Can I purchase one of the new multi-carrier 'Apple SIM Cards' for an iPad Air 2 purchased in Australia?
I'd like the benefit of, when visiting the US, selecting a wireless carrier without having to swap in a carrier-specific SIM card.
The following questions are not clear on the Apple website (and the chat reps don't sound knowledgeable)
Does this nifty multi-carrier 'Apple SIM card' come only with an iPad Air 2 sold in the US or UK?
If an iPad Air 2 sold in Australia does not come with a mult-carrier 'Apple SIM card', can I purchase one while in the US? If so, how much is it?
Yeah It'll work, if the iPad is not locked to AT&T. Why should you buy from AT&T if you can buy from anywhere else and get an Apple SIM. Using that you can change carriers whenever you want. But if you change the carrier to AT&T, I've heard that they Lock your iPad to AT&T. Thats a bad move by them.
I've compared the bandwidths of networks myself and they are exactly the same in US and India

Where do I get a nano SIM card for my iPad which will work in the USA. I need to get on line in the car. Do I need one from AT&T and can you get in the USA as easily as getting a sin card here.
We don't know where "here" is.
You don't need a sim card to use any navigation app. Navigation apps use GPS which is independent of cellular data. -
Is there a way to either reinstall the OSX version that is currently on my Macbook Pro, onto the new HD or do I have to have the Snow Leopard disk and then upgrade to the newer versions all over again?
Depending on your processor and RAM installed, you can install lion from the app store under the apple drop down menu. You have to have at least 2 GB of RAM installed and you have to have an intel core 2 duo processor to run Lion. This you can find out in "About This Mac" under the apple drop down menu. That is the only OS that's newer than yours and one that isn't installed from a disc

If the iPhone is officially unlocked, then it should work with any compatible carrier anywhere. You will not get any support from Apple in Egypt for a US-sold iPhone, though.

On the Toshiba website you can search for the nearest authorized service provider. They sell all original Toshiba spare parts. Call them and ask for a new keyboard, they can order a new one for you.

Second hands you get from eBay for example but normally keyboards are not so expensive so I would buy a new one. -
I currently have the new iPad Air with Verizon and will probably also get one of the iPad Minis with Retina display when it comes out "end of November". I know I could get a WiFi only and use my phone or Air as a Hotspot but to that wears the battery hour out faster and it doesn't feel like the Hotspot speed is as fast as a 4G LTE device and the extra step of turning on the Hotspot and connecting to it instead of the simplicity of turning the device on and its connected to the 4G when I'm not on WiFi.
I'm willing to pay the premium to get a Mini with Verizon built-in but since I'm the only one using it away from home needing the LTE and I figure I can leave the other device at home for my wife to use via WiFi - I'm wondering if I could simply move the Sim Card back and forth to which ever device I want to use on the road hence saving the $10 per month device fee to Verizon?

