Can I listen to audiobooks apart from the Music app?

Is there any way for me to listen to my iTunes audiobooks apart from the Music app?
The music app is annoying. It can't remember the playback position of the audiobook files.
I used to change the books into podcasts and then use the podcasts app but now it wouldn't sync .
I wish Apple will make a seperate Audiobooks app...

Very well, indeed it's true according to information found on google search. The hardware capability for FM radio does exists in some models—the current iPod touch and iPhone 3GS have FM transmitters, and the 2nd-gen iPod touch also has a chip that's capable of receiving FM signals, though it uses it for Nike+ stuff (so if there is a radio app, maybe it'll just be for current-gen models). The third-generation, 32GB and 64GB iPod touch models have a Broadcom chip that supports FM transmitting, though no talk has emerged of implementing that technique.

For now, the only way to stream music offline(without the use of the Internet) is available on the rhapsody application. The version 2.0 of the Rhapsody application latest update, lets subscribers download their favorite Rhapsody playlists to their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad so they can listen anytime -- even when they're not connected to the Internet. However the Rhapsody music service t needs a $10 a month subscription in order to enjoy it's feature, it also has a free trial before you make any subscription payments.

So where do you do when apps just seem to stop working, particularly when you paid for an app. I have now had then happen twice and there seems to be very little customer care from Apple when this occurs. Just a note to let customers know that an app will no longer work or who to contact would be great. Thanks, Kevin

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.

It didn't show up in my music app for several hours. Don't know why... But it's there.
I can now access and add stations through the iTunes Store to play through music app icon.

I bought an audiobook, but it wont show up in the audiobook section in the music app. When I go to the book in the search in ITunes, it says it is downloaded...but does not show up in the audiobooks section in my music app

If you pull down the centre of the iPad's homescreen (not from right at the top of the screen as that will open notifications) to open the search field, if you type in the name of the audiobook or the name of the author does that find it ?

Does the EQ setting affect only audio played from the Music app?

Does the EQ setting in Settings -> Music affect only audio played from the Music app or does it also affect any other audio? Specifically, I'd like to know if the setting is applied to audio podcasts that are played from Downcast. Thanks!

Restoring tracks deleted from the music app

Hi all,
I had to delete a bunch of music from the music app on my iPhone to make space for the iOS 7 update. That's all been done and dusted and my iPhone 4 is running iOS 7 without a problem.
Now I plug in my phone to my laptop thinking iTunes will now re-sync all the music I deleted from my phone thus restoring my library to how it was, however that has not proved to be the case and iTunes isn't restoring those tracks I deleted. Is there anything I need to do to make iTunes restore those tracks that were deleted?

I can't sign in to YouTube from the iPhone app...

I've searched and seen a lot of people posting about this. However, nobody seems to be having the same problem as I am.
When I attempt to log in to YouTube either from the YouTube app, or from my video upload screen, it just continually pops up the YouTube sign in screen. No error message. I know I am using the correct YouTube sign in - I have verified it. I do not have 2 step authentication activated on my Google account. Why can I not sign in? I am extremely frustrated by this - all I am trying to do is upload a video I took on my iPhone 4, and I can't even get signed in to YouTube. I can get there from their mobile site, but frankly, why do I have an app if I can't use it?
Can anyone help me?

I was actually never able to "restart" the youtube app, because its a "stock" app, and they can't be deleted or restarted. I actually set up the 2-step google verification according to the advice in the previous posts, and that wasn't working so I switched it back from the verification. Then I took the ipod to school, and used it there and it worked again...I think maybe it was a problem with my WiFi at home or something..? Honestly, I was not really sure what fixed it...sorry, that's probably not super helpful for you...what exactly is the problem with your youtube app on your ipod touch?? Can't sign in...??

Why is Podcast missing from the Music App. in iOS7

I'm dissapointed on the fact that Podcasts are no longer supported by iOS7's music app.
I used it on a daily basis and its hard for me to believe that Apple purposely made this change. I hope this is just an error which can be acceptable and hopefully fixed soon.

Which is a horrible app that shows every **** podcast you subsctribe to, whether or not you have a new episode, and doesn't let you arrange them properly to only show unplayed episodes. It's also a completely needless app since the Music app handles podcasts just fine.

Why has "get more episodes" disappeared from the Music App in iOS5

Since I upgrade to iOS5 I have noticed 2 "downsides" to the "iPod" replacement app "Music".
Firstly the "get more episodes" has disappearwed from the podcast pages as has the symbols as to which track is playing or is unplayed.
Apple please may we have these facilities back?

I don't care for the changes to "music", formerly "ipod", app either. Even the icon color is a bit much compared to the old ipod icon.
I really miss the "get more episodes" and hope it will be back soon. It is a good feature, and one I used every day.
The format is harder to work with.
If one podcast is playing or loaded and paused, I don't seem to be able to activate a different podcast.
All but one or two of the podcast icons just show music note instead of podcast picture.
Button to switch back to list of podcast episodes seems to be gone as well.
Missing the played/unplayed as well.
There is no 30 second replay button on the broadcast as far as I can tell.
I seem to be getting all episodes listed on a podcast page, but not all of them are even loaded.
IOS5 didn't really improve the podcast format/experience, but has made it less user-friendly. IMO
