background to let the batch file continue and terminate.
So I don't think just simply substituting java with javaw will do much good either. Still think he needs a "start" command in that batch file.
    So now he can try:
    start java -jar ...
    or
    start javaw -jar ...Fair point
