Can I use constants in my Style declarations?

I'm not good at reading colors in hex, so is there a way to use constants when defining my CSS Styles?
ex:
what I have:
<fx:Style>
        @namespace s "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark";
        .myActionBar
            chromeColor: #990000;
</fx:Style>
what I want:
RED = #990000;
<fx:Style>
        @namespace s "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark";
        .myActionBar
            chromeColor: RED;
</fx:Style>

As I said, there are some pre-defined color names.  You can specify other color names, but they won’t get picked up by the CSS parser.

    Thank you Mr.Jhon and everyone.
    My client asked me "how can I see the pages on dashboard with many CSS"
    Sorry...Actually I can`t use ENGLISH very well...
    For example)
    Page1 has two tables.
    These table`s font-size is 12pt.
    page2 has two tables too.
    These table`s font-size is also 12pt.
    In this case, I only want to change table`s font-size 10pt in page2.
    The font is set the file "/OracleBI/oc4j_bi/j2ee/home/applications/analytics/analytics/res/s_oracle10/b_mozilla_4/views.css"
    If I change this css file, page1 and page2 has same format of tables.
    So I need to change olny one page`s table font-size using Custom Css Style.
    This is my best writting...Sorry...;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
    Thanks everyone...If you understand me, please help me.^^

  • [svn] 3148: You can now use CSS styles to set the default text format for TextView.

    Log Message:
    You can now use CSS styles to set the default text format for TextView. It no longer has any formatting properties. It supports the entire set of Gumbo text format styles.
    SkinnableComponent and Group now also support all these styles. However, skins such as ButtonSkin, TextInputSkin, and TextAreaSkin continue for now to specify instance styles on their TextBox, TextGraphic, and TextView, in order to give them a Gumbo look rather than a Halo look. So if you try setting, for example, the fontSize on the Application, it doesn't yet affect the text format of a Button, TextInput, TextArea, etc. unless you remove the instance style in the skin.

  • OpenerLink - url ends with ampersand.  can't use style class...

    hello. i am using openerLink to link to communities. i also want to apply a style class to the link text. however the url that is generated ends with an ampersand. consequently, it ignores the style class. the href is shown below.
    href="http://hera:8080/portal/server.pt?space=Opener&control=OpenObject&cached=true&parentname=Gateway&parentid=None&in_hi_ClassID=512&in_hi_userid=2&in_hi_ObjectID=209&in_hi_OpenerMode=2&" class="bulletTextLink2" border="0"
    when i remove the ampersand, it works perfectly (it uses the style).
    what is the solution? obviously i don't have direct control over the generation of the href. can i append something to the url so that it doesn't end in an ampersand?
    thanks

    The message above was posted by me two years ago and was brought to my attention today. Here's a short update: The network team added a load balancer mdaoid in front of, and resolved to, mdaoid1 and mdaoid2 (in round-robin fashion). The problem described in this thread is bypassed because the JDBC URL can simply use one-OID format, in which mdaoid is used as the LDAP server.

  • How Attributes declared in Component level can be used in All the views

    How Attributes declared in Component level can be used in All the views
    For Example :
    say :             context type ref to if_wd_context_node.
    is declared at component controller level and check box public is checked !!
    How can we use this any view in same WDP Component..
    For suppose : in this case
    We want to get the ref of child node using above declared attribute..
    How is it possible?
    Say in detail

    You can do this by doing the exact same like you did with the if_wd_context_node.
    1. Define attribute in Comp Controller and set it PUBLIC.
    2. Access the attribute over the reference of the comp controller, i.e. wd_this within the comp controller itself or wd_comp_controller within somewhere else in the component.
    So if you have, lets say, this defined as attribute in your comp controller:
    Z_MY_TABLE_REF  [X] TYPE REF TO [X] PUBLIC   CL_WD_TABLE.
    And then you want to catch the reference into a local variable within a method or the like within a view:
    DATA: lo_my_table_ref TYPE REF TO CL_WD_TABLE.
    lo_my_table_ref = wd_comp_controller->z_my_table_ref.
    Lekha has already said so as well, I don't really understand where the problem is

  • How to avoid using constants ?

