I find that i realy don't use my data much and have taken it all the way down to 1G. I am on the Share Everything Plan and have a little less than a year to go on my contract.Is there any way to get rid of the data and down grade?

I ask this because you may have access to a Nationwide plan where you could get rid of data altogether for the line (with a basic phone) but the cost effectiveness would depend on your usage and if there are other lines on the account.
And yes, as long as you have only one or no smartphones on the account then you can go down from 1gb to 300mb for $10 less a month.

Yes you can, there is a loophole to the system. Here's what you want to do. First, upgrade the basic phone to whatever smart phone you want, if it's a 4g phone you want to order 2 SIM cards, because the one that's sent with the basic number will be stuck to that number, so when you switch back the basic phone, with the original monthly charge, then you can keep unlimited data if you have it, AND have the smartphone to replace the smartphone! (Keep in mind you will extend the basic phone's contract by an additional 2 years if you do this) By the way, the reason you want to do this way instead of an alternate upgrade, AKA "transfer upgrade", is because you will lose unlimited data that way. There are three ways you can keep it. One, buy a Certified Pre-owned Device from Verizon, two, buy a phone at full-retail price, and three, buy a used phone from some other retailer or user (aka craigslist or ebay). This option falls under the "other retailer or user" because the other number "used" the phone. Good luck!

You need the origianl method (or a new copy of it) and then hold the option key down to boot from it.
Then erase the drive in disk utility first,, then install 10.6.earler on it, the don't Software update as it will download the 10.6.8 Combo Update.
Naturally erasing the drive will remove all programs and files, but that's the only way to downgrade OS X to a earlier version.

That's correct. It should drop off automatically, but I'd check via MyVerizon to ensure that it does (and if it doesn't, you can cancel it yourself via MyVerizon or call Customer Service). Keep in mind that if you currently have unlimited data or a double-the-data promotion, you'll lose it forever when switching to a basic phone.

This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.

Hey Big, i love avid's, especially our perty DS NITIRS they have here at work.
ok, sounds like your "problem" is no big deal at all. i would just uninstall compressor and ALL her components and do a fresh reinstall.
also, make sure you have all the pro updates (i see you installed them once already, so unistall those as well) and you should be fine. might be just a slight conflict with your new avid install.
