Can I demo high-res images in my digital life ?

I'm having problems in one area of integrating the iPhone into my life / process.
Even after the 2.0 release, I still cannot get high resolution images to sync to the iPhone. I heard discussion that this would be fixed, but alas it is not. I loose clients a little when then can't see the higher-res version when networking. PDF syncing would solve this.
Many other people have called for PDFs, too, for subway maps and similar. Getting them via email just doesn't cut it. They need to be save-able, at least.
Have I missed a feature? How do we get sufficient resolution when we need it?

How can I create a high res image gallery, need to have print res photos for a pressroom section.

If you want Muse to "pass through" your images and not adjust, compress, crop etc - you need to place your images in the lightbox EXACTLY at the right size, pre-cropped and prepped in Photoshop.
So if your light box is 800x600 the image you're dropping into that must be 800x600 exactly with no effects, rotation etc added to the lightbox frame. This stop Muse fiddling with your images, if they are perfect when inserted and you're not asking Muse to crop, expand, add effects etc. If it's perfect when inserted, Muse SHOULD also leave the resolution alone too, but I have not tried that one, but in theory, it should work.

  • How can I get iWeb gallery to display high-res images from iPhoto?

    Hi,
I'm trying to add high-res images to an iWeb gallery from iPhoto and cannot get the gallery images to display in high-res (downloaded photos are fine).  iWeb settings for importing unchecked for optimisation. Page in question: http://www.samuelboden.com/Samuel_Boden/Gallery.html
    Any ideas?

Since iWeb has been discontinued by Apple I'm skeptical if you'll get any help on how to hack the application in order to have larger images in the slideshow.  Since MobileMe will be discontinued this June 30 and with it the galleries you might stat looking for an alternative.
One alternative that gives the user considerable latitude in image size and quality is Jalbum.  It offers nearly 100 themes or skins.  This demo page has one theme that lets you change skins on the fly: Jalbum Examples plus a couple of others.

  • What is the best way to share the High Res images ...

What is the best way to share the High Res images on my Nokia Lumia 1020?  My Android friends really want to see the original ~12MB images taken with Nokia Pro Camera?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

if you have the att device, then use your att locker.
ANYONE can sign up for the att locker here:
    https://locker.att.net/app/#welcome
even if you do not have ATT service, you should sign up NOW.
There is an application that is pre-installed to allow for the 1020 to upload the full resolution files to the AT&T locker.
AND, because they are launching the 1020, they are giving a free upgrade to the account to the 50GB box instead of the 5GB.
they are doing this for a limited time only, I have created a couple of accounts.
after you create your account, it will have to be verified. after you check your email and verify the box, log back in and you will see it is only a 5gb account.
click on "my Account/upgrade" and choose the 50GB and you should see it say FREE under the cost.
then you can upload the full res pictures and share them that way.
otherwise, if you are within reach, try Bluetooth transfer.

  • Best way to replace contents of a layer with higher res image

I can do it, but I was wondering if there is a better way.
Large PS file (CS6 and CC) half a dozen texture layers using low res images. Several have blend modes, transparency and even masks. I now have the same images in high res. I want to replace just the image, but not lose my blend/transparency, or masks.
    Any thoughts?
Do I bring in the high res layer, copy the mask over etc? Then delete the original?
    Max

    Try this.
Convert the low res images to Smart Objects. Layer > Smart Objects > Convert to Smart Object.
The replace the contenst of the smart objects. Layer > Smart Objects > Replace Contents...
This way you can replace the low res images with the hi res versions. Provided they are the same crop and aspect rarion your mask should be fairly good to go. I say fairly good as you may have made some adjustments (eg. feathering) based on the resolution.
The blend modes and transparency will be unaffected.

  • Looking for High Res Image of FBI Warning

    Hi Gang
Does anyone know where you can get a High Resolution Image of the standard FBI Warning Disclosure which appears at the beginning of a Video?
    Thanx
    Mike

You can't just use the FBI version wthout permission and those dudes are the wrong people to mess with.
Now, you could just do a copypasta of the regular warning which can be found [here|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVDConsumerRights] into Photoshop and make it whatever res you want.

  • How to Offer High Res Image for Download

On a gallery site I would like to offer two or three high-res
images for people to download as a sample. The images are pretty
good with a lot of detail and it would enable viewers to see the
texture and other detail in the artists work. Can someone give me a
nudge to work out how to do it and are there any things to look out
    for - especially security issues.
    Thanks

Zip the high-res images and link to them as you would to any
    other file.

  • View high res images on iPhone?

I'd like to view high res images of subway maps on my iPhone as I used to on my BlackBerry. However, iTunes seems to pare down the resolution when syncing them, making them useless. Suggestions?

You may want to create a Facebook account, Flickr account, or any other photo account that there is an App for on the iPhone.
This may allow you to then upload your photos to their servers. View it on the App at a much higher quality.
Again not totally sure on this. But it might be something you can try out. Maybe our fellow posters have other suggestions.

I have added photos to a portfolio website I'm building and a lot of them look VERY grainy when you click on them. They are nice clean large files and can print bat high res way over 16" x 20" so whats happened to them in iWeb?