    Hello,
    I am starting a new project and I am thinking of a way to avoid using constants.
    For example, in a report, it selects all the order with types ZLN and ZLB.
    I know that I have several possibilities :
    - hard code it in the program (using constants which I want to avoid)
    - create a specific table with all the types that I want to select (this may be the best solution but it can be very long -> too much table to create)
    - put the parameter in the selection screen (but then we have to put default values which come back to the same problem)
    So, I didn't found any perfect solution, Do you know what is the method recommended by SAP ?
    What kind of technics did you use in you projects ?
    Thank you for your help !

    Hi Friend ,
    As you taught , there are  multiple  ways to handle the constants in the program.
    But finally time & efficency matters alot  .
    so my  idea would be  i will  list all the constant & get the quick understanding of the constant type's.
    For example : Order type is Customizing data  which will maintained  by Fun.Consultant  , so i will give work for him to maitain the Varient against  Order type in the TVARC table .so that  in the program  i will declare one order type vraible  under atselection-screen event i will write select Query to get the vaule from the TVARC table which will be maintaine . we can write the execption also with sy-subrc <> o.if it is not maintianed .so far all customizing data fields  this would be the best way for constants maintaining outside your program  .
    Similarly if any system constants then we can get it in runtime  with SYST table parameters .
    if there are any  ABAP Program Constants  ( Titles,labels ,case condition parameters,ect) maintain in the tprogram ext elements , or you can generically maintain a Utility class where you can create an attribute  so that whereeven you want you can reuse the same  .

  • How can I hide constant variable value in class file?

    hi,everybody.
    I am having a problem with constant variable which define connectted with database(URL,username,password).
    when I used UltraEdit to open class file, I can see constant variable value.
    Thanks!

    OK, let's see. Firstly, if I may correct your terminology, the phrase "constant variable" is a paradox (I think that is the right word). You have either one of the other. You declaration is either 'constant' or 'variable' (ie: it can change at run-time or it doesn't). People often use the term 'variable' and 'declaration' interchangably which is where the confusion lies.
    Anyway, onto the real problem. It seems that you want to protect your connection details (in particular the password, I would guess). Unfortunately, Java compiles not to machine-code, but byte-code which is semi-human-readable. So people, if they are inquisitive enough, will always be able to see it if they try hard enough.
    You can do one of two things:
    (1) Get an 'obfusticator'. An obfusticator is something that you run over Java source files and it completely messes it up (without modifying functionality). You then compile and the original source is such gibberish that the byte-code is very difficult to understand. However, the password will still be in there somewhere.
    (2) Don't put sensitive information into your source. Have this kind of info in external files (encrypted) and allow your class to read this file, decrypt, and use it.
    Hope that helps.
    Ben

  • Can I use multiline SQL commands in a query (within a component)?

    I would like to modify the following query:
    <td>ItranslationString</td>
         <td>
         INSERT INTO TRANSLATIONSTRINGS (daKey, daLanguage, daTranslation, daStringFlag, daSourceFile) VALUES (?, ?, ?, 'N', ?)
         </td>
         <td>daKeyField varchar
         daLanguageField varchar
         daTranslationField varchar
         StringTranslationFilename varchar
         </td>
    so that the daSourceFile a) is selected from another record, if it exists b) uses the constant, if not.
    In SQL Command the commands (without placeholders) look:
    declare c integer;
    res varchar(30);
    key_var varchar(100);
    def_lang_var varchar(5);
    begin
    key_var := 'newString';
    def_lang_var := 'en';
    res := 'ap_string.htm';
    select count(*) into c FROM TRANSLATIONSTRINGS WHERE daKey = key_var AND daLanguage = def_lang_var;
    if c > 0 then
    select daSourceFile into res FROM TRANSLATIONSTRINGS WHERE daKey = key_var AND daLanguage = def_lang_var;
    end if;
    INSERT INTO TRANSLATIONSTRINGS (daKey, daLanguage, daTranslation, daStringFlag, daSourceFile) VALUES (key_var, 'cs', 'translation', 'N', res);
    end;
    However, such a query does not work in the query resource (multiline commands cannot be used?).
    Neither can I think of one line query that would provide the same functionality (tried to test with COALESCE).

