Can, and if so, how do you synch iCal with your Google calendar?

Am trying to synch my iCal information with Google Calendar. I can find information to get Google info into iCal but not synching iCal information with into Google.

You can sync to one computer at a time.
When you sync to another it will delete the current content and replace with content from the new computer.
That would have nothing to do with it it not recognizing the device.

I cannot get my father's Calendar data to transfer via iCloud to his iPad. His Mac is running 10.7.2, and the iPad is running OS 5.0.1 (I think, at least it is OS 5 for sure.) Everything else (Mail, Contacts, etc) is transferring, but not Calendar.

Check that both have calendar syncing enabled, also check that the calendars in iCal you are trying to sync are iCloud calendars and not on my mac calendars (click on the calendar button in the top left corner of iCal).

I was just wondering if any of you have or know how to sync your iCal with a Google calendar. I've tried myself, but I don't seem to be able to do it. I don't even know if it's possible but was just wondering if I could get some help. Thanks!!!!!

How do you update iClouds with your new Apple ID?

My question was how do you remove an apple ID from iClouds. The response was you cant iClouds is associated with the Apple ID. So how do I update My new Apple ID with iClouds? and how do you reply to someone who has helped your question?

iCloud is asociated with the Apple ID, so you can't change this for another Apple ID

Create them in the Address Book application on your Mac. They will sync to iCloud
If you want to create them in iCloud, log into iCloud.com on your Mac. They will sync back to your Mac Address Book.

How do you share screen with your buddies?

So I wanted to do something with my friends by screen sharing. We both have Mac and Messages. My friends said that we could use messages to share screen. When we try that, we couldn't. We can't select the "Share my Screen with ......" or "Ask to share ..... Screen" We both are using Macs.Why can't we share screen.

Have you enabled System Preferences -> Sharing -> Screen Sharing?
If that doesn't get iMessages to allow you to screen share, you could try getting a free AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) account and set that up inside iMessage. I know the AIM servers will pass screen sharing requests.
If you cannot get this working, you could try an alternative such as TeamViewer.com (or at least until you figure out Screen Sharing via iMessages).

I want to share my Ical with a google calendar user- how can I do that?

I have tried sharing it, by sending them an e-mail invite- however that just ask them to sign up for icloud. I tried making it public and sending them the URL, they got a robots can't read the txt (or something like that) message. Any other suggestions?

Thank you. I am trying again to backup my catalog to my second hard drive. When I tried it before it would stop at 64% at which point I figured it was stuck and cancelled it. The third time I tried it I let it go for a day, and then it gave me an error message. Unfortunately, I was so frustrated I didn't write down or look up the error message, I just decided to copy in Windows instead - just so I would have a backup for my stuff. Currently it again seems to be stuck on 64% again. I will let it go and see if I eventually get an error message and then try to look that up and resolve it. If successful I will then reconnect with the method you shared with me - thank you!

How do you get audio with your .avi files?

I'm trying to do a project that has some .avi files but there isn't any audio. Is there a way to get it?

There's a free downloadable program called Streamclip (www.squared5.com/) that will let you convert the audio format to .aiff audio that can be played by iMovie. I had a clip that wouldn't play audio in iMovie, and Streamclip was able to convert it so it would play.

Ical, iphone (mobileme), google calendars and sharing...

My first question is as follow: I use googlemail at work and have a work calendar. I would like to be able to see that in ical (at home) and on iphone through mobileme. Is this possible? How?

There is a brilliant little App called 'Spanning Sync' which does just that! It syncs your iCal to your Google calendar and it is very easy to set up and use. However, it only lets you sync with one Google account per licence. If you need to sync to more than one Google account, you need to buy more licences. I use it very successfully and would recommend it to you without reservation.

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.

Thanks for taking the time to respond - however your reply didn't really help as you haven't explained how to delete the compilation album that had been created.
I managed to sort it out by doing the following (I'm posting this so that it may help others). I don't know if this is the simplest/most elegant solution - but it works.
In iTunes, find the compilation (in my case, the 153 songs) and, starting with the first song, follow this procedure:
On the iPhone go to 'Songs' and scroll down the list until you find the first song that was listed in iTunes (above). You should notice (as in my case) that the song will have the correct title (and artwork too if you'd found this previously before making the compliation) but the wring artist.
Swipe LEFT and press the 'Delete' button.
Repeat with second song in iTunes list, deleting the individual songs from the iPhone, one by one.
Although tedious, this seemed to work for me. Reason for doing down the iTunes list is that it is in a pseudo-alphabetical order and I wanted to make sure I'd got every one.
Now busy re-importing the original albums from CD.
Thank you APPLE for making this such a laborious process. Why can't designers actually TEST the products they design so that they can appreciate first-hand the likely problems?
