No, there isn't any tag to control no-auto-startup.
you will have to Uncheck the option "start application after installation" in the installation dilaog itself.

Look at this technical specs document, your system should be fine with the possible exception of Color.
As for managing your preference files, use Digital Rebellion's tool.

TS2972 I have signed in with same Apple ID & same network but still can't use Remote app to control my iTunes via iPhone 4s or iPad2.

I have gone through FAQ and tried all methods and checked settings in my iMac and my iOS devices (iPhone 4s and iPad2) and still can't useRemore app to control iTunes. I have used this app without a problem before with my old iPhone 3 and it worked fine.
What is wrong with it?

Other than you have used it before and it worked - can you provide some more details? You don't see your iTunes library in the remote app?

Can any iWork '08 app import Office 2007 formats?

i.e. docx, xlsx, pptx, etc...

You will hit some problems with iWork '08, in that it doesn't support all the facilities of Excel (in particular, date formatting tends to differ and some functions are not supported).
That said, I've found it to do a very good job of importing simple docx and xlsx documents. It has retained the format very well - including bringing across the SmartArt diagram. I haven't tried PowerPoint 2007 presentations.

Can I get iwork apps for free in old mac after purchasing new ipad air

I just got a new ipad air which came along with free iwork and ilife apps. I would like to know whether I can transfer the apps to my macbook pro for free?
As when I browse through app stores it actually shows as not purchased.

I was under the impression they were separate apps. When you bought your iPad Air, you got the iOS versions, but if you want the MacOS versions, you will need to purchase them.
They were free when you purchased a new iOS/MacOS product, but the free software would most likely coincide with that.

We already have ORACLE Grid Control 10.2.0.5 (X86 version) on Linux server. Due to we have EBS, We plan to install ORACLE Application Management Pack 3.0 into Grid Control 10.2.0.5.
I heard there have patch need apply to Grid Control 10.20.05 before install Application management pack into it. Anyone know which patch?

when you click on the tab "Application Servers" on the far upper left site of the GridControl (right next to Hosts, Databases, ...) then
you will see of which components the Oracle Application server exists (HTTP-server, OC4J, WebCache, ...). Therefore the HTTP-server is just
part of the application server - and if the application server gets shut down it's meant that all components wil get shut down...

Remote iOS app no longer wakes iMac up after Lion install

Hello there. I installed Lion on my iMac and updated iTunes to the (most recent) Lion-compatible version. I also have an iPhone 4 with the most up-to-date version of the iOS and the Remote app. I used to be able to launch the Remote app from my iPhone and play music from my iTunes library on my iMac, but if my computer has gone to sleep the Remote app will not find my library and will time out looking for it.
I was able to remotely "wake up" my iMac with my Remote app (both from my iPhone and iPad) before Lion, but ever since I installed Lion I cannot do that. If the iMac is "awake", I'm able to connect with the Remote app just fine. It's only when the computer has gone to sleep that I cannot. Anybody else with this problem? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, no. I still have the problem. Although it seems to be happening less often (not sure if this is a symptom of more recent OS updates, both on the iMac and iPhone). It's infuriating. If you stumble upon a solution, please share!

Any way to move old prefs etc. back over after clean install?

So I have a few partitions and a few options here. I'm currently running 10.5.1 off of my internal HD and it seems fast and stable so far. I have another partition with my Tiger system cloned and yet another partition I could use. So I could do another Leopard install onto the Tiger partition, do an archive and install, so that I get back all my prefs and bookmarks etc., not have to reinstall certain apps. But can I manually copy prefs, mail etc. over from my Tiger partition or is that a mistake?

Looks like maybe Migration Assistant may be what I need. Will it copy over my mail, bookmarks and prefs from my Tiger partition? What essentially would be the difference between having done an archive and install over my Tiger system and doing a clean install and using Migration Assistant to move stuff over? Will it essentially give me the same results?

My apps go on waiting when even after completion of download. That is specifically when i activate my cellular data after downloading n syncing the app from itunes app store.

After completeion of downloads ..and playing the game or using an app..whenever i sync my next downloaded apps, the previoulsy downloaded apps go on waiting.
like intially i downloaded red laser n we chat..n i synced it with my iphone5 ..after that i downloaded whatsapp n temple run2 ...wa and TR2 successfully got instaled on my iphone but the other two went on waiting..also the waiting freezes ...*NOTE* I downloaded all my apps from itunes n then put them into iphone.
also i recently downloaded a game..n successfully synced it with my phone..i even played it for a couple of time but my cellular data wasnt activate..as soon as i activated it the game went on wating...everytime this happens i have to delete n reinstall the app..anything u can help me out with?

CS3 Versions still installed as separate apps after completed install of CS4

I've installed Production Premium CS4 suite on my Mac (Leopard OS),
but all of the CS3 *.app links are still shown in my applications folder.
Do these NEED to stay on my system?
If not, how do I delete them and free up disk space, without screwing up or leaving
orphaned files all over the place, and without goofing up my CS4 upgrades installations?
It confusing because for most software on my system, when I upgrade to a newer version,
the older version automatically deletes, once the new version is installed.

That's true of some software but it's not the case for Adobe or Microsoft software.
Older versions need to be manually uninstalled when you're good and ready.
Many users want to have the old and new versions available for a while e.g. contiunue using the old version for production to a timeframe while getting used to the new version.
Also, be aware that CS4 has dropped some features which were available in earlier versions:

If any of these are important to you then you'll need to keep CS3 installed until you come up with alternatives for your websites.

We have 150+ licences on Office 365 and are looking to roll out InTune in our organisation. Part of the roll out is to manage approx 70 iOS devices (iphones/iPads) and publish our in-house iOS apps for download. I have configured the trial, uploaded
a couple of apps (.ipa file and .plist file) and everything looks good. You go to the mobile portal on your iOS device to install the app, find the app, click 'Install' and it says 'Your request is in progress' ... and nothing happens. We have a valid
Apple enterprise licence.
Any help would be appreciated as this is one of the main factors for us investing in InTune.

I've just tried the config utility and the console doesnt really respond when clicking install. I opened the company portal link, logged in, went to the app and hit install ...

I do have a support case open but thought I'd try my luck on here hoping someone has had the same problem.
Might be worth me trying another iOS device first. I have tried a couple of our apps and both do exactly the same thing.