    Yes, I got the point. The query looks like:
    INSERT INTO TRANSLATIONSTRINGS (daKey, daLanguage, daTranslation, daStringFlag, daSourceFile)
    SELECT daKey, daLanguage, daTranslation, daStringFlag, daSourceFile FROM (
    select 'newString1' daKey, 'en' daLanguage, 'transl' daTranslation, 'N' daStringFlag, daSourceFile FROM TRANSLATIONSTRINGS WHERE daKey = 'newString1' AND daLanguage = 'cs' UNION ALL SELECT 'newString1' daKey, 'en' daLanguage, 'transl' daTranslation, 'N' daStringFlag, 'default' daSourceFile FROM DUAL)
    WHERE rownum<=1;
    so that's the way how to solve it via SQL.
    (Since I can't use DECLARE, I need to bind entry parameters as many times as they appear in the query - not a very nice way, but it works).
    The question still is, whether there is a way how to use a multiline query in Component Queries. Even though it is not mentioned specifically in the documentation, it seems it is NOT to be possible by design. So the real question is really WHY - I guess it would be a little bit more convenient to begin/commit transactions, use variables, etc. in a multiline query.
    Yet, Sam, thanks!

  • Question about using constant variables in Forms

    As I am still very new to Forms, please forgive my ignorance if the answer to my question is very simple. I am trying to figure out how to use constant variables within my Forms application. For example, if I want to setup return code constants for the application (mind me, these are examples):
    RC_SUCCESS CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 1;
    RC_FAILURE CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 0;
    RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND := 50;
    Then in a module I created, if I wanted to check the return code against one of the constants I would do:
    DECLARE
    rc PLS_INTEGER;
    BEGIN
    GET_YEAR_DATA('2000', rc);
    IF rc = RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND THEN
    -- Do some error handling
    END IF;
    END;
    I know that you can declare constants within individual procedures or packages but I can't see to find information on how to do this globally for the application. I've read about using global variables within Forms but the CHAR data type only and the fact the value can be changed doesn't really fit for this purpose. Am I missing something? Is there a config file or something for the webserver that can be used to set these up??
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    To declare constants create a Package-Specification in a pll and deifne all your constants there, something like:
    PACKAGE PK_CONSTANTS IS
      RC_SUCCESS CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 1;
      RC_FAILURE CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 0;
      RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND := 50;
    END;Then attach that pll to all your forms-modules, and use it like
    IF rc = PK_CONSTANTS.RC_YEAR_DATA_NOT_FOUND THEN
    END IF;A word about exceptions or errors: In my eyes its clearer (and in case of exceptions even better) to raise an exception than to hide it behind return-codes.

    Q1)That means even if i return predefined types like integer, varchar2 then also PGA is used ?The data type does not determine where the variable is stored. A string (called a varchar2 in Oracle) can be stored in stack space, heap space, on disk, in a memory mapped file, in a shared memory, in an atom table, etc.
    It is the who and what is defining and using that string, that determines where and how it is stored.
    The Oracle sever supports 2 languages in PL/SQL. The PL (Programming Logic) language is a procedural/declarative language. It is NOT SQL. SQL is integrated with it. The PL/SQL engine uses private process memory (PGA). So PL/SQL variables exist in the PGA (but there are exceptions such as LOBs).
    Q2) So please suggest me solution in oracle.Sounds to me you are looking at how to implement a T-SQL style function as an Oracle function, and once implemented, do joins on the function.
    Do not use PL/SQL in SQL in place of a SQL select. It is not T-SQL.
    One cannot use PL/SQL to create functions along the style of T-SQL, where the function executes a SQL using some conditional logic, and then return as if the function was a native SQL select.
    T-SQL is an extension to the SQL language - making it a hybrid and very impure language implementation. PL is based on ADA - part of the Pascal family of languages. The E-SQL (embedded SQL) approach used in languages like C/C++, Cobol and Ada, has been transparently done in PL/SQL. You can write and mix PL code and variables with SQL code. And the PL/SQL engine figures out how to make the call from the PL/SQL engine to the SQL engine.
    But PL/SQL is not "part" of the SQL language and does not "extend" the SQL language in a T-SQL fashion.
    So you need to check your SQL-Server preconcepts in at the door, as they are not only irrelevant in Oracle, they are WRONG in Oracle.
    The correct way in Oracle, in a nutshell - Use the SQL language to do data processing. Use PL/SQL to manage conditional process flow and the handling of errors.

    It is faster than using a normal FOR loop to execute dynamic PL/SQL - a bit surprising as I expected another context switch to be in there. But seems like the PL/SQL engine is a more clever at optimisation than what I originally credited it with.. ;-)
    Of course - pre-compiled/static PL/SQL code in a FOR loop is the fastest, as expected.
