Can I use a Magsafe 60w charger for my mac air (late 2013)?

Can I use a magsafe 60w charger with my late 2013 macbook air computer. The connector is right but the computer came with a 45w charger.

Can I use my iphone 5 charger for the ipad air?

It's really not recommended. The iPhone's 5w charger does not output enough current to properly charge the battery. It -may- charge but if it did, it would charge the iPad very slowly.
This would be like trying to fill a bucket of water (iPad) with a squirt gun (5w charger)
Also under iOS 7, the charging requirements are much stricter than iOS 6. You'll likey get an error message if you try.

  • Can I use an 85 watt charger with my mac air

I have multipke 85 watt chargers from mmp's but only one for a 2011 mac air and want to be sure that it is safe to use the 85 watt chargers, hate to waste $ purchasing a charger just for the mba.
    Thanks

It's fine. You can use a higher than specified wattage, just not a lower one, when charging a MacBook.
My MBA is tied to a 85 watt this very moment, and most of the time.

  • Can I use my iPad mini charger for my iPhone 5c.

Can I use my iPhone 5c charger for my iPad mini

    Hi 50mike,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article below may be able to help you with this.
Click on the link to see more details and screenshots.
iPhone, iPad, iPod: Using iPad Power Adapters
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4327
You can use the iPad mini charger to charge the iPhone 5C, but not recommended the other way around.
The article below explains that the iPhone charger is meant to charge only iPhones and 1st generation iPad mini.
    iPad: Charging the battery
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4060
To charge your iPad battery, try one of these:
Connect iPad to a power outlet using the included cable and USB power adapter (use the table below to determine which adapter is intended for your iPad.)
Connect to a high-power USB 2.0 port using the included cable.
Note: Some USB 2.0 ports and accessories do not provide enough power to charge iPad. When this occurs the message "Not Charging" appears in the status bar next to the battery icon.
I hope this information helps ....
    Happy Holidays!

  • Can I use my Android tablet charger for the PlayBook?

    Hello,
I got a PlayBook and it came with the wrong charger plug. It's for the US that I can't use here in Germany.
Can I use my Android tablet charger for the PlayBook instead?
The information on the chargers are similiar but for the output it's a bit different: (They both say 5V but than 1.8 instead of 1.5)
    PlayBook charger output: 5V = 1.8A
    Android tablet charger output: 5V = 1.5A
    Thanks for any feedback.

It'll charge slightly slower, but yes.

  • Why isn't Photoshop fully optimized for the Mac Pro (Late 2013), and when will this happen?

On the new Mac Pro (late 2013):
Currently, Photoshop CC 2014 seems to lag behind iMacs and Macbook Pros (even older ones) for some tasks.
I assume that this issue is related to either multi-core processing but seems more likely to be a problem with the ATI GPUs not being optimized as the Nvidia GPUs are.
Why is this the case, and when will this be addressed?
Any feedback from Adobe official would be appreciated.
    Thanks

That's what it suggests to you, in the limited scope of your vision and knowledge, and without your having provided detailed specs about your hardware.
Due to the current unavailability of clairvoyants and mind-readers in the forum, we respectfully request you supply sensible, complete details.
We don't even know what your specific issues are, and for all we know you may be running the pathetic, buggy Yosemite OS—which Apple is giving away for free.
In this case, you have been enormously fortunate in that you received a reply from none other than Gµrµ Chris Cox, a top Adobe engineer who has been writing Photoshop code since the last millennium.
It's hight time you drop the attitude and avoid further embarrassing yourself in a public forum.  Just my two cents.

  • Can i use a 85 watt charger for my macbook pro that came with an 60 watt charger?

My charger broke a few weeks ago and i ordered another one on amazon and that broke within a week so i'm going to just buy another one from the apple store. But i dont want to wait to order one because i currently cant use my laptop since it died (i dont live near an apple store), but theres a store that sells apple products. they only have 85 watt for the laptops though. so would i be able to use that without ANY issues? I would rather order from the apple store than to buy something that can cause problems, so i just want to know if my macbook will be safe if i use an 85 watt instead of the 60 watt, which is what originally came with my laptop. Thank you.

An 85 watt charger will be fine. Generally, you can use a higher-powered charger than the one that came with your MBP - but using a lower-powered charger is not recommended.

  • Can I use Nokia AC-16 charger for my Lumia 620?

    Hi guys, first post here.
    I couldn't find this anywhere, however i have both a Lumia 920, and a 620.
I just find it wierd that my white 620 comes with a black AC-50 charger rated for 1.3A and my black Lumia 920 comes with a white AC-16 rated for 1.0A.
I'm lending my 620 to my gf for a while and i read on the Nokia Lumia 920 user guide that both an AC-50 and AC-16 can be used to charge it, great!
But the Lumia 620 user guide states to use an AC-50, no mention of the AC-16.
So, anyone here with experience can tell me if i can, infact use an AC-16 for my Lumia 620? It makes more sense to swap them around.
    Thanks

AC-16 is compatible to the Nokia Lumia 620 so it's okay to use it as mentioned by adrianhughes.
AC-20, AC-50 and AC-50U are the other compatible USB chargers for the said phone. Cheers.

  • Can I use an 85 watt charger for my 15" mac book pro

the 15" came with a 60 watt charger - it is okay to use the more powerful charger (that came with a 17" mac book pro) on the smaller laptop?

  • Can i use iphone as FaceTime camera for my mac mini

    hello all.
I have a Mac Mini and an iPhone.
I love using FaceTime on my iPhone but I would like to use the FaceTime on my mac mini to take advantage of the larger screen. 10 people trying to look at an iPhone screen at the same time isn't easy.
I've been searching the web and app store for a way to use my iPhone 4 camera with the Mac face time.
it seems like such an obvious thing and im surprised it doesnt 'just work'.

You can use a non-Apple drive.

  • Elements 12 Box--Can I Use Software on a PC and a Mac Air?

I know this was discussed previously with respect to an earlier version of Elements, but the software licensing language is confusing.
Is this correct for Elements 12:
    1)  If I were to download the software, I would need to make separate purchases for the PC and for the Mac
    2) If I buy the Elements box that contains discs for PC and for Mac, I can load the software on each of my computers and use it on each (as long as it is not open on each computer at the same time.
    Thanks for any help.

The simplest way is to download the free trials for PC & Mac using the link below. You then have 30 days to purchase the DVD’s from your favorite store or on-line reseller.
Enter the product serial number from your disk packaging and no further installation is required. The products become permanent on both platforms and you have the DVD’s for both platforms as your backup.
