Can anyone explain why iPhone/iPad show one location and MacBook another?
Hi. When I'm sitting at home with my three Apple devices I've noticed that my MacBook shows my correct location (or at least within about 10 metres) on Google Maps and Find my Iphone. My iPhone 4S and iPad 2 (wifi-only model) both show exactly the same location as each other but about 1km west of the MacBook. If I step outside my phone picks up a GPS signal and immediately switches to the correct location. All three devices are only using wifi to locate themselves (I've tried with Airplane mode ON, wifi ON and cycled location services OFF and then ON after a minute on my iPhone to ensure this) and all three are connected through my wifi router. Does anyone else see anything similar? Does iOS use a different location database to OS X?
They won't appear if they aren't "universal" apps (i.e., if they don't work on both iPhones and iPads). Of course, you also have to have Apps set to On under Automatic Downloads in Settings>iTunes & App Stores, and be using the same Apple ID for purchasing on both devices.

My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?
I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.
BTW the ipod is an ipod video not classic if that makes any difference.

Can anyone explain why on my iPhone 4S, whenever I play music, it won't hold my place in the song? I pause it, and then when I go back later, it's all the way back at the beginning? A google search was not very helpful, any tips would be great!
Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

My wife, daughter and I have iPhones with iMessage and Send Read Receipts activated. All the messages sent between the three of us are blue however, when my wife messages me, the message appears in green on her iPhone. Can anyone explain why.
Because some kind of error occured. This is only from her iPhone to your iPhone? Whenever she sends a message to any other iPhone, it is sent as blue? And when anyone else sends you a message from an iPhone, it sends as blue?

I just bought a second hand iPhone 5, but the sim tray seems to be for a sim sized ~14x8mm, thinner but longer than a nano SIM (~12x9mm). Can anyone explain why, and how to get a SIM to fit?

I had to rebuild a computer. When I got iTunes installed and tried to sync my iPod it said that I had reached my limit of five computers. I logged into my iTunes account and went through the process for deauthorizing all computers. It comes up with a messaging asking if I am sure I want to deauthorize all computer and I select the "Deauthorize computers" button. It never comes back with a message one way or another whether it was successful. When I get out of that screen and come back in, it still shows that I have 5 authorized computers. I can't sync my iPod. The deauthorization is not working. Can anyone explain why this is happening?

My G4 desktop won't cold start. I have to plug in to the outlet for about 15 minutes every time. Can anyone explain why? Otherwise, the desktop runs fine.
The battery is new, and I zapped the little button on the main board once. I've noticed that the power supply plug is a little longer than the usual one for G4, and the AGP slot has an extra slot, which is black and about half inch long.Hi Ursula,

I believe that is for ADC Monitor power if you had one, or a card with ADC, like the little tab on this one...
I think your startup problem is bad capacitors in the power supply or on the logic board, and the need to bleed off their charge before they work right to start. -
Can anyone explain why when I signed up to BT broadband some 4 years ago the estimated line speed I would get was estimated at 3.5Mbps (I was actually getting between 1 and 2 and every so often 2.5). Recently I've noticed a drop in speed, last week the estimated line speed was 1Mbps and now this week it is 0.512Mbps! Has this happened to anyone else?
In the last few weeks I have been suffering from dropped connection but it now seems stable. I did the bt speedtest and got the following

I have been told by Bt open reach who came out to me, it is Bt doing this, and showed me evidence on the laptop to his computer connected to my master socket.

He added that I should state what he said. It may be worth hanging around for a moderator to contact you keep checking your thread, it would appear they are helpful, certainly alot less stressful than phoning India and chasing your tail. Still trying to get this sorted even got released only 1 month in 18month contract with no charge. However you do have to follow there complaint procedure which is not easy.

Can anyone explain why all of my Spry Assets on a live website have suddenly stopped working?
Can anyone explain why all of my Spry Assets on a live website have stopped responding? I have checked that the Spry CSS and JS files are in place. Then checked the files on Dreamweavers live view and they are not working there either. It was fine a few weeks ago, it is almost as if the web browsers have stopped rending Spry, for example, the links for the collapsible panels are not even being recognised as links.
I am using 'old' spry assets on Dreamweaver CS4 (if that makes a difference). The Spry Assets used are Tabbed Panels and Collapsible Panels.

I recently installed Acrobat Pro X on my Mac. I initially accepted the terms of agreement, but then every few seconds the same prompted window for the terms of agreement keeps popping up. Can anyone explain why this is happening, and how to resolve?

I have a .avi file that is not playing. It keeps telling me additional software is needed. I have Mac OS X 10.6.8. Can anyone explain why?
Because there's no codec installed on your system for that specific AVI, and there may be no Mac OS X component for it. Try installing Perian.

I am working on a friend of mine's 15g ipod(W/dock connector)and I am having the same trouble except it does it to all the songs. I have tried reseting it multiple times, but to no avail.
I am not sure that this runs on windows XP, it is absolutly archaic (compared to my 5th gen. 30g video).
