Can anyone tell me what's going on with my iMac?
I have a Mac with 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3, memory, 4GB 1333 MHz RAM and I'm running OS X version 10.7.5
It started yesterday.
When I try to shut down, I get the rainbow coloured wheel that just turns and turns. (sorry that I don't know the technical terms).
I just tried to close down Word, and the same thing happened.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is this indicative of a looming problem?
I have seen this a few times too. It is normal. At 100% the iPhone shuts down the charging, but you can rarely catch it at 100% without the plug symbol. The plug symbol at a level less that 100%, can indicate abnormal charging status however.

I can't update my software because software update tells me I'm not connected to the internet... if that's true how am I able to ask this question?... Can anyone tell me what's going on and what I need to do to correct this?
If you have a slow connection speed, update will not download.
Are you using broadband and are you close to the modem? -
Can someone tell me what is going on with old judgements....?
Back in 2010 after losing my job i defaulted on 4 of my credit card accounts. Being that i was young, and in a bad spot, i kind of had a "I don't care" attitude to it all. I didnt understand much about credit card debt at the time, and had no clue about lawsuits and judgements. I paid off one account and thats over with. My BofAmerica credit card was charged off and sold off to a collection agency and still shows on my reporst. The collection agency however does not, nor as i recall has ever shown up. And as far as i know i have never been sued for this debt and now its past the SOL if i am correct. On the other hand, Cap1 and Discover both have filed judgements against me through the same debt collecting lawfirn which also happened in 2010 IIRC. They Cap1 started garnishing my paychecks starting in 2012. Discover was pretty much waiting in line i suppose since they cant both collect at the same time. I moved from NY to FL in Fall 2012. My paychecks had stopped getting garnished by the end of 2014, but the debts are still not fully paid. The collection lawfirm still sends debt letters to my parents house in NY. But the wierd thing is that my credit reports dont, and have never as i recall, shown any public records/judgements. So basically, any reason why my paychecks stopped being garnished? Why my credit reports dont have any public records? Did my moving to Florida have any effect on those judgements? Can ANYONE put the pieces of the puzzle together for me? haha. Thanks in advance. Feel free to ask any questions if i left something out. That is if anyone has absolutely anything to say on this!
The judgment and order of garnishement are valid within the jurisdiction of the judgment court. When you move from one state to another, the judgment must be "domesticated" to your new state, meaning they must motion the court to essentially accept the judgment rendered in your prior state. They will likely find you and take that action As for credit reporting, public record information is not "reported" in the same fashion as other items of information. The CRAs, to supplement their tiles and thus increase the value of their product, comission their own public records searches from private searchers. Some do better jobs than others, and some courts are a bit more obsure or harder to obtain the information.

Hello everyone, like most people on this site, I am having difficulties understanding and fixing my Macbook Pro. About a month ago my computer screen went black, the computer was unresponsive, and it started making a beeping noise. I restarted the computer, and it seemed to have fixed itself. 6 days ago, I put my laptop into it's case with some papers, went home (about 30 min. after putting laptop into case), and opened my bag. My computer's fans were on, the computer was really hot, and when I opened the computer, the screen was black and unresponsive. I turned it off, let it cool down, turned it back on, started to stream a video on Hulu, and about ten minutes after, the screen went black again and the computer was unresponsive. Now everytime I turn it on after about ten to fifteen minutes the screen will go black, the computer will become unresponsive, and I have to shut it off. The weird thing though is that everytime I restart my computer, when I reopen my account, my computer acts as if nothing has happened, and everything I had opened or unsaved is still there without autosave saving the documents. The screen also goes black and the computer becomes unresposive when I move the computer around. I get a lot of pop-up ads and other crap on my computer when I am on the internet. I don't know if one of those pop-up websites might have given me a virus or may be the cause of this problem. I don't now what is wrong with my computer or how to fix it, but if anyone has any advice, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!! Thank you very much!!!
-- Sincerely, A very confused, scared, and hopless Macbok OwnerTo get rid of "pop-up ads and other crap on my computer when I am on the internet", click on Safari in the Menu bar, and select Preferences. Next select Extensions. Delete all of them. Restart Safari.
The first step in addressing the black screen is an SMC reset.
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

Can anyone tell me what's going on here?
I'm a video producer and have a license with a royalty free music site. Before upgrading to Safari 4, I could demo audio tracks just fine (using this interface: http://www.dewolfe.co.uk/musicsearch/cd_tracks.php?cdnumber=DWCD%200470). This feature also still works in Firefox. In Safari 4, however, when I click to preview a track, it does nothing and eventually gives me an error saying "could not find player p_undefined." Any ideas? I tried uninstalling Flash, installing the newest version and repairing permissions - to no avail.
Thank you in advance! If you look around the discussions, you will fine that you are not alone with Flash problems. I have been having trouble with mine ever since the new 10.5.7 update on Mac and the new Safari. I too have download the new Flash 10 and so on and so on and still cannot get outside sources (or Safari) to notice that I do indeed have Flash 10 loaded. I think it is a Mac and Safari problem and I suppose, just like many times in the past, we will have to wait for either Mac or Adobe to come up with a fix across the board. Some have the problem and some don't. It may have something to do with some of our other programs interfering as well, which would explain why some have the problem and some don't.