When you are dealing with websites, image file size is a trade off between quality and download speed. There's not a lot of point to having high quality images if they take too long to download in the browser.
Nowadays we also have to consider the device that the end user is viewing the images on. An image that is optimized for viewing on a large screen is total overkill and unsuitable for those using mobile devices.
Really we should be supplying different versions of media files for different devices using @media rules in the stylesheet but this is rather outside of the scope of iWeb. If you use the built in image optimizer and the iWeb Photo template with slideshow, the application will optimize the images according to the way in which you set this function in preferences and the slideshow size will be automatically reduced for those viewing it on smaller screens.
If you want to give your viewers the opportunity to view large, high quality images, you can supply them as a download.

  • Link low res image in MUSE to a high res image for download

How do I Link a low res image in MUSE to a high res image for download ?

    This is quite simple:
1.) Go to menu "File/Add files for upload"" and choose the highres image.
2.) Now place an element (image, rectangle or whatever you want) on your page.
3.) Select this element and use the "Hyperlinks" command in the upper command strip to link the element to the highres image you have selected in 1.)
    Short way:
Place an element, select it and choose within the "hyperlinks" dropdown the entry "Link to file".

  • How can I stop high res photos being pixellated in an In Design Brochure?

    Hi,
I'm trying to create an In Design Brochure but am finding that many of the photos are pixellated despite being of high res 300 dpi.  Is it better to use photos with a higher or lower resolution that I want to be for example a sixth of A4 on a page?  I can't understand why, as these photos look fine when I've used them in other non Adobe publications previously.  Your help would be most useful.  Should I post this in Photoshop forum?  Thank you

If you select a bunch of layers in Photoshop, you can right click and make them into a Smart Object.  It differs from using a Group, because the original is always kept in memory, so if you were to make it very very small, and then make it big again, you would not lose quality.  You can do the same thing with a single layer for the same reason.
To edit a SO, double click it, and it will open in another Photoshop window.  Make your changes, save them, and the original will be updated.
Photoshop CC 14.2 has added ‘linked SOs’ which are close to a holy grail in Photoshop, because a linked SO can be used in multiple image documents, and they will all update (when next opened) if the master SO is edited.  That is a major new feature and much appreciated.
Adobe Dynamic Links are similar to the right click you used in InDesign.  Items in a Premiere Pro timeline can be very easily edited in their original, or relevant Adobe application, directly from the PremPro timeline.  This would be Photoshop, Audition, After Effects, Encore…  It’s powerful stuff, and a huge time saver.

  • High Res image in photoshop cs5

This may seem a simple issue , but i want to make a picture that is 140mm by 170mm using an existing hi res image , i've put the sizes into a new document in ps.
I then dragged the high res photo i need into photshop, the photo is 6144pxl by 4113pxl so is very large, but when i drag it to PS it goes really small about a quarter of the size of the new document template, i then drag the image to to my new correct sized document template but i have to enlarge it , which in turn makes it go blurred.
What am i doing wrong? i thought that as it is so big i would have to make it smaller to fit and it would be easy?
I hope you can help me
    Regard's

It is a physical problem that is very easy to understand. The image below represent the letter o drawn using 3x3 pixels. Can you draw it  on less than 3x3 pixels and still be recognizable?
While this is an exaggerated example and if displayed with the size of monitor pixels the letter won't be legible anyway because of the tiny size, the example shows the nature of the problem. The characters in a font have details that need a certain number of pixels to be displayed as intended. When using editable text, if the number of pixels available for the display of the font is low then the font technology uses a trick called font hinting which optimizes the font for smaller sizes and this is not possible if you text is rasterized and not editable.

  • How did I export a High-Res image from my FCP Project?

I know how to export still images using Quicktime Conversion. But it is possible to export High Resolution images from my FCP Project. You help would be much appreciated

Wow man, that's not the most efficient way to get stills. You can do this in FCP, it's easy. Here is what you do....
Go to EXPORT and then USING QUICKTIME CONVERSION
You will see a dropdown box in the right corner that says FILE FORMAT. Change that to STILL IMAGE.
Underneath you can choose which type of still Image you would like to convert the frame to (JPEG, PIC, PSD, etc) You can also change the quality
    Hope this helps.

  • Speeding up Bridge Thumb to High Res Image Displays

What's the fastest way to speed up viewing thumbs in Bridge as high resolution images?
When I click on a thumb to view an image at full resolution, it often takes about 5 to 10 seconds, sometimes
much longer.  It appears blurry, then snaps sharp, but not after a few to many seconds later.
What tips might be offered to speed this up in software?
I have Bridge on an SSD drive with Windows 7.  My files are on a separate drive 7200 RPM WD drive.
I forget the settings - most would likely be maxed out for speed and most room allotment both drives
    and ram.
What hardware tips are most efficient?  (Faster processor, more memory, faster memory, faster drive, faster
video card, video card with more memory and /or video cards with faster memory).  What works best and
perhaps, in what order of significance?
    THANKS!

    > but everytime I place them into
    > Adobe Indesign they BLUR.
Blur on the screen, or blur in print? If it's just onscreen, go to
Object > Display Performance, and set it to High Quality. And then set
it back to Fast Display and stop worrying about it.
But Bob's right. If you *drew* your logo, you should be saving it as a
vector drawing, not converting it to a bitmap.
