Can I force the sync process without DM asking me for confirmations?
DM is working fine with Outlook 2003, and I have the "confirm adds, deletes, changes" options disabled in the Advanced section. Yet every time I connect my device, DM is asking me to confirm stuff.
How can I force it to work in stealth mode... just sync and shut up ?

I downloaded the latest version of itunes and now my ipod nano won't sync. The sync process appears to lock up on the 2nd song and will not continue to sync. I let it run all night the first time and it never went past the 2nd song. I unchecked the 2nd song so a different song would be 2nd, no benefit; reset my ipod nano; shut down laptop and restarted a different time; shorted the number of songs to sync; all without benefit.
When you connect your ipod up to the computer. It should show the device, usually with the name of the device, in my case 'jordan's ipod'. This should be on the row which shows 'songs', 'albums' e.t.c on the far right. There when you click on it it should go to a different screen showing a picture of your ipod along with two buttons - Update and Restore. Click update and it should take a 2 mins while your ipod is updated to the latest version of Ios.
After updating te ipod see if there is a change in results.
PS: make sure the device is active while syncing so keep tapping the screen.

Bug on final step of the sync process with iDevices (Mavericks)
hello, all of you,
First of all, I have done all the most recents updates on my Mac (MacBook Pro Retina 2012) ans my iDevices (iPhone 5 and iPad).
Everything is almost fine but a strange problem occurs when I synchronise my iDevices.
During the synchronization, everything goes normally, but at the very end of the sync, when the iTunes window that describes the sync process indicates "end of synchronization" (that before the updates was just short as an eye blink), now does not want to stop (endless)…
The only ways that can stop this - what I will call "bug" - is to eject the iDevice (using the "eject button" on itunes window) or quit iTunes and relaunch it.
I will add a few precisions :
- When this endless "end of synchronization" appears, the sync is - in fact - finished, and well done (all the items : photos, app. and so on) are normally transferred and the sync button on iTunes window is active (during the endless "end of synchronization") ! So I can do a new sync that momentary stops the "end of synchronization" display, that comes back at the end of the new sync (difficult to explain, for a french guy like me !!!).
- This problem does not occur with a Wifi sync !
It look like a "kind of" cosmetic, harmless bug, but never knows ?
What do you thing of that ?

1) Forget downloading the application from the device, and instead download it through iTunes and sync to transfer the application to your iPhone / iPad.
2) Other way is: Go to Application Settings> Store and tap above the Apple ID to sign out. Restart your iPhone / iPad, go back to Settings> Store and sign. Tap the icon that was waiting to update the application. -
How does the sync process work?

I want to know what will happen if both the local and network homes have been modified for a period of two weeks and then the user chooses to synch? Will the sync process ask which 'home' is the most recent or will it replace older files with newer files?
How does the sync process manage the task of keeping both sides the same?

-Andrew GIf a file exists on both the local and the network directory it will pop up with a conflict and ask how to resolve it.
If the file is only on the local machine and in a place you have not excluded from syncing it just syncs.
If the file has been previously synced but there has been no change to the file since last sync I think it just rewrites the file to the server homedir... (Don't quote me on this one... it might not even bother with it, I'm not sure how smart the sync service is)
You can set automatic conflict resolution within WGM but as far as I know you have to do it by clicking on preferences then switching to the details tab, then click on Home Sync....com.apple.homesync. Click on the Always drop down and click the add new key button then change the new key to either Login or Logout Non-Preference sync conflict resolution and or Background sync conflict resolution and decide if MobileHome or NetworkHome Wins...or copy. In most cases I would think that you would want the MobileHome to Win.. of course there is always potential for someone to make a huge mistake on a file and pray its still fine on the server but... your call. -

All the above post duly suggest a the methods we usually follow to cancel a collapse request i.e sm37 ---> Cancel without core,but these solution only applies if we are running collapse as a seperate variant in the process chain, in case its running as a part of change run the all above process will lead to the locking of the target.
In that case if you could "lock the target" even before the collapse ran will result in the "Stopping of the collapse on the target automatically" .
As far as figuring out the exat job of the collapse, you can directly get the job details in the "display message' , context menu option of the "Collapse variant" in the chain, clicking on the batch monitor and then clicking on the job to get its detail,then going to the specific "Application server " via SM51 and cacelling the job.
Do check wearther the target is unlocked or not in sm12 if not then choose the object in se03 and select "Unlock".

Designing a BPEL process without JDev will not be a good way to go, but you can deploy the process without JDev and also can change the dynamic parameters while deployment. For that you, need a separate ANT script. For Prod Env this is a very common thing.

Can someone clarify the syncing restrictions for all iPods? (minus shuffle)
I currently have two libraries. When I sync my iPod with music, movies or tv shows from one library, if I try to sync from my other library requesting to sync with any of the three types, it overwrites all three. One library only has music and the other library has everything else (movies, tv shows, podcasts, etc.)
It does not overwrite my podcasts or pictures, however. Is this because of a DRM issue? Can someone clarify the syncing restrictions or point to an article about this?
Can someone also clarify if it is possible to sync my music from one library and sync my tv shows/movies without erasing my music? I am already aware of the possibility of manually managing my music and videos, but I need to sync my music for the ratings and play count.

I don't have my external drive everywhere I go, so I put all the media I want to access in my internal library. They take up a significant amount of space, so I would like to keep them separate.
