Can I get a notification upon responding to my message?

I put a message in the board. Is there a setup so that I get a notification in my e-mail when somebody answers my message?

Right below the Submit Post button is a checkbox for "E-mail me if someon replies to this"
To set this as default, go to your profile. Go to Preferenences. There is a section called "Automatic Subscription Options".
To change your e-mail address, go to your profile at the NI.com website (don't enter the forums). You'll be able to change it there.

I know exactly how you feel. I bought a video and haven't been able to watch it either. Imagine all the "couple of bucks" here and there that Apple gets to keep.

The very first time you turn on a brand new iMac you should see an animated picture on the display of the mouse's power button, followed by the trackpad's power button, which repeats until you switch on one or the other. If you're not seeing that then call AppleCare and explain what's going on: 1-800-SOS-APPL in the US.
Be patient since you will first get the automated voice-recognizing assistant (it's acutally pretty good) they you will be on hold for what seems to be an eternity, then a humanoid is going to ask your name, phone number etc. then they're going to tell you to plug in the iMac as if you're a dope.
Eventually they'll realize you really know what you're doing and help you actually fix it.
You should not have to be inconvenienced with a USB mouse although that would be the quickest way to solve this problem.

Say you have term <foo> and definition <bar> pair. Here term (any text you want highlight) is used in document at many places and definition is defined once as complete paragraph anywhere (i.e. in table cell). if same term is define at multiple places first definition is taken.
Use marker text same as your term text <foo> for tagging both term and definition.

Can't get twitter notifications

I can't get the twitter notifications to work (facebook and mail work).
And everytime I go to twitter.com with Safari, it's asking me if I accept to share it with OSX software.
Anyone has any idea ?

As for twitter.com on Safari.
Quit Safari.
Now open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/LIbrary/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari. Try twitter.com

Thank you. I meant new mail alert sound, but I didn't word it right I just want to know when new mail comes in, but its not happening. I have done different methods, including the one you suggest, but it will alert sometimes and most of the times it doesn't. For a while when I got my phone (Iphone4) and downloaded IOS6 it worked. It stopped working when I had to reset my phone to factory settings a week ago.
IOS has been updated and I have the latest software,. but it will not alert me each time I get mail. In few occassions I get the Ding of new mail, but for 15 mails I get maybe 2.

I've set up several email accounts in my Motorola Razr phone, and I've selected the check box for 'Email notifications' and selected a tone to use for each, but I can't receive a notification when I get an email. I send a test message from my computer and when I check the phone, the email is there but I know only because I checked it, not because I got a tone. Also, I've tried the 'Mailbox check frequency' on 'Push' and then I tried '5 minutes' to see if that made any difference, but no change, still no tone to let me know I've received an email.

The phone rings when someone calls and you're receiving text notification sounds? In other words, is it just the e-mail app that isn't alerting you?

How can I get recent notifications to show up in UWL notification tab?

Is it possible to get items that appear in the recent notification iView to show up under the Universal Worklist Notification tab.
For example, when I subscribe for documents in the KM document repository the subscriptions and any changes appear in the recent notification tab. How can I get them to show up in the UWL notification inbox? I've changed the subscription service channnel to add the variable Null on top of e-mail and it does not work.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Location services can run the battery down, so i'd like to know as well, with location disabled.
I have location on for Find My iPhone only, and i'd prefer to keep it that way.

I can't get my iMac to restart itt seems to start Rita back where it was when I restart and my mouse is not responding right. I can't get it to click regularly. Only the right click works

Which mouse and iMac do you have? Over the past 4 years or so there have been at least 3 mice that work on Intel based iMacs.
The first place to check is the mouse's preferences which are at System Preferences - Mouse.
If they are set correctly then do a SMC reset and see if that solves the issue:
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

How can I get instant notification of incoming emails on my iPod Touch?

The quesion is as above. I have iPod Touch 4 generation with latest iOS version, I use Gmail and Hotmail. I can read new email only when I go to Mail application, but I don't get any instant notification of incoming emails like on my BlackBerry.
Is there any way/setting to get instant notifications?

Gmail will be pushed to your ipod, hotmail has to be fetched because it's a POP account. If you have it set to 15 minutes, (which is as often as it will check) it will check your hotmail server every 15 minutes to see if you have new email.
You'll also want to make sure that it's always connected to a wifi network in order to get those notifications.

Before that, you hadn't posted since 9/27/05, and that subscription would have been eliminated by this time.

iPhone. I send a message but with our bad signal it sometimes doesn't get sent. We get a 'whoosh' when an email is sent - can I get one for text messages so I know to try again if I don hear it? It sometimes takes up to a minute to go so I can't just wait and stare at the screen!

You can run this code in the Browser Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to add a tooltip to the icon of each item in that list.
You probably need to scroll the full list to make Firefox update all attributes and you need to rerun the code in the browser console via cursor Up and Enter to update all tooltips after having done a new download.
If you run the code then you get a pop-up that shows some information of all selected items (Ctrl click multiple items).
You can open the Browser Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer).
Paste the JavaScript code in the command line and press the Enter key to run the code.
