Camera Extras app for Lumia 900

I can't find the Camera extras anywhere. I do appear to have the Play To (DLNA) and other features like tethering. Am I doing something wrong, or are those seperate updates that will come at a later date?

The Camera extra app is available for Lumia 800 with Firmware 1750.0805.8773.12220 or higher and 710 with Firmware 1600.3030.8773.12120 or higher. The app will gradually become available for different regions.
I will inquire about availability for Lumia 900 and let you know.

Hi all,
You can use this QR code to get the Camera Extras app from Marketplace if it does not yet show up. Press the search button, then the scan icon (it looks like an eye) and point the camera at the screen. Or use your favourite QR scan app. Make sure you have the latest OS and firmware versions installed as these are required to use this app.

Screen capture app for lumia 900

Does anyone know of a screen capture app for the Lumia 900? I've searched but can't seem to find one. Tks!

Whilst there is no such application upon Windows Marketplace due to constraints of Windows Phone OS this is not the whole story; although now that Chevron WP unlock defunct there only remains the option to pay Microsoft $99 for Windows phone app hub developer account, which would allow a "Screen Capturer" to be installed.

Please wireless printer built in (nokia market) app for lumia 900.
I've used nokia wirelss builtin with n95 and it is perfect.
I feel struggle to print photo or attachment with lumia 900 and nothing worked.

ability to replace the print head if it ever clogs (that's
what always happened with the Epson's).
Actually, Epson's print head design is very different from Canon and HP. They put the "head" in printer not cartridge. This way you can keep re-using print head and save "resource", but it also means the print head nozzles would clog by dried ink or dirt. Indeed, the Epson cartridge is not cheap, it is because its ink can produce better quality of prints.
The alternitive way is to use Continuous Ink System, check this out -

I suspect InkRepublic's cleaning kit, i-Remove, is to "suck up" the dirt or dried ink. This is different from other cleaning kit. They have very detailed installation information on their site:

Counter App for Lumia 820

Hi all,
There is counters app for lumia 800, why not this is available for 820 ?
There is no app which counts the calls dialed, calls recieved, total call duration, SMS counts like how many are sent/ recieved till now. Some one knows regarding this.
Please help me.

Its really disappointing that we don't have it on wp 8 and it is widely available for wp 7 devices.

7.8 for Lumia 900

While I understand that "Nokia does not publish the expected release dates for new software versions", I am becoming very frustrated that my phone refuses to begin the updated process three weeks after it was 'released' (I have an unlocked Lumia 900 and live in Australia).
It really, really ticks me off as I migrated from Android phones, which currently have infinitely fewer frustrations than WP, and even then their updates came thick and fast. It seems WP isn't competent enough to roll out a single update properly in the full year I've had my phone.
Please someone give me some hope that 7.8 is somewhere on the horizon.

Email password for Lumia 900

Hello,
I have four email accounts on my Lumia 900. Two of them, which are Yahoo! accounts, are acting up. All of a sudden, periodically, the email client will ask for the passwords for both accounts (whereas the other two accounts-a work email account and a gmail account) are auto-retrieving emails just fine.
What could have made my Yahoo! accounts act this way where it is asking for my password? The passwords are saved in the settings. Could it be my smpt and pop setting address??

As I read your post I assume you have four accounts in use. A business mail account, a gmail and two Yahoo accounts.
If you only check one Yahoo account do you experience the same behavior or is this only when you try and access two different accounts through the same server?

Charge cord too short for Lumia 900.

The charge cord for the Lumia 900 should be a little longer. Even with the plugin right off the side of my bed the charge cord is not long enough for me to be able to read off of my Lumia 900 without needing to unplug my phone from the charger. (To read news articles the phone has to be in the portrait orientation with the Windows home button at the bottom. My Samsung Focus charge cord length was long enough.

Thanks Kosh and Android for the replies.
Basically the usb charge cord supplied by Nokia for my Lumia 900 is not long enough to be able to charge and use the phone at the same time. (My battery usually doesn't last a full day.) Nokia supplies a short cord compared to other manufacturers. I believe the charge cord supplied should be longer to equal what other brands supply.
I would buy a longer usb charge cord but Nokia does not offer one and I am concerned I may not find a good quality one and it may wear out the usb port on my phone prematurely. Plus I will be upgrading my phone soon.

You Tube downloader for Lumia 900

Hi,
Just got my new blue Lumia 900! Love it.
The only problem so far is how to get YouTube on my phone.
Do I need a YouTube downloader in order to get the music and videos from YouTube-> my computer-> my phone? If so, where to get it?
And bad connection at home, guess I would need some sort of signal booster?

There are a number of YouTube apps in the Marketplace, but I don't think any of them include a 'downloader'. Most of them are just viewing apps.

Need bigger keyboard for Lumia 900

I have a Lumia 900 and need a bigger keyboard for my big thumbs, but I do not have these options :-(
Why do they waste all that space and make the keyboard small in landscape?
I wish I could turn off predictive/auto correct too!

Let's start with your concern on the keyboard size of the Lumia 900. Unfortunately, there's no setting on the phone to increase the size of the keyboard. Alternatively, I would suggest using landscape mode when typing a text message. This is because the letters are wider compared when using it in a portrait mode.
For the predictive text or auto correct tool, you can disable it by following these steps:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on Keyboard
3. Tap on typing settings
4. Tap on Keyboard, which is located above the Typing improvement section
5. Remove the check mark for the "Suggest text and highlight misspelled words". You also have the option to disable other keyboard settings.

Would there be any recommendations for a Wired Headset with a 3.5Mm jack for headphones for a Nokia Lumia 900. I have tried the Nokia AD-54, you can hear the sound but sound quality is poor. I attached Bluetooth headsets BH-610 and BH-214, both reproduce excellent sound quality. But am looking for a wired option. The Monster options from purity range dont have 3.5mm Jack

Battery app for Lumia 710

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me with a problem I am having.
I own a Nokia Lumia 710 handset, originally on Vodafone, now unlocked. I am trying to find a battery app for the phone, but I am having no luck whatsoever.t I want a simple app that will put the battery percentage on the front screen, with just a battery icon and a percentage total, to say that I have, say, 25% battery left. I know there is a battery option in the settiings menu, but I don't want to hunt it out, I want it right there in front of me, where I can see it immediately. I have looked on the Marketplace, but I cannot find an app of this kind. Does such an app exist?

This may not be possible due to restrictions within the OS itself not allowing access to that

Creating apps for lumia 610

Hi,
Im teaching myself how to develop apps for android phones and im practicing on my lumia 610.
I'm using the program app inventor and its not picking up the phone when I plug it in.
I need to debug the phone first, is there a way of debugging it or should I wait and use my wife's Samsung.

Random Reboots for Lumia 900

I bought a factory unlocked Lumia 900 from Amazon and now seeing random reboots every day. I put my phone down and after 10 mins if i check it, the phone is dead. I need to boot that up again. This is completely random. And now nokia is saying that this phone is not having international warranty since this phone was bought in Singapore and sold in USA by manufacturer.
Does anyone know\aware of any fix?
