You can convert your file to a .dng file and that will encapsulate the meta data into the file instead of it being in a separate side car file!

The "caption" is metadata. Metadata is included in most image-format files. How it is displayed is determined by the program you use to show the picture on the computer screen. You currently have Aperture set to "over-lay" the caption at the bottom of the Image.

You can't re-download audiobooks on any computer - they are currently a one-time only download. Music can be re-downloaded in some countries, they are listed on this page. Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #1, Repair Permissions, followed by Option #4, Rebuild Database, if needed.

I receive many emails. From those I cut/paste some portions and then send all of these in one email to many on 'my list' each day. This has worked for several years, however, two days ago, when I sent that email (the cut-paste version), none of the photos would transfer. Same thing yesterday. Very frustrating. Help!!!

Can I share contacts and notes between two iCloud accounts without sending every contact/note?

My wife and I have been sharing my iCloud account which is very convenient because we automatically get the same calendar, contacts and notes on our devices. If I were to put her on a separate iCloud account, can we automatically share our contacts and notes without having to send every single one every time a change is made? I understand that the calendars can be shared fairly easily with family sharing but the others may be more problematic.

Thanks for the reply. That's how I set it up originally. Although the new iOS 7 update lost some functionality. I found the following on the TUAW website. The Safari Bookmarks and Find My Phone options have been removed from the secondary iCloud accounts options. This is the problem. Everything worked great before we updated. I guess "new way" consolidates the iCloud accounts better with Maverick? Now I will have extra documents on my phone that I don't need. We will both have to share the same iCloud storage and backup space too. Have to try it out and see how it works. Thanks.

You can share they space if they all use the same Apple ID, but that's not really a good idea, because you'll then share contacts, calendars, photos etc etc.

Why do symbols I insert into Word docs show up funny when I send the docs to others? I am using Mac OS X v. 10.6.8 and Microsoft Office 2008.

Whenever I insert a symbol (from Webdings, etc.) as a bullet or just an insert, it looks fine on my copy, however, when I send the document to someone else they tell me it shows up as a weird looking character, like a little number inside a circle. It has happened with several symbols I've used. Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks!

Webdings and wingdings are non-standardized in terms of how they should be encoded and thus subject to the kind of problem you have encountered. Best to use dingbats or other symbols found in the non-private-use ranges of Unicode in your Character Viewer.