Never Received Points for an Ipad Air Purchase even When No Financing Was Choosen
I'm hoping to find resolution on this matter, so I'm posting it here. I did call customer service many times and to no avail. as well as the credit card company. It was just a waste of time and I was frustrated at the lack of knowledge (I was told different things), the wait time, and their lack of effort to help you. In my last call, they gave me a claim number as they will let the back office research it. I read a post that the back office was no help as well, so I'm posting it here.
I ordered an Ipad Air online at a store last June 2014 and at the same time I applied for the credit card with a membership in your program. The guy who helped me told me that I will earn points with purchases and can convert it to a reward certificate to use. Points doesn't expire but when converted to certificate, the certificate does. Anyway, last week I went to purchase something fron Best Buy and ask for my points balance. The lady told me that I don't have a reward certificate, but said I have to open an account online to check my points. I opened an account online and to my surprised I didn't get any points for my purchase. I called your customer service and was told that my purchase was already more than 3 months and too late to report missing points, One customer service told me, it needs to be reported within 6 months. One was even rude and blamed me for not checking and that I should just let it go and stop wasting my time and that sometimes, even when you use your credit card, it fails to attached the purchase. Best Buy Customer Service is really something! I called the credit card customer service and asked why my purchase was not attached to my membership ID when I use my credit card. I was trasferred to the Rewards customer service and was told that points were not given because I choose Zero Financing. I told her that I choose No Financing and was eligible for double points as stated in my receipt. She put me on hold and consult a specialist. She told me that I choose Zero Finacing and I said that's not true. She trasferred me to the credit card customer service to verify and I told her to stay in the line. She hanged up before the credit card customer service confirmed that I had no financing ( I paid in full when I got my statement). I called the Rewards customer service who opened a claim and told me that the back office will research my claim. At this point, I'm not hopeful, so I'm hoping somebody can help me. Before we get to the heart of the matter at hand, I would strongly suggest saving yourself the time and not calling Citibank again because they have no say over the My Best Buy program. I would also suggest that you read over the Program Terms because whatever information you may have been told is not exactly correct. A certificate will be automatically issued based on your certificate preference (defaults at $5) and points can be forfeited if an account goes 12 consecutive months without activity.
With that out of the way, I can confirm that the iPad you ordered back in June 2014 did post to your My Best Buy account. You should be able to see that order by logging into your My Best Buy account and scrolling your purchase history back to 2014; however, you were not awarded any points because the iPad was applied to a 12 month promotional financing offer. As you have come to find out, any purchases that are applied to a promotional financing offer do not qualify for points (base or bonus).
I do want to apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced, as you should not have had to spend so much time on the phone trying to get all of this figured out. I am going to send you a private message so that I can gather some additional information and to go over your My Best Buy account with you. If you could ,why would you want do that? So you are going to be switching your SIM back and forth between devices.? Not practical. And your are going to pay more money for a Wifi+SIM model and only use it with a SIM part of the time? Not economical.
Do what Alfred has suggested and use the Personal Hotspot on a Wifi only model if you want to "share" the SIM. Or if you buy the WIFI+SIM model opt in to a data iPad plan with your carrier. If you already have data on your iPhone, some carriers "allow you to use the data plan on more than one device for a modest add on fee. Contact your carrier. -
Sim cards for 3G iPad - can a French card be inserted into an English iPad
If I were to purchase a 3G enabled iPad here in the UK, could I take it to France, purchase a sim card there and e.g. a months subscription (forfait), take out the UK card and replace it with the French card, and start to use the iPad in the normal way. On return to the UK, I would then replace the UK card, and carry on as normal here.
Yes, I have a Spanish iPad (it wears a flamenco dress) and I have taken it to England and used a UK sim card. It works fine.
But yes, you may have to manually enter settings. This sounded like a big deal to me when I found this out, but I did a search on the web for the carriers settings and they came up. I just entered them and the UK sim works.
So, yes, you can use different sims and from different countries. In my experience. -

Well blow me down & keelhaul me! I've solved my own problem. The issue appears to be that Apple won't sync Smart Groups from Address Book to the iPhone. I created a test group with a few dud contacts in Address Book; iTunes sync'ed then OK & as soon as I went into Contacts on iPhone, there suddenly was the Groups button appearing with 2 Groups - my Test Group + all Other contacts. Nice one apple - another undocumented feature! Looks like I have to do away with the Smart Groups feature & convert them all to normal Groups in Address book - bugga!

It is my understanding that if you delete the account per the instructions below, you will be able recreate, but you will NOT have access to the prior BBM contacts.

You have to remember either the BlackBerryID password, or the secret question answer. Without either, you're stuck.
Your choices are:
--Use another email account to create an entirely new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to any purchased apps using the "forgotten" first BlackBerryID, or
--Find the initial email you were sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID, and in it is a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on that, delete the account and then you can use that same email to create an entirely new account.

I purchased my daughter the new ipod. I downloaded the latest version of itunes. After syncing the ipod, all my songs appear grayed out. They have an exclamation point next to them. Even the ones I purchased from itunes. How do I get my songs back?
Usually, the exclamation mark tells you that the song was not where the program expected to find it. It may also mean that there was an error with the file itself.
If you click on the exclamation mark, it may give you a reason. You can also double click the file to make it play. If the file is not found, it will tell you. Just follow the prompts to look for the song again. It will ask you if you want to look for the other missing songs in the same folder. You can do it, but unfortunately, the last few updates have made the program blind to the songs that are there and you sometimes have to do the same process for each song.
If neither of these help, I would suggest starting from scratch and reinstalling iTunes. I have had to do that before. Do your best to back up the library and such first.
Sometimes a computer will rename a hard disk (Windows) and all the songs on that disk will be gone to iTunes because it will think it's looking in the right place. It can't recognize that the hard disk or partition has been renamed.
I know that this is a podcast, but the principle is the same. A dialogue box should pop up to tell you just what the problem is.