Has the "server" issue being resolved so that I can access my verizon.net email address ths has been going now for 3-4 days and would like to check my emails. Thanks
This is a peer-to-peer support forum. If you want to get a message to / information from Verizon, you should contact them directly via one of the options on their Contact Us page.
That said, what "server" issue are you referring to? Maybe some of your peers can assist if we know what the issue is that you are reporting.
If a forum member gives an answer you like, give them the Kudos they deserve. If a member gives you the answer to your question, mark the answer as Accepted Solution so others can see the solution to the problem.

I am trying to update my apps but I am receiving an invalid address box. Can anyone tell me what is going on with this box? I put my correct info in and the box continues to pop up.
There are a number of threads about it - it looks like Apple recently updated their address validation. Some people have recorded success by :
ensuring that their iTunes account address is exactly the same as appears on their credit card bill
putting something in the second line of the address (including just copying the first line)
expanding abbreviations e.g. St to Street, Ave to Avenue etc (or conversely abbreviating)
putting apartment or suite number on the second address line -
Can somebody tell me what is going on with the last update of Mountain Lion 10.8.2?? Since then my computer is pretty much slower and blocken on Safari.
First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

Can anyone tell me whats going on? Crystal Report Exporting issue
Hi,
I am having a issue with the way that CR exports a report. It was working GREAT until we restarted our server. At which point a 2 page CR exported to a PDF began to display enlarged and over 21 pages. The code never changed and if exporting from the VS CR tool it previews and exports perfectly. Can anyone tell me whats going on? Could a install of Acrobat Reader 8 caused this? or anything else for that matter? Any thoughts would be a great help cause it might help me think of something I have over looked.
Thanks
Jeremyit would not be install of Adobe that would cause this, however a changed printer driver may. Has the printer driver changed? Do you see any difference on the rpeort if you set the option "No Printer? (File menu, select Page setup).
When you say the report is now 21 pages, do you mean it has more data? Or has the format changed such that it is 21 pages long. The latter would again point to printer driver... -
My iCloud storage is full and I need to delete some stuff. Can anyone tell me what is important to keep and what not? I'm just not sure what I really should back up each night and what doesn't really matter. I know my photo's should back up, but other than that, I'm not really sure.
I have taken some pics off and videos and appt, but it still says I need to delete before I can back up on iCloud. I'm starting to wonder if its a glitch with my personal phone. Can anyone help me?
Thanks!Only you can decide what's critical to back up. One option is to import your photos and videos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then either delete them from your phone or exclude the camera roll from your backup in settings.
You might try going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll), then look at the size of your next backup. If it doesn't go down significantly, something else is wrong. -
I have mac os x10.4.11 Tiger , i tried to update and after I did that when I tried to use itunes, but it doesn't open.. can anyone tell me what I have to do to fix this ??
Hello,
Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
* Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
minimum system requirements
* 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
* DVD drive for installation
* 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
Classic/OS9 Apps no longer supported.
Trouble is Apple no longer sells it, check eBay & such for the Retail version, not the Gray Discs...
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=mac+os+x+leopard+retail+10.5
There are workarounds if the 867MHz CPU is the only hangup...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/leopardassist/
http://lowendmac.com/osx/leopard/unsupported.html
So we know more about it...
At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac, report the version of OSX from that window, then click on More Info, then click on Hardware> and report this upto but not including the Serial#...

Model Name: eMac

My imac will not load after I enter my password. The only thing I get is the arrow from my mouse on top of a blank white screen. Can anyone tell me what this is? I've restarted and turned off several times. I left it on in this state for 8 hours hoping it would reload and work. No luck.
Hello KCC4ME,
You may try booting your Mac in Safe Boot, as it can resolve many issues that may prevent a successful login.
OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564
If a Safe Boot allows you to successfully log in, you may have issues with one or more login itmes (while the following article is labelled as a Mavericks article, it is viable for earlier versions of the Mac OS, as well).
OS X Mavericks: If you think you have incompatible login items

I have a issue with my mac book pro. For some reason it won't stay powered on. I can't get past the apple loading logo. The battery is fully charged so it is not the problem. Can anyone tell me what the problem may be and how can i get it resolved?
