Can I use my 10 watt charger from my iPad 3rd generation to charge my iPhone 4

Can I use my 10 watt charger from my iPad 3rd generation to charge my iPhone 4

While iPhone and iPod chargers don't really charge the iPad, the iPad charger will successfully charge all other devices.

  • Can I use the 85 watt charger on the 13" unibody aluminum MBP?

Can I use the 85 watt charger on the 13" unibody aluminum MBP instead of the 60 watt that came with it??
Is it safe to use any of the 3rd party chargers instead of the $79 Apple model?? Some of these are 1/2 the price or less

"Some of these are 1/2 the price or less..."
How much is your computer worth: $40, $50? The counterfeit power adapters that I've seen are improperly grounded - is that OK for your computer or you personally? The real power adapters meet are necessary international safety and agency compliance standards - do the counterfeit products meet the same threshold. The real power adapters have over-current, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection...do the counterfeit products have these features.
Is your personal safety and your computer worth more than $40 or $50?

  • Can i use a 85 watt charger with a new macbook air

Can i use a 85 watt charger with a new macbook air that comes with a 45 watt charger. One says its 14.8 volts and the other is 20 volts.

To be clear, the wattage of the adapter is not the power delivered to the Mac, but rather the power the adapter is capable of delivering.
Think of it as the difference between a 200 HP and a 400 HP engine; both can drive at a certain speed with no issues, the difference is what happens if you floor the gas pedal.
The same is true between the higher wattage power adapter that comes with the iPad and the one that comes with iPhones; you can use the higher wattage adapter to charge and iPhone with no issue, but if you try and use the iPhone adapter to charge the iPad it may work, but it will take much, much longer.

  • Can i use a 5 watt charger on ipad retina?

Have an ipad retina display ( not mini) my charger got ruined and bought a 5 watt charger, can i use it?, will it ruin my ipad? Will it reduce the overall batrery life. Thank you for support

No, the iPads use chargers that are either 10 or 12 watts...a 5 watt charger is not powerful enough to charge an iPad.

  • Can i use a 85 watt charger for my macbook pro that came with an 60 watt charger?

My charger broke a few weeks ago and i ordered another one on amazon and that broke within a week so i'm going to just buy another one from the apple store. But i dont want to wait to order one because i currently cant use my laptop since it died (i dont live near an apple store), but theres a store that sells apple products. they only have 85 watt for the laptops though. so would i be able to use that without ANY issues? I would rather order from the apple store than to buy something that can cause problems, so i just want to know if my macbook will be safe if i use an 85 watt instead of the 60 watt, which is what originally came with my laptop. Thank you.

An 85 watt charger will be fine. Generally, you can use a higher-powered charger than the one that came with your MBP - but using a lower-powered charger is not recommended.

  • Can I use an 85 watt charger with my mac air

I have multipke 85 watt chargers from mmp's but only one for a 2011 mac air and want to be sure that it is safe to use the 85 watt chargers, hate to waste $ purchasing a charger just for the mba.
    Thanks

It's fine. You can use a higher than specified wattage, just not a lower one, when charging a MacBook.
My MBA is tied to a 85 watt this very moment, and most of the time.

  • HT4060 Can I use my 10 watt charger overseas or to a 220 wattage ? This for iPad 3

Have iPad 3with 10 watt charger - can I use this overseas (Philippines) with 220 wattage?

Technically, there is a difference between a convertor and an adaptor.
Adaptor - changes to plug configuration to match the socket
Convertor - changes the voltage from 220v to 110v
Most, Apple chargers are 100-240v, so you would only need an adaptor.
Check your charger, if it's only 110v then you will need a convertor. Plugging a 110v only device into a 220v socket will burn out the device.

  • Can I use an 85 watt charger for my 15" mac book pro

the 15" came with a 60 watt charger - it is okay to use the more powerful charger (that came with a 17" mac book pro) on the smaller laptop?

Here is Apple's official position on use of adapters.

  • Can I use my bluetooth to print from my IPAD

Is there anyway I can print directly from my IPAD using my bluetooth?

As far as I can tell, there is no way to print directly from your iPad to a printer via Bluetooth.
Apple created audio and keyboard "drivers" for Bluetooth on the iPad, but they did not add functionality to send printable content via Bluetooth.
Apparently, there is a technology called AirPrint that will work for iPad printing, but it is specific to only certain printers - and it uses WiFi (i.e., the Internet) to print rather than Bluetooth.
There are also several printing programs that will essentially pipe your pages to your desktop Mac/PC (or the software developer's server), and then send them back to your local computer - but those seem cumbersome at best.
So, the answer to your question is that there seems to be no way to print from your iPad via Bluetooth, becaue the Bluetooth technology on the current iPad will only transmit audio or keystrokes.
If someone knows of another option, I'd like to hear about it, too.

  • Can't see shared printer with IOS 6 on ipad 3rd generation

I just upgraded my 3rd generation ipad to iOS 6.0 and now it won’t see the shared printers at my office. The printers are shared on a Mac mini server running OS X Server Lion 10.7.4. I can still see the shared printers and can print to them from a 3rd generation ipad with iOS 5.1.1.
Does anyone know what apple changed with iOS 6.0 that makes it where the shared printers aren’t showing up and what I might need to do to get them back working on my ipad with iOS 6.0?
    Thanks -

iOS printing to a non-AirPrint printer is not supported. There's more information here: AirPrint 101
If you had iOS printing working through yout OS X Server then you must have had another piece of software running in the server emulating AirPrint. That software isn't compatible with iOS 6.

  • Can I use the same sim card from my iPad 1 and use it in my new iPad 3 4G?

I have been having difficulty getting a straight answer please someone help me. I have an unlimited plan on my old sim that cannot be transferred I'm really hoping I can use the same one

From what I understand the AE cards from the last model PM G5s will go into a MP although I would not suggest you do this as it's not as if you're going to save a stack of money over it. It's not going to support 802.11n connection formats and may not have the correct electrical requirements so may damage your MP.
    For instructions, try searching Google.

  • Can we use the same electrical charger of IPhone 5 to IPod classic

    Hi,
This is Rayudu. Recently I purchased iPhone 5 and 4 years back I purchased IPod classic 120 GB.
My question is - Using the electrical plug of iPhone 5 can we charge iPod classic ? I will use the same USB cable of iPod classic, Only the electrical plug I am going to use of iPhone 5 's.
    Please suggest.
Thanks for your replies in advance.

Yes, you can use the iPhone 5 charger with the classic's charging cable to charge any older iPod or iPhone. An iPad would require the larger 10w charger.

  • Can I use an 85 watt car charger on my 2007 macbook 2.1?

can I use an 85 watt car charger on my 2007 macbook 2.1?

Yes you can. The Macbook will draw what it needs. 85 watts is the maximum rating of the power adapter. Strictly speaking this means up to 85 watts.
