Can I "Invert" my screen image?

I would like to use a new iBook or Powerbook as an "in car" game station and/or DVD player for the kids. It would be great if I could invert the video image so I can mount the laptop upside down on my Van roof liner. I have mounted an older Bronze Keyboard Powerbook in the upright position which makes for a bulky bracket and you can't really flip the screen or laptop out of the way. The screen on my old powerbook puts any in car entertainment system to shame and I am sure a newer iBook or Powerbook would be even better. With a Deluo Bluetooth GPS tracking unit and Route 66 software, the Powerbook becomes a useful multi-use tool on trips. Get to the hotel, remove it from the car and surf the net from the hotel room.
Any new iBook or Powerbook (ready to purchase)   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Sorry if this answer is a bit too late for your planned purchase. I have an ibook G4 1.2 with ATI Radeon 9200 card and downloaded a set of drivers from ATI. This installed an ATI Display tab in system preferences and one of the advanced options is to flip the display onto its side or upside down. No hardware modifications needed. Sounds like it does what you want.

after upgraded to 7.0, I can't send the print screen image by Ctrl-V into the message box.
I can send only text by Ctrl-V now...

    2 issues
    1. ALT + PRT + SCR PTR to capture a screen print and the CTRL + V into the chatbox still works but the receiving party since 1 or 2 days seems to receive blurry images. These images are so blurry that they become unreadable. I understand that i can sent images with file transfer, but when you do this 100 times per day this requires me to first open an image editor, save the image, then click on file transfer, find the image and press send. So this blurry variant that is sent now is really an issue for me.
    2. from time to time, files that are sent simpy do not arrive on the other side. So i can be speaking to the other side but the image randomly simply doesn't arrive. This issue comes and goes and it affects file transfers and pasted images into the chat.

  • How can I rotate a screen image on a peripheral monitor?

I have a MacBook that runs OS 10.5.8.  I bought a Samsung monitor for it that rotates 90 degrees so that I could use certain very large files.
The last time I used the MacBook, I used it with  the image rotated 90 degrees (so that the screen is about 3 times as tall as it is wide), as I planned to.
Since then, because of my job, I have been using a Windows OS laptop  exclusively when I've used the Samsung monitor.  It worked fine, and in fact although I wanted to try to use the Samsung with the Dell Windows OS with the rotation, I found that I could not do so, because the Windows OS would not support the rotation.
I have now returned the Dell laptop after transferring all my files to my MacBook.  Today I connected the MacBook to the Samsung for the first time, and was stunned to see the Mac screen appearing at the 90-degree rotation.  No matter what I do, I can't figure out how to restore it.  So I have this huge monitor and basically it's showing me the same screen size as I have on my laptop.  When I change the resolution, it just gets distorted.  And nowhere can I find out how to rotate the image back to landscape.
Online, the only instructions I have found refer to a Preferences Panel in the Displays section of the System Preferences which allows you to choose a rotation.  However, I can't locate that panel.  I tried to find it through Spotlight, using the word "rotate," and here's what came up:
It lists "Displays" as one of the first two hits
But when I click on that, I get the "Displays" window labeled "Color LCD"
And that window is obscured by a smaller window that says the following:
The Geometry tab of Displays preferences is hidden because this display does not have
    geometry controls.
Which is insane, since the reason that my display is now set at 90-degrees is that I did the rotation while using this MacBook.
If anyone can help me get this resolved, I would be very grateful.
    Thanks.

Click the gear button on the clip and select Cropping & Rotation.
There are rotation buttons at the top of the viewer.

  • Can't get full screen images on Flash 10.1 - just white screen

Hi - not sure if anyone can help.  I watch Create & Craft via my computer.  When you go on site there is a small video box playing the programme with an arrow and "view full screen" in the corner.  Normally I just click this arrow and it changed to full screen.  However, since downloading 10.1 all I get now when I click on the arrow is a totally white screen - it's really frustrating and any help would be appreciated.

Hi, try turning off the hardware acceleration feature. You can go to youtube and right click on a video and bring up Display Setting and Uncheck it.
It is also recommended to update the graphic and video drivers to the latest versions.
    See if that helps.
    Thanks,

  • Full screen images on E65

How can i put full screen images on my E65??

Well, when you say fullscreen, you mean you want it to cover the active standby apps, as well, as the clock and provider area? If so, then you would have to customize your picture and turn it into a theme. If not, then edit your picture to be 240x320 pixels in the dimension. Your picture could be larger in size as long as it has the same aspect ratio, it should fit in perfect. I have not tried this myself, but theoretically it should work.
    Hope that helps.

  • Screen image capture

How can I capture a screen image from my iMac and send it to my iPhone?

    To take a picture of the screen see;
Once you have the image file, right click it and choose Share. Pick the method you want to send it to the phone.
You could also import the image into iPhoto (if you have it) and place it into the photo stream.

    Hello,
Please make sure that the next button is pinned to the right side as there in the attached image.
If it is already pinned, you can try removing any embedded HTML code and checking it.

  • Can I use split screens on and extra monitor I have. I can get mirror image on both screens, but not a split screen. The monitor is 1600 x 900.

Can I use split screens on an extra monitor I have? I can get a mirror image on both screens, but not a split screen. The monitor is 1600 x 900 AOC 20inch monitor. Hope I haven't wasted my money buying this £69 monitor. My 13" Macbook Pro is a little small for my ageing eyes. Thanks

In the display settings on your computer uncheck "mirrored". This will put the displays in "extended" mode. In extended mode you can set the external display to its native resolution as well as drag windows from your computer to the external monitor. I assume that is what you mean when you say "split screen".

The startup disk may need repairing ...
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click:  Verify Disk  (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If the disk needs repairing, restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you can access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery to repair the startup disk.

  • The iPhone update 8.3 (12F70) is making my home screen wallpapers darker than the picture itself. Even if I set the same picture as home and lock screen wallpaper, the home screen image is noticeably darker. How can I change this?

Is anyone else noticing the same issue?
I'm really unhappy with the upgrade, the darker home screen images alters the coloring and detracts from the overall "light" feeling.

Apparently it's been an issue since 7.1, according to this: http://forums.imore.com/ask-question/282076-black-tint-across-top-my-lock-screen -wallpaper.html
The iPhone 6 is my first iPhone so I've never used iOS 7 before. Can anybody who has provide more info on this?

  • New home screen image... Can I get the old one back?

I updated to iOS 4 today, as most others have done, and I noticed there was something different about it that I didn't like. After a few seconds I realized the wallpaper was changed! Instead of the silver dock bar at the bottom, the most used apps are sitting on a little piece of glass or something...?? ***? I mean it's not a HUGE deal, but having something I'm going to have to constantly look at without even letting me know, and having me be unable to change it... that's just rude! If there was a way I could get the old home screen image back I'd REALLY appreciate it.
