Can I get my contacts photos back on my screen since downloading ios7

Can I get my old screen back ... I hate the screen on my I phone 5 .. All my lovely large photos. Of my contacts are gone into a tiny bubble .. I can't see who is phoning me .. As I have a lot of friends with similar names .. All my friends have the same problem ... Awful ... Wish we never downloaded the software .. Was much better before .. Help !!!

It was changed in iOS 7. No idea if it was an intentional change or not.
Apple has not stated anything about it.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

You can redownload most iTunes pruchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not think it included audio books.

I got my ipod restored, how do I get my stuff back? I dont know if i backed it up? how to get my contacts/photos back?

My ipod touch 4 has been freezing/shutting down alot so i press the top and middle button to restart it. Its been a while since i plugged my ipod to itunes so i just did and there was a problem syncing/connecting to itunes? I had to restore it, and when i did everything is gone! All my contacts,& photos. I got my music back by syncing it. but i dont think i backed up my contacts/photos??? how can i get these stuff back? and i use pinger/textfree for texting so is there a way i can get contacts back with that?

- If you backed up then restore from backup. On your computer go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and see if you have a backup dated before you had the problem. On the restored iPod go to Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup and see if you have aback dated before the problem.
- You may be able to get back some of your photos if you do not have a backup:

After your photos have been imported from your Camera Roll or Saved Photos, you can use iTunes to sync them back to your device.
- For contacts if you do not have a backup is to sync them to the program (Google contacts) that you used before. If you do not have one then you can't get them back.

Upgraded to iphoto 11 version 9.4.3, how can i get my old photos back?

Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the subfolders of the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window a few at a time.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Can I get my precious photos back?

Last week I experienced what is known as a Kernel Panic.
I took my 15 month old iMac (Intel Core Duo) to a local Mac Support Shop.
After some testing the Support guy told me the Hard Drive was at fault.
He could not restore the drive.
To get my iMac going again he replaced the Hard Drive and reinstalled OS x.
All my data was on that original Hare Drive.
Most precious of all the data was the many digital photos that I took of my son since he was born over a year ago. The other stuff I will get over, but not the photos of my son.
I never backed up my data.
The only hope I have is that my iPod contains all my photos (as well as my music library etc.) since my last sync.
Do any of you kind folk know if there is a way that I can retrieve those precious photos from my iPod and back onto my new Hard Drive?

If you copied photos to your iPod using the full resolution option, enable disk use, open your iPod in Finder, open the photos folder then open the "full resolution" folder and drag the photos out of that folder to your desktop. For enabling disk use look here.

If you only copied the photos as thumbnails, you can't do this so you'll need a program such as this one.
Copy photos from iPod to a Mac.
Photos as thumbnails won't be of the original quality when copied back to your computer.

thats what i thought but there is nothing in the dropdown menu :-(

Have you synced your iPhone with iTunes on this computer before? If not, nothing is selected automatically under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Was this the first time your iPhone was connected to iTunes on any computer? If so, the first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes for the first time that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or eyeless device to the iPhone or set up the iPhone as a new iPhone. This is not automatic, it must be manually selected.

If you have synced your phone with a computer connect to that computer and you can back it up without the passcode. If you have not synced to a computer there is no way to recover data without the passcode.

I'm afraid you're out of luck. If it says incomplete you won't be able to access the backup.
