Can I have a personal calendar that doesn't sync to MobileMe?

I am trying to create a calendar that does not sync with the rest of my calendars to MobileMe. It seems that since I am signed into MobileMe, every calendar will sync. How do I work around this?
I work for a small business and we are using MobileMe for our calendar system, but I could also like to use iCal for my person calendars as well. Any info?

What am I missing? Another question: What do I need to have at client-side to implement jms? Does the clients need to download any other libraries to run it? Can I get a java client sending messages to a .net c# server through a jms provider?

Dude. Once your personal biometric data has been gathered and digitized, it will be available to anyone that is determined enough to get it. PERIOD. Think of all the other times Apple has said they were not collecting data and it turned out they were. Think about the recent NSA discussions of backdoors that allow the monitoring of email and other data. Apple has not come out and said clearly that their A7 chip doesn't have a backdoor, or that there is absolutely no way your fingerprint data could not be accessed and collected. If it can be stored and retrieved by the iOS on the phone, it can ultimately be accessed by bad guys that are determined enough. I'm done. I'm not interested in any device that collects such data. Why would anyone allow their person and privacy be invaded in that way? Of course if you buy the phone and agree to the EULA you have consented to the collection and use of this information. Enjoy!

No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

Have read the printer manual, it will contain instructions for connecting it to a network, and then to your Mac. You don't identify this printer so it's difficult to be more specific.
You can also go to the printer manufacturers website and seek assistance there.

Depending upon what version of iOS that you have it on, you might have a Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password setting which you can set to 'Immediately' - there should also be an 'In-App Purchases' setting on the Restrictions screen which you can set to 'off' so as to prevent in-app purchases bein made.

Try this.
Open the document and select and copy a few pages, say ten pages.
Open a new blank document and paste the pages you copied into that.
Save it with a new name.
Work on those new pages to see if the problem has disappeared.
If this helps, continue breaking up the large file in to smaller chunks and working on them
You can of course later reverse the process and merge the files into one new one.
This suggestion is based on my experiences with large Word files. Breaking it up in to smaller chunks does two things. First, if there is any corruption in the old file, the new copies might escape that. Second, the Mac is faster handling the smaller chunks.

for example: say i write a paragraph. then, in a weird some sort of way an involuntary gap suddenly appears between different letters of random words(i did not recognize any pattern to the gap appearing) throughout the entire paragraph. once i've double clicked on that paragraph, and made a minor change, lets say tapped a 'space' key, and then clicked ctrl+z to undo, it has aligned(or fixed) the entire paragraph and made it look ok again. i've tried numerous ways to undo the entire thing, but cannot find the reason. i've been working for a few years and there's no reason why this thing all of a sudden should happen right now.
if anyone has stumbled on something like that and can advise, i would welcome it.

if you look closely you'll see that almost every line has a single letter apart. in hebrew there is no usually a singe letter structured words.

How can I have a browser image that scrolls with images on top of it scrolling in tandem - so the background is a hexagon pattern with small images inside some hexagons and I want them all to be scrollable as a user uses the browser scroll bars. At the moment the background image jumps when I preview so the small hexagons all become out of alignment. Any tips appreciated. I have browser image set to tile - pinned at the middle and set to scrolling - the small images are not pinned -

Thanks for your answer - The images on the top layer are also links and change to show they're links on rollover - so I wanted to keep them as separate graphics - and it works to a point but when I preview the page in a browser the tiled browser image always moves no matter how I pin it and then everything becomes unaligned. Any further suggestions appreciated.

On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Toggle Documents & Data off then back on then restart your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
On the iMac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Documents & Data then reselect it then restart your iMac.

Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

A folder window should open with a file named "Bookmarks.plist" selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the folder open.
Relaunch Safari. It will open with the default set of bookmarks. Delete them all. Select
File ▹ Import Bookmarks
from the Safari menu bar. Import from the bookmarks file you moved to the Desktop. Arrange the bookmarks as you wish.
If Safari now performs normally, you can delete the old bookmarks file. Otherwise, quit Safari again and put back the file you moved, replacing the newer one with the same name. Close the Finder window and post again.

Thanks for the tip...I just logged onto iCloud.com and the folders/mail are correct (compared to my laptop). This tells me the problem is on my phone. So I will try an erase/restore to see what that does!

Added calendar in iCal not synced to MobileMe

I moved a calendar from "On My Mac" to my MobileMe account group, using the export-import method. The new calendar, however, does not sync to MobileMe. I even tried an overwrite (bookmarks, calendars, contacts and keychains) from my Mac to MobileMe but the added calendar still did not appear in MobileMe.
I quit and relaunched iCal, which started an immediate sync. The new calendar promptly disappeared from iCal and I got a string of error messages (one for each entry in the new calendar, it seems) all ending with
The server responded with
“HTTP/1.1 409 Conflict”
and asking me to either "Go Offline" or "Revert to Server". It didn't seem to matter which one I selected – the error just kept cropping up. Eventually, I gave up and force quit iCal.

Import an iCal calendar or event
If you use iCal and want to add your iCal calendars and events to a MobileMe calendar, you can import them.
Hide
To import an iCal calendar:
Open iCal, and then select the iCal calendar you want to import into your MobileMe calendar.
Choose File > Export > Export.
Type a calendar name, choose a location from the Where pop-up menu, and click OK.You can store the exported file anywhere, and you can delete it after you finish importing it.
Choose File > New Calendar, and then choose a MobileMe calendar (by default, your MobileMe email address).
Type a calendar name (you can use the same name as the calendar you just exported), and press Return.
Choose File > Import > Import, select your exported iCal calendar, and then click Import.
Select the destination MobileMe calendar to which you want to add the imported iCal calendar, and then click OK.
Quit iCal and go to the Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars Folder and delete any/all files with "Cache" as a part of the name. Log out/in or restart and reattempt using the exact procedure which I copied from the MobileMe Help page.

When I receive appointments by email and accept them they go into the enourage "on my mac" ical calendar which is not synced with mobileme. How do I change where appointments are put ?

I use the mobileme sync services so the ical calendars that are synced are those in the "[email protected]" group.

Actually you can't drag the appointment to ano calendar - its says "You can’t make changes to this invitation., Only the organiser can change this event"
Also if you double click on the received appointment and open the window the only calendars shown that you can select are the 'on my mac" ones, and not the sync'd ones.
Any ideas welcome !!
