Can I copy a spreadsheet from Numbers into the body of an email message?

I created a basic calendar originally in Excel and have moved to Numbers. When I copy the Numbers spreadsheet calendar to the body of an email message, it loses all borders and formats and looks like a word salad. I need to paste it into the email message because my recipients are unable to open an attachment. Please help me find a solution. I am a new MAC user.

You can't change the behavior of copy/paste when the destination is unaware of the Numbers specs.
I know that the mail.app available under Mac Os X 10.5 is able to do some kinds of formatting but
(a) I don't know which
(b) I don't know how they are reflected if the target program is not the same mail.app.

  • How do I paste a photo ( jpeg) into the body of my email message- I can do it in Internet Explorer bu can't in Firefox

    I can open up a photo from my "Pictures" file In Internet Explorer, copy it, then paste it into the body of my email message ( I use Earthlink webmail). I see the picture fine.
    When I try to do the same procedure by opening, copy and pasting in Firefox, a box appears with a photo icon, but no photo. Even when I press "view image" it will not show the picture.
    What am I missing?

    There's a utility available that solves this problem in gmail. It allows you to drag and drop any image on your system clipboard directly into Gmail. Check it out: picturepaste.com

  • When I copy and paste a link into the body of my email, the link won't light up in blue and underline becoming a working link. I do not have this problem with Explorer. Who do I get the link to work?

    Not sure what more I need to say. If you still don't understand, let me know.

    In Rich Text mode, there's an "Add a link" button (an Earth with two chain links in front of it) in the toolbar, which opens a window where you can type a web address. Yahoo! Mail then inserts it into your email as a link.

  • Can't copy a song from library into playlist. Screen message says "song can't be found." I know it's there, how do I access it?.

    Can't copy a song from library into playlist. Screen message says "song can't be found." I know it's there, how do I access it?.

    I fixed this issue (with help from tech support) and it involved several things.
    After adding a song to iTunes, right-click on the song in iTunes and select "Update iTunes Match."
    OR go to the iTunes menu-->Store-->Update iTunes Match.
    Maybe that's the reason, it just hadn't updated to the cloud.
    OR maybe it's not a high-enough bitrate file.   This happens to me because most of my tunes are home-recorded.
    Sometimes converting to .mp3 or Create AAC version might work. (You do this with a right-click in iTunes, and then you will want to remove the original file from iTunes.)
    There is an iTunes Preferences setting, under General Preferences called Import Settings.  Try setting it to AAC Encoder and iTunes Plus.   That (I think) causes imports to be slightly better quality.
    Good luck!  The tech support person at Apple is requesting that a knowlege-base article be written about this.

  • When i copy a word document into the body of an email, it arrives in a distorted format.  what can i do to insure it will arrive in the body of the email as it appears in my word document?

    how can i ensure that when i copy a word document into the body of an email, it will arrive in the same format as it appears in the word document.  mine arrive with distorted spacing.  thank you!!

    Sounds like the Word file may have right justification. You can turn that off within Word.
    You can also save the file as a pdf using these instructions:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH10738
    and send the pdf instead.

    So I can just put my output variable into the email body variable.... since it's a table with headers should I do anything special for formatting the table?

  • Copying a complete Address Book entry into the body of an email?

    Is there a neat way (other than Copy/Paste one chunk at a time!!) to get a complete Address Book entry complete into the body of an email in plain text (NOT as a V-Card), if I want to send to someone who doesn't use an Address Book on their computer ?

    The only way to do what you are asking about is to create an html email. This is possible and assuming you are using Leopard, you can use Mail to do this. Start a new email and select the Stationary button that by default is on the right corner of the new email message window.
    Pages cannot be used to create html code and the only way to use Pages to create your newsletter would be to create a PDF and attach it. The other possible option would be to send your email with a link to a webpage. You could experiment with using the Share to iWeb function and see if this could work for you. (Since I swore off - not to mention at - iWeb some time ago I don't know how well this would work.)

    Hello ymda, '''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|Firefox Safe Mode]] is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
    Restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>

  • How can I embed a pdf file into the body of an email?

    How can I embed a pdf file into the body of an email?

