Can I change title bar content in an application window? [SOLVED]

I know this isn't Arch-specific, but I thought there might be somebody out there who can help me. I use KDE 3.5.7.
I use Evolution for my work e-mail and Thunderbird for my personal e-mail. I like to keep these spheres entirely separate. The problem is that the title bar for both e-mail clients starts with "Inbox ..." If I have several apps open simultaneously and want to open Evolution or Thunderbird by clicking on the task bar, it takes me a minute to figure out which "Inbox" I need, especially when there are so many apps open that part of the title bar is covered up.
Is there a way to change the content of an application's title bar?

I'd prefer to go this route than editing the source, since Thunderbird appears to be entangled with all kinds of Mozilla-ish stuff.

If using a jump to an external Help topic, after the jump the
title bar for the target Help does not display that Help title, but
retains the title from the original Help. Is there a way to make
the title bar content reflect the current Help being displayed?

Joe,
The caption is a property of the window and I don't know of
any way to change it on the fly. So the other option would be to
change the window. I can think of two ways to do this but both add
the problem of leaving the previous topic open in its window. You
could use a shortcut control and open the other help file to the
topic in question, rather than opening the topic inside of your
help file or you could define a second window and use it when you
call the external topic.

I downloaded Tinkertool. Found the font section and increased the size of most selections. The only thing that changed that I can see is the window label. The apple line, bookmarks line, the tool bar in safari are all the same---font size of about 4. Found the finder "show view options" but that didn't seem to change anything either. I'll keep working. Restarted all apps after changes as well.

If you want to open the "Get Info" panel in the center of your screen, define the following Automator service and install it in the "Services" Folder of your User Library. This service will be available when you ctrl-click a file or folder in the pop-up menu and it will open the "Get Info" in the center of the screen.
Open Automator and select New -> Service.
Select: Service receives "files or Folders" in "Finder.app"
Drag a "Run Apple script" action from the Actions pane -> Utilities onto the Workflow

You can bind this service to a keyboard shortcut in the keyboard preferences and use it like the standard "Get Info"

Openbox theme only changes title bar?

Hi! Couldn't find any answer on wiki or google. I don't know if I understand this right, but I installed openbox theme, selected it in configuration but the only thing that changed is title bar, and right click menu. Programs like thunar or leafpad still have gray interface with nice >Link to theme <. I'm guessing that installing theme and selecting it isn't all to it. So what is it?

Yes, you have to install the openbox theme to have the nice titlebar, but the gtk theme is the one that sets the "look"

Can't change title text

I have searched the board for this issue and have not found anything directly on point. I am also so frustrated because it seems like this should be quite simple.
I started putting together a movie several months ago. I got into it again today, and I wanted to change up some text and colors, but I can't change text that is on my title page.
To complicate the matter, when I insert the word "test" in the text editing box, it shows up in the middle of the title screen, but my original text on the screen (left side of a sliding photo) remains the same. It is this text that remains the same that I want to change.
Ideas?

I am afraid you've lost me, there. What do you mean by 'the photo box'? And in your original post, what do you mean by the 'sliding photo'? Was that a Ken Burns pan effect?
How did you create the text which is to the left of this photo box?
In order to test removing the text only, copy the title clip, and do as I described, and see what happens. It should have removed only the unwanted addition to your title clip. Once that has gone, it should be possible to modify the original text (you say you have tried that and it didn't work - does that text appear in the text-editing window? If so, what title option is highlighted? As far as I recall the title called Music Video is the only one that gives you the ability to place text to left or right.)
If that does not work, then try using Delete again, and see if that removes the original text, but still leaving the clip intact. If it does, start from scratch with your text. Remember, you are working with a COPY, not the original:-)

you can look at class JarOutputStream . You could also use class RunTime to just create a new jar with the proper files via the normal jar command.

Can not see title bar

I am not able to see the title bar. I have Firefox 16.01. I have Android 4.03. This is a fresh install. Has not been visible since installation. I can not find an option to turn this on or off in the settings.

Firefox has no title-bar/border in emerald & compiz fusion [SOLVED]

I am running compiz-fusion in gnome with emerald as the window decorator and everything is working fine apart from firefox. When it starts up it has no title-bar or window border and appears to be in full screen mode (since nothing else is visible) but actually isn't. I have absolutely no experience working with window managers and am clueless as to what the problem could be.
Can anyone help me?

I've also found myself facing the same behaviour of the firefox window; I got bored of the F11 x2 workaround, and tried to start firefox from the terminal, to see if there were any strange error message.
Magically, it started with the correct size, not covering anything it should not.
And now it always open correctly from the usual launcher.
Maybe it can be another way to try... for me it worked.

Firefox 5.0 on Windows 7 jumpy, window title bar pops in and out, window resizes.

Question pretty much sums it up. Windows Title bar keeps flitting in and out, causing screen to jump. Concurrently, right and bottom window margins resize a bit smaller. No apparent rhyme or reason, but leads to a lot of bad mouse clicks. Unrelated to whether the bookmarks tab is open or not. Happens in safemode as well, and my theme is the default. I don't want a plug-in to fix this, I want Firefox 5.0 to behave properly on its own.

The Views menu is only meant to view bookmarks in a different sort order (hence the name of that menu). It doesn't have any lasting effects.

well....it doesn't matter whether the MAC add is 00-14-BF-93-D2-66 or 00:14:BF:932:65 or any other format .. the most important thing is the hex decimal numbers are the same ... so not worry about it...
