Can I manage my iTunes Library from my iPhone?
I have a playlist in iTunes on my PC called 'iPhone', which is selected to sync with my iPhone 4.
I tend to sync via WiFi because I often don't have access to the computer used to manage my library (it is used for streaming films to the TV).
During these times, I'd like to be able to manage my iTunes library so that I can edit the tracks that are on the 'iPhone' playlist, and then sync via WiFi.. So I can manage what music is synced to my iPhone without ever touching the PC.
Is this feasible? If so how can it be achieved?
Any help appreciated
Cheers,
Jack
iTunes only supports transferring purchased items from iOS devices for copyright reasons. To learn how to do this, take a look at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
For any music not purchased from iTunes, Apple does not support transferring that content and you can check with third-parties for more information.

Recently my hard drive failed on my mac mini. I had burned a bunch of CDs on the old mac mini and then sync'd it with my iphone. Now the CDs are on my iphone but not on the new mac mini. How can I sync my itunes library from my iphone to my new mac mini?
The iphone is not a backup device.
You need to copy everything from the backup copy of your computer computer to your new one. -

Install iTunes 9.2.1 on your computer. If the device's requirements specify iTunes 10 or newer, you need to purchase Mac OS X 10.5 on DVD.

My Itunes Library and iPhone have fallen out of sync on music over the yearsare - how can I compare my itunes library with my Iphone to see what songs are missing from my library so I can then bring my Library up to date
Hello Solid Buck,
Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing. It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone, but when you connect it to iTunes, iTunes only shows you one copy of the song on your iPhone.
In this situation, I recommend deleting the individual songs that do not play directly from your iPhone. I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf):
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

My computer died. Can I recreate my iTunes library from my old hard drive?
My computer died and I had not backed up my iTunes library (I know, I know). The crash was not due to a corrupted hard drive, however, and I can access all the files from my old hard drive with my new computer, including any iTunes files. Can I recreate my iTunes library from these files on my new computer?
Thanks!!Yes.
Transfer the iTunes named folder located in the Music folder from the hard drive on the failed computer to the appropriate location on your new computer - with iTunes quit when doing so.
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, click the triangles next to the folders and drives to navigate. In Windows Vista, the default location is: \username\Music\iTunes. In Windows 7, the default location is: \username\My Music\iTunes. -
My mac hard drive crashed, and had to be replaced. Can I restore my iTunes library from my iPod to my new hard drive? About 2500 songs, some from iTunes store, most from other online sources or my own CDs.
To restore non-purchased music on the iTunes Store to iTunes from the iPod, you need a third-party application as Senuti > http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/ You can use others, but this has worked perfectly for me

Can I download my iTunes library (from iCloud) in it's entirety if I have a hard drive crash?
You can download the music from iCloud using the download arrows besides the songs - see the iTunes help:
Play or download songs from iCloud
You can play songs directly from iCloud, or you can download songs so you can play them when you’re not connected to the Internet.
If a song is available in iCloud, it has a Download button next to it.
To play the song, double-click it.
To download the song, click the Download button.
After you download a song to a computer, it remains in the computer’s iTunes library, even if you turn off iTunes Match.
To only display downloaded songs in your iTunes library, choose View > Hide Music in the Cloud. This also hides anyprevious iTunes Store purchases you haven’t downloaded. -
Can I transfer my itunes library from my ipod to my new imac? If so how is it done?
Can I transfer my itunes library from my ipod to my new imac? If so how is it done?
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Of course. The best would be to transfer the iTunes library from your old Mac or PC to the new Mac, so you will keep everything and you won't have to use any third-party app.
Anyway, if you don't have access to the old PC or Mac, you can transfer songs from the iPod to your Mac. If you purchased all the songs on the iTunes Store, just open iTunes, connect the iPod and transfer the songs. If you are using an iPod touch, you will lose everything if you sync it with iTunes on the new iMac.
Another method is to use an app like Senuti to transfer the songs to iTunes, being a safer way to transfer them if you aren't sure that you will lose your songs