    The problem is defining what it even means to “embed” a PDF file in the body of an e-mail, especially if you are dealing with a multiple page PDF file.
    E-mail is either pure text, rich text (something akin to RTF in Word), or HTML. PDF is not compatible with any of these. Thus, to embed a PDF file, something has to be converted and that means the PDF would be converted to a less graphically rich raster format. But is that what you would really want?
    I think that the MacOS and iOS e-mail clients do under some circumstances place an attached PDF file within HTML segments and by clicking on same, you get the equivalent of extracting the full PDF file, but I have no real experience with that.
    Another alternative is HTML with a proxy image with a hyperlink to an external PDF file that is invoked when you click on the hyperlink.
    Perhaps you can explain what you are really trying to accomplish and what the recipient of such an e-mail's actual experience would be?

  • Why does my Apple Mail insert old messages into the body of new emails?

    Why does my Apple Mail insert old messages into the body of new emails? The correct sender's name will appear in the "From" column, but an old message from a different sender in the body. This happens randomly. I have an iMac OSX 10.6.8. I recently had the hard drive cleaned, but Apple Mail seemed to be running fine when I set it up again. Could this be a virus? What should I do about it? Thanks for any insights!

    Thanks.  While you were replying to my question, I went into notifications and figured
    it out.  Appreciate the quick response!

  • TS3899 I recently discovered that I can no longer access websites pointed to within the content of an email message on my iPad Air by clicking on the highlighted HTML text or symbols. What should I do to correct this issue?

    I recently discovered that I can no longer access websites pointed to within the content of an email message on my iPad Air by clicking on the highlighted HTML text or symbols. What have I done to create, and what should I now do to correct, this issue?

    Or you could include a width to your body style:
    body {
    background-image: url(Logo/sky1.jpg);
    background-position: center center;
    background-attachment: fixed;
    width: 75%;}
    It might work or not depending on your other color scheme.

  • Can't put image into the body of Yahoo Email.

    Although easily done using I.E or Outlook, any attempt to paste an image into the body of a Yahoo Mail results in nothing happening when using Firefox. I do NOT want to use I.E.
    This is a major problem. Attachments are no solution. In many industries, including mine, we like to send flyers as images or IN-LINE documents via email.
    Will Firefox / Mozilla address this issue?
    Is there a solution already?

    I have 2 FF windows open. One to view my picture and one with Yahoo mail. If I click and drag the picture into my Yahoo mail body, it works. Can't do copy/paste like in IE.

  • Why are my attachments loaded into the body of my email

    I just started using mail instead of Thunderbird. When I want to include an attachment (a document) in an email, it opens into the body of my letter instead of being an attachment that the sender can open. How to change that?
    imac running maverick 10.9.2

    Yes, I am the sender and  the problem originated with me, not the recipient. (I had already selected "always insert attachments at end of message" but it doesn't seem to hold after logging in to mail again. ) Everytime I chose a file to attach from my desktop or documents, it inserted itself completely open in the body of my email, directly beneath the text. Whenever I tried to delete only the attachment, it saved a copy of my message in the trash (including the open attachment) This continued despite quitting mail, restarting, and even after updating to 10.9.2. This evening I got the attachment to paste as a thumbnail, so I don't know what is going on. I sent a test message and it seemed ok. Hopefully it will last.  Could this have been cause by an email I received with a document open in the body?
    Another question...I notice when I view messages in my "sent' folder as a list, there isnt any attachement icon like I see in my inbox..why? If i open the individual message, the paperclip icon is displayed

  • How do I insert a flyer made in Photoshop into the body of an email...

    I made a flyer in Photoshop, I saved it as a JPG. Then I went into my email client AOL to insert it into the body of the email to send out to my clientele. I sent it to myself first to check the resolution etc. The problem is I cannot get it to keep the orginal aspect ration within the email. I compared it to other flyers sent to me, that were produced in Photoshop, I checked all the specs and everything in them matched mine. When I put them into the email the retained their orginal format. So what am I doing wrong that mine will not. I am sure it is something simple I am not aware of doing as I am new to the program.
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am working in Photoshop CS3 on a Dell.

    What happens if your recipients' email clients do not display images by default? Will your message still get across?
    http://www.emaillabs.com/tools/email-marketing-statistics.html#blockedimages
    Hopefully, you have no more than 100 recipients to your email marketing as AOL imposes a limit.
    The comparison between messages you send and those you have received should be clearly made. Were those messages that you received sent from AOL? Were they sent with the same AOL mail client? Do they use images attached to the message or called from a web server?
